The fact that so many grown men around her had those extremely weird and inappropriate feelings about her/attitudes towards her tells us everything we need to know about child pageants imo. This whole story is just so upsetting and sick.
This is what I think is the worst part about this case. Why are there seemingly random guys with vague or no connections to JonBenet talking about her like they’re really close family friends. It’s odd to say the least.
@@Rob-lv3fc well, ppl talk about celebrities similarly. and she was a child celebrity of sorts on the pageant circuit. not to defend child pageants they're gross but it's a behavior that happens fairly regularly.
i feel like the old santa claus guy was just a sad old man. his daughter was kidnapped, so he may have thought of the girl as his daughter-figure and grew such an attachment he wanted to forever remember her even in the afterlife.

In the defense of Bill McReynolds weird connection to JonBenét, losing a child in such a tragic way as kidnapping is absolutely traumatizing. Receiving kindness from a little girl that likely reminded him of his stolen child when no other child had done such a kind thing for him before, would very likely touch his heart in a way that he would feel a fondness that many may perceive as odd. I say this having know several people who lost one of their children in tragic ways, my parents included, all of which have always felt a fondness for those who remind them of their lost children, even if they may not actually know each other well.
@emimia I acknowledge his behavior is deemed strange and even inappropriate to many, but that does not mean he’s actually done anything harmful. You are entitled to your opinions just as I am entitled to mine, but please don’t be disrespectful to those who have suffered mental and emotional trauma such as Bill McReynolds. Calling a man with, likely, very difficult mental and emotional struggles a ‘creep’ is rude and uncalled for, so please be more respectful in the future as you never know the full story behind a persons actions; just as I don’t know the exact reason you react in such a way.
Exactly, I understand that his actions can seem odd and that investigators may think of it as suspicious, but he doesn't deserve to be called a creep or have accusations of horrible things thrown at him because of it.
Tbh since I'm probably a dumb parent in the future, if I see a ransom note in my stairs and read what it said I would probably assume that my child is kidnapped somewhere. But I would also recall the time of events to be sure
Siddhi Gosavi also i find it strange that they didn’t check on their 6 year old for that many hours..... they wrote a lengthy letter and abused her inside the house? how far away was the little girls bedroom from the parents? they used one of her paint brushes and the little girls note book no doubt from her bedroom? how did the parents not hear any of this.... i have a huge house but you could still hear a scream... i’m sure she wpuld have screamed if a strange man was in her room, and if it was family or family friends wouldn’t they have heard the man talking or something just seems SO OFF THE WHOLE STORY
He holds the aces. He was repeatedly investigated at a young age and was found innocent by the investigators so anyone who messed up with him will pay a hefty price.
am i crazy or did they at one point talk about it? i swear i remember watching it years ago and them saying something about burke using a hammer, but yet it’s not there now.
sadly many people are pedophiles and seeing a young little Famous model girl dressed up like an adult it just turn them on (eww) they get too clingy creepily protective offering everything to make the girl smile, since fame and prettiness be ofcourse around many people, these creeps be happy to pretend being the ''nice uncle''
JonBenét was without a doubt murdered by someone who lived in that household. I'm sorry but there's just no way you wouldn't run around every part of the house looking for your daughter. I think her brother did it and the parents covered it up for him because they didn't want to lose both children. Who would write such a long ransom note, in the house and then kill JonBenét anyway? Just makes zero sense.
I don't think it was the brother. It was someone else. I didn't see any signs of it being the brother. He was clear to me. He was not involved. And I think he just misses his sister.
@@castlenovelist97BOOKS I believe other people have said that the brother tends to sue people who name him as a suspect, so I can imagine they wouldn't cover the evidence pointing to the brother as a result.
This is what I suspect too, Shannon. I think the brother did it and the parents covered up for him, not wanting to lose both children. They chose to forgive him. They planted the ransom note
Here’s a creepy detail you missed, JonBenet was was a natural brunette, her mother Patsy had her hair bleached blonde at the age of FIVE so she could succeed in pageants. Anyone who’s ever bleached their hair will know that it can be pretty painful and cause quite a bit of damage to your hair. The idea of doing that to a five year old is....upsetting.
Sara bleaching hair, even when done correctly, usually causes a sort of burning sensation in your scalp. it’s fine when you’re an adult doing it if your own accord, but children... that’s messed up. their skin is so sensitive and when i was five getting braids done on my hair was painful enough, not to mention bleaching.
Idk man, my mom pierced my ears when I was 4. I feel like parents do wild things for their kids to look “cute”. I never really thought bleach hurt though, like I’ve bleached my hair before and I never thought anything of it.
¡casdean! Getting your ears pierced and bleaching your hair are two complete different things. Earnings are an accessory and the pain only lasts a second. Bleach in hair burns and damages your natural hair. It’s an uncomfortable feeling on adults let alone kids with sensitive skin.
The old man wanting his ashes mixed with the glitter was weird, but I don't believe he was a creep for it. He lost a daughter and being given a gift by a little girl maybe broke his heart a little because it reminded him of his own child that he lost, and then hearing that the little girl who gifted you something was brutally killed would break him further. I think it's sweet, he just wanted to remember her.
I hate the fact that she was literally molested but SA wasn’t really mentioned in the news about how she died. It wasn’t mentioned because she already had vaginal damage that pointed to her being sexually assaulted in the week up to her murder (if not for a longer period of time). So because she already had older signs that pointed towards SA, it isn’t mentioned anywhere that she was most likely also molested in relation to her murder. I also read an article that said she was molested by her attacker but that the attacker wiped her clean before leaving the scene.
It's a huge threat for a 6-year-old girl! It's like inviting yourself for a pedophile or a killer to kill yourself! Even lots of women victims I've heard unfortunately met their brutal death by participating in beauty contests like this. It will be unnecessary attention from rapists or murderers who's victims most likely women. It's so easy to lure them that's they might know your personal stuff. I don't recommend children like that age should participate in beauty contest even child actors catch the attractions of pedophiles or people who have an unusual obsession! It's so risky for a child like that who can't even save themselves from an attack. It's too dangerous for a child even for a teenager!
