Thanks for a nice ride! 😆 I've got V