exactly it’s scary because you have adults looking at kids in dresses and little outfits that have all sorts a things going on and some adults look at children that way. i’m 13 and i would hate to do that. i’d hate to be in a pageant because adults are looking at me and not because of stage fright
The scariest thing about pageants is how they are judge on their sex appeal, like seriously they're kids, they shouldn't be worrying stuffing their shirts to have a more " hourglass figure". Also a thing that is really creepy how literally ANYBODY can go and watch these pageants and just record these kids. They should just throw the whole thing away.
It's already a big red flag, although sometimes the kids really want to do it, most times it's the parents pushing them. One of the theories I've heard in another video suggested the mom was really dolling her up and all to live through her and feel young and pretty again, but then when she started getting too much attention and praises she actually grew so jealous and bitter she killed her.
Another theory is that the mom allowed her daughter to be sexually molested by pedophiles (that's what child beauty pageants are for after all), and then flew into a rage with the girl, knocked her out and accidentally killed her. But the whole family is so messed up, any one of them could have done it.
This may be an unpopular opinion, but I don't think the family was involved. I think their treatment of JonBenet probably wasn't the best. However, in the US we have a system of justice based on evidence. The evidence proves that the family wasn't involved. The DNA doesn't match any of the family. The handwriting tests, at best, are inconclusive. The evidence doesn't support that anyone already in the house murdered her.
Joseph Carlisle It’s almost entirely agreed the dna evidence found was likely from other sources such as manufacturing also Cognitive Dissonance is when you exclude things that disagree with you look at the evidence such as the note pretty much shows it was the family
Joseph Carlisle look through some comments particularly Salim Ua or something like that his comment Summs it up pretty move proves it was the family pretty agreed on if you really look into the case and know all the evidence such as no sign of entry the entry was faked etc
The act is absolutely disgusting, not only the mother's are making dolls out of their children but they also ruin the kids life, they are harsh on them whenever they eat something they shouldn't or get injured accidentally. The mothers are technically only using their children so that they would be popular while the kids don't even know what is the world and what danger can go for them. Thank god that my country never supported this act and never will..
@Voice of Dharma you're not wrong, it isn't a funny thing to talk about. However, they're not talking about the situation in a mean-spirited way. They're not mocking the victim, they're not downplaying the horrible things she experienced at that young age, they're laughing at each other and the people who were pretty horrible to the victim. And like myself and others have said, it *was* pretty shocking to find out that a silly meme format came from this all-in-all quite depressing video. Sometimes laughing about a detail of something horrible helps you process the horrible thing, as long as you're respectful of the people hurt by it. (My tone may have gotten lost in written form, not trying to be rude.)
@@WeGoblinFolk I would agree but I think they’re trying to make better of a dark situation yk? Or maybe there nervous some people laugh when they are nervous 😌❤️
The fact that she was found in the basement says her family killed her, you don’t write a ransom note INSIDE the house no less and not take the child elsewhere. also the fact that they found the note and didn’t look for her at all is telling that they already knew where she was, they had killed her and the “ransom note” was their cover story
You don't call the cops to come over if you want to get away with it, until you've gotten rid of the body. They had every chance to, if they did this. They could have waited a whole day longer, if they'd wanted to... I don't believe they did it or knew she was there.
I'm not a mother. But if I found my child missing, even if there was a note, I would search EVERY INCH of my home before I did anything...It bugs me that her mother didn't do that.
Virginia Sinnes because she knew where she was at. As a mother myself, I would not sit and wait for police to find my child. But I also wouldn't cover up for someone who murdered my child whether it was an accident or not.
I’ve been to this house and one thing most documentaries or newspapers failed to bring up is the ally behind the house. It’s literally a perfect getaway route
There was actually no snow near the house at that time. The boudler police Department Only said there was snow near the house with no footprints to make the Parents Confess to the Murder. I
The pictures they took of the back of the house near the window the broken window with the suitcase underneath it with the gate remote? There was no snow on the sidewalk or part of the grass it had melted.
depends on the mother. i personally think the entire family was involved, but some mothers in general don’t think twice about their kids going “missing”. if their child was gone, they would figure out where they might be, or they would go absolutely insane and try to find them. depends on the mother’s personality though. i still think the brother did it
Even if they did believe JonBenet was kidnapped, I would at least be checking to see how/where they got into my house (i.e. broken door, window, etc.) and making sure no one is still in my house.
NOTE: this is all just speculation, i’m not saying this as fact, nor do i have any background in the criminal justice field. (only stating this bc watch the brother try to sue me if i didn’t-) i think all of the family played a part in it. it makes sense, seeing as it wouldn’t be weird for her parent’s dna to be on her clothes (ex. from changing her) and the dna from manufacturing makes it so it’s fallacious. i personally think the mom wrote the note, and the most likely strangled her since the younger brother wouldn’t have been strong enough. Maybe the brother hit her on the head?
Although the request for the glitter mixed with his ashes is kind of unsettling, I still think Bill's intentions weren't as bad as people make it out to be. I think Jonbenet just reminded him of his own daughter, and the glitter could have been symbolic to him.
The thing is, the mom started "crying", but not just crying. When she was crying she was trying to see if the police were looking at her crying, as if she was supposed to be sad. And the dad, when he found her, the basement had a lot of doors, but he specifically entered the one where JonBenet was in. And when he grabbed her, he didn't grab her like she was his daughter. He grabbed by the waist, like a doll, you would expect that he would grab her bridal style, and say "Oh my baby!" But he just grabbed her and put her on the floor to the police to see her.
@@syzygy4365given that unsolved and buzzfeed could easily get sued by stating something without having evidence for it I don’t think you have a thing to worry about
one thing that they didnt mention, but im pretty sure that they found pineapple in her system that was willing consumed before she was killed, and her mother is certain that she didnt eat it before she went to bed, implying that whoever killed her fed her the pineapple, also that she knew and trusted the killer
@@lazarus6366 they found the bowl on the table and it had finger prints of the mother and the brother but they also found the pineapple undigested in Jonbenet's stomach meaning she ate it shortly before she was killed

im telling ya the brother killed her for swiping the pineapple and he hit her on the head with a blunt object the mom panicked thinking she was dead and then killed her for real because she’d already committed by calling the cops the pineapple is just a big red flag i can’t believe ryan forgot it, like the undigested pineapple with a bowl of pineapple on the counter there’s no fucking way an intruder could have done it without taking the same pineapple from the bowl and feeding her right before murdering her plus the brother is creepy af look at his interviews
Some interesting facts not mentioned in this video: - the night Jonbenet was killed the next door neighbours heard a child's scream very late - the ransom note was the longest recorded ransom note ever found - jonbenet had been to hospital over twenty times in the course of one year, all heard trauma's caused by her brother - there is evidence showing that Mr and Mrs Ramsey and Mr Ramsey's company were heavily involved in a p*** ring - They found a book on Mr Ramsey's desk about how to make someone a s** slave - Burke favourite nighttime snack was melon, there was pineapple found in Jonbenets stomach even though everyone in the family said she never ate any that night (honestly this ones not rlly evidence it's just weird that they would lie about her eating pineapple???) - in the recorded phone call Mrs Ramsey made to the police you can hear her say in the background "why did you do this?" (Or something along those lines) -as soon as the body was found Mr Ramsey moved everything around compromising the evidence, some believe this was purposeful however his grief could have also caused him to do this.
I guarantee you her damned father had something to do with this! If not,he was the one who murdered her! Like, sooooo many inconsistent things: 1: the ransom note made no sense? Like, she died in a total different way than it said, and way earlier than it claimed. 2: the dad was the one who 'found' her,and messed the crime scene. 3: even if he didn't do it,the Bill guy may have entered the hiuse and he and the dad killed her together. I have a bad gut feeling about that whole damned family......I feel so bad for her,may she rest in piece.
i feel like the brother hurt her really bad but the father came down and found her still alive but the brother was freaking out because he hurt her again so the dad helped him kill her and then they were kinda working together and the dad was helping the son from not going to jail
Something that wasn’t mentioned that I learned about in my criminology class was that the knots made to bind her were very complicated knots. Burke was in the Boy Scouts and even had a handbook on how to make knots. Something else not mention was that pineapple was found in her stomach so at some point in the night she ate some, jonbenet and Burke shared a love of pineapple...it is definitely suspicious. Another thing that was left out was that when the ransom note and the mothers handwriting were analyzed over 200 similarities were found. Honestly, I feel like all 3 members of the family were involved but who knows for sure ofc.
This case really shocked me. Poor dear. Jonbenét was only 6 years old. She had a lot to live for, and didn't deserve that tragic ending. I hope they soon find the one who took that little girl's life.

Same. The podcast True Crime Garage did a mini series on this case and I learned a lot. Mainly, the house was improperly secured, evidence was mishandled and the scene was contaminated.
They sound like NT cops where you better prey nobody disappears in that state while you’re in it or you might get pinned for it & spend the rest of your life in prison for a crime you couldn’t be linked to to begin with. Scary stuff.
It’s so obviously the brother. He was and is, mentally unstable, isolated. He became enraged, already jealous of Jonbenet, and hit her in the head with a flashlight. Upon discovery, the parents covered it up to save the one child who was still alive. Patsy wrote that comical random letter and John staged the scene… case closed.
I'm back on this video for the same reason! :D The other cases have been solved thanks to advancement in DNA evidence, so it's possible that the DNA they did have that was inconclusive could still have a story to tell.
Probably not because unlike the others you mentioned, this is a cover up case. I feel like those in power know who is responsible *cough* the family *cough*but are corrupted to keep their mouth shut
This case has so many oddities to it that causes everyone to naturally question everything about it. 1) How can anyone enter a strangers house without leaving footprints in the snow outside, yet leave prints inside? 2) Who could have known where the mother kept her hobby kit? 3) What stranger could have taken time in a persons home to search for everything they used in the crime without alerting the homeowners? 4) Why was the home allowed to have neighbors & family to enter moments after the police arrived and contaminating the crime scheme? 5) Why does the note look as if written by a child? 6) Why was the father allowed to not only block access to the basement several times prior to finally allowing police to search it, but also allowed to quickly run straight to his daughter and hold her in his arms which also contaminated any possible evidence? Am I the only person who see's multiple problems with this heinous crime??
Yeah it’s so messy. I think it’s why people are particularly fascinated by this case, there’s so many details you get the feeling that the answer has to be in there somewhere

“He brought a gift from her into surgery because no one had ever given him a gift back.” That’s actually pretty sweet, he seems like a nice- “He wanted the glitter mixed with his ashes.” ...maybe not
I totally agree it’s weird but I think that he could’ve been more attached because of his daughters kidnapping. The glitter and ashes part is weird yes, but I wonder if he just grew a very strong attachment due to losing his own child, I don’t think he wanted to lose her. I wouldn’t want my ✨precious✨ glitter used like that tho 👁👄👁
The child murderer was very cunning to have written the ransom note in Patsy Ramsey's handwriting, and placing JonBenet back in the house after Patsy had called 911 to further implicate her was an act of sheer brilliance.
For people who's wondering what happened to the comments: The older videos has been moved from Buzzfeed Multiplayer to Buzzfeed Unsolved Network, hence the comments reset.
How did they do that though? The video still says it was uploaded in 2017, did they just ask RUclips? Otherwise they would have had to reuploaded, which would make the upload date more recent.
Someone needs to reopen this case. We have even newer tech than 5 years ago. We need an answer. We found the California killer like a million years later so investigators need to get on this.
This is the only time the legal team has informed Ryan he can‘t say who he thinks did it. Methinks he wanted to call out the famously litigious brother
How is it famously litigious when CBS made a whole documentary about how he was the culprit? Even if I did it I'd be litigious. Also, the father is still alive. So.
There was more information that they left out. There was a bowl in the kitchen that either had pineapple or remnants of pineapple. Burke, the 9-year-old brother, his prints were on the bowl. JonBenet's autopsy showed that she had pineapple in her stomach -- meaning that JonBenet ate pineapple shortly before she died as it was one of her favorite snacks. It's speculated that Burke, who had a propensity for violence since he struck JonBenet with a golf club in a fit of rage in the past, struck and killed his sister, and his parents covered it up, as that Patsy's 9-1-1 call was suspicious, and that John had carried his daughter's deceased body up to the family room. Granted, as annoying as it can be, most people act irrationally when something traumatic happens but idk. This case, and I'm sure everyone else agrees, is suspicious, cold, and ridiculous as it would feel open and shut with all the strange behavior, possible opportunities, some clues pointing to an individual or two. But, it's just a major headache and that the years go by with little to no leads. If Patsy was in fact not involved, I hope she's resting in peace along with her daughter.
I think it was her brother. Especially after reading the pineapple theory, + kids dont often think about the impact of things. He looks pretty damn creepy aswell.. Just look at the interview with him on youtube when he talks about the murder.
yall remember that one episode on criminal minds where the brother kills his own brother at a young age because of anger? then the parents knew so they asked help with their relative which is a police. The police then went into the house and staged his death to look like it was a stranger murder because they wanted to protect the psychopath brother
The family had to be involved. What kind of intruder breaks in, kills one child, and then just leaves without even taking anything? And the fact that her family doesn’t keep trying to push for justice today says a lot
@@nothobbesmufc949 nah I ain’t buying it. Not to be rude. And I ain’t no detective but… I truly think the family was involved somehow. There was a bunch of weird stuff about that note: 1)Mr. Ramsay, listen carefully Very odd, you don't listen to a letter you read a letter. 2) The two men watching over your daughter do not particularly like you, I would advise that you don't provoke them How would they know if you called the cops? Unless they're in the house watching everything you're doing. It would have been time to search the house from top to bottom, searching everywhere for intruders. Also "provoke" means "to bother", how would Mr. Ramsay bother them if he doesn't know them or know where they are? 3) The ransom was the exact same as his christmas bonus. That's little more than a drop of water in a bucket, he was a multi-millionaire and they're asking for just his Christmas bonus? 4) We are a small foreign faction... That's not intimidating at all. I feel like the old man with the glitter is just attached to JenBenet because his daughter was kidnapped and he probably never saw her again, so he probably saw her as his daughter and felt like his daughter died again when she was murdered
Actually his daughter survived the kidnapping. But I agree, I do not think McReynolds was involved in spite of the odd parallels. He was an old man with a bad heart condition, and I think he was genuinely fond of JonBenet--and NOT in a creepy way.
My mom has always been haunted by this story since my grandma wanted to get my oldest sister into pageants. She’s always believed it was either her father or another father from a pageant. Either one is horrible to think of how she must’ve felt in her last hour
The thing that's so creepy about all of these types of stories is the killers are just out there.. living their life, you could walk past them on the street and wouldn't even know that they were the mastermind behind these unsolved murders. If only there was a way to access the knowledge of the deads brain...
The way Ryan couldn't even present the most likely suspect in this case (Burke Ramsey) because otherwise he'd hit Buzzfeed with a multi-million dollar lawsuit 💀
There WAS enough proof. A grand jury indicted them in 1999. The DA refused to file the charges bc all they cared about from Day 1 was protecting the Ramseys. The fact that the grand jury voted to indict wasn't even known until a few years ago bc the DA basically lied about it. Money makes you immune from the law in this country.
i 1000% believe the family did this just to stir the pot, and that’s so sickening. i hope she is at peace in the afterlife. i think children pageants are so creepy…
I'm thinking maybe because that old guy who played santa cherished her gift bc he lost his own daughter. And thought of her as his own, or something. And it probably hurt when she died bc he knew what it was like losing his own daughter.
I saw a whole series on this case and I am absolutely convinced the brother killed her and the parents covered it up to protect him. hi so im just seeing this now after 9 months sorry- its the CBS special The Case of JonBenét Ramsey, and if you watch it it goes in to detail about the issues the brother had, proof a woman wrote the note, and much more. it was an inside job, tragic and heartbreaking
It's so crazy how "close to home" this is. I work in Boulder and lived in Boulder County for 20 plus years. I would be just 5 days older than her. It's creepy listen to this case while I'm in Boulder.
I feel the glitter mixed with the ashes isn't as creepy as they let on. It was just an old man that was given a gift, while playing Santa, and it affected him. After her death the memory of her probably impacted him a lot and the glitter more than likely became a symbol to him.
True. My niece drew me a picture when she was 4 and I still have it on my fridge, its just nice when a child does a kind gesture like that, it means a lot.
I mean, if I was to be burned to ashes for some reason or cremated, I would probably want to be mixed with glitter. I would always be sticking around and my ashes would definitely be more annoying that way. Also less chance to be snorted by someone thinking it is cocaine, glitter sticks around everywhere and more noticeable.
It’s definitely a little odd and off putting, but it is worth noting that the circumstances give justifiable reason to it. We didn’t hear what happened to McReynolds’ daughter, but assuming the worst, this very kind gesture of getting a gift from a little girl - the only time he ever received one while playing Santa - probably had a profound impact on him. He definitely was a bit obsessed about it, and JonBenèt but without the time frames and full context of his words, it could easily be a harmless old man with a lot of trauma, reacting to a kind gesture that meant a lot to him.

I think the brother accidentally killed her, as he has a history of sending her to the hospital after having violent rages. And after the parents saw her body and found Burke with her, they tried to make it seem like a kidnapping by writing a ransom note and it was quickly written, which is why it took them two tries and used the dads bonus as the amount of money needed. Then the dad tampered with her body to make it seem more believable and maybe the parents even paid off police and detectives when they were figuring it out. Her cause of death was a blunt force to the right side of the head (by a flashlight), and she was garroted to make it look like she was strangled. The blow to the head could have been caused by a child. It didn't take great strength. The 911 dispatcher who took the call from Patsy Ramsay was never called in to testify; however, in 2016, she said that after taking the frantic call from Patsy, she (dispatcher) never hung up the phone, and on the other end of the line she heard Patsy say in a dispassionate tone (paraphrasing slightly), "OK, we've called the police, now what do we do?" He probably had some jealousy going on since her being a peagant probably took a lot of attention away from him. These model citizen families in their mansions often have creepy ish going on behind closed doors and the american police would be quick to protect "respected" members of society. Also she had pineapple in her stomach, and she didn't like pineapple and her parents said that she had never eaten any pineapple. but who liked pineapple? her brother. maybe she stole some pineapple from her brother and he had a violent rage and he killed her, but her parents just tried to cover it up.
This is most likely what happened given that pagents take months to yrs to get ready and the history of him abusing her I still wonder did they parents ever care about the girl because they did a lot of work to make it look like a kidnapping they didn't stop the brother at all from the things he did to her I hope she having fun in heaven where she belongs 🕊😇
Also if you look at the interview done on him not to long ago as he was a grown man he seemed to smile the whole time and I get that could be him being uncomfortable or nervous but he just seems a bit off?

How can the parents report that their daughter is missing without even checking the whole house?

JonBenét was without a doubt murdered by someone who lived in that household. I'm sorry but there's just no way you wouldn't run around every part of the house looking for your daughter.
That's really weird of the mom to do, but how is bleaching your hair painful?
Sara bleaching hair, even when done correctly, usually causes a sort of burning sensation in your scalp. it’s fine when you’re an adult doing it if your own accord, but children... that’s messed up. their skin is so sensitive and when i was five getting braids done on my hair was painful enough, not to mention bleaching.
Isabella Calvao I got a perm done when I was 7 or 8 and my god, did it hurt, idk why parents think this is a good idea
Unfortunately, men aren't permitted to have emotions. Anything they do is inherently evil.

I automatically do not trust anyone that puts a 6-year-old in a beauty pageant...
So true
exactly it’s scary because you have adults looking at kids in dresses and little outfits that have all sorts a things going on and some adults look at children that way. i’m 13 and i would hate to do that. i’d hate to be in a pageant because adults are looking at me and not because of stage fright
One of the theories I've heard in another video suggested the mom was really dolling her up and all to live through her and feel young and pretty again, but then when she started getting too much attention and praises she actually grew so jealous and bitter she killed her.
two theories-
1. her father molested her and decided to kill her afterwards
2. The brother killed her and the parents decided to cover for him
Another theory is that the mom allowed her daughter to be sexually molested by pedophiles (that's what child beauty pageants are for after all), and then flew into a rage with the girl, knocked her out and accidentally killed her.

We can at least stop one crime if not her murder. Child beauty pageants. They are too weird who does that or watches it? Gross.
Those damned child beauty pageants are nothing but women pimping out their daughters and wanting to live vicariously through them.
the only audience i can think of, sadly, is pedophiles, and it grosses me out so much.
The fact that she was found in the basement says her family killed her, you don’t write a ransom note INSIDE the house no less and not take the child elsewhere. also the fact that they found the note and didn’t look for her at all is telling that they already knew where she was, they had killed her and the “ransom note” was their cover story

I’m sorry there’s no way a mother wouldn’t freak out and search the house high and low for her daughter before reporting her missing
depends on the mother. i personally think the entire family was involved, but some mothers in general don’t think twice about their kids going “missing”. if their child was gone, they would figure out where they might be, or they would go absolutely insane and try to find them. depends on the mother’s personality though. i still think the brother did it
Even if they did believe JonBenet was kidnapped, I would at least be checking to see how/where they got into my house (i.e. broken door, window, etc.) and making sure no one is still in my house.
NOTE: this is all just speculation, i’m not saying this as fact, nor do i have any background in the criminal justice field. (only stating this bc watch the brother try to sue me if i didn’t-)
i think all of the family played a part in it. it makes sense, seeing as it wouldn’t be weird for her parent’s dna to be on her clothes (ex. from changing her) and the dna from manufacturing makes it so it’s fallacious.

Some interesting facts not mentioned in this video:
- the night Jonbenet was killed the next door neighbours heard a child's scream very late
- the ransom note was the longest recorded ransom note ever found
- jonbenet had been to hospital over twenty times in the course of one year, all heard trauma's caused by her brother

- Burke favourite nighttime snack was melon, there was pineapple found in Jonbenets stomach even though everyone in the family said she never ate any that night (honestly this ones not rlly evidence it's just weird that they would lie about her eating pineapple???)
- in the recorded phone call Mrs Ramsey made to the police you can hear her say in the background "why did you do this?" (Or something along those lines)
-as soon as the body was found Mr Ramsey moved everything around compromising the evidence, some believe this was purposeful however his grief could have also caused him to do this.

1: the ransom note made no sense? Like, she died in a total different way than it said, and way earlier than it claimed.
2: the dad was the one who 'found' her,and messed the crime scene.
3: even if he didn't do it,the Bill guy may have entered the hiuse and he and the dad killed her together. I have a bad gut feeling about that whole damned family......I feel so bad for her,may she rest in piece.

The only thing that would explain away all of these oddities is if she was killed by her family...

The child murderer was very cunning to have written the ransom note in Patsy Ramsey's handwriting, and placing JonBenet back in the house after Patsy had called 911 to further implicate her was an act of sheer brilliance.

@@nothobbesmufc949 Wouldn't that make you like 17 times more suspicious?

2) The two men watching over your daughter do not particularly like you, I would advise that you don't provoke them
How would they know if you called the cops? Unless they're in the house watching everything you're doing. It would have been time to search the house from top to bottom, searching everywhere for intruders. Also "provoke" means "to bother", how would Mr. Ramsay bother them if he doesn't know them or know where they are?
3) The ransom was the exact same as his christmas bonus. That's little more than a drop of water in a bucket, he was a multi-millionaire and they're asking for just his Christmas bonus?
4) We are a small foreign faction...
That's not intimidating at all. Most kidnappers / Terrorists make themselves sound threatening. We represent a group of multi-national terrorists... we're a group of hired assassins... not a small group

Honestly that I can believe. Especially since his daughter had died, he was probably way more attached to her
Agreed. Sentimental to the old man as he lost a child

The 911 dispatcher who took the call from Patsy Ramsay was never called in to testify; however, in 2016, she said that after taking the frantic call from Patsy, she (dispatcher) never hung up the phone, and on the other end of the line she heard Patsy say in a dispassionate tone (paraphrasing slightly), "OK, we've called the police, now what do we do?"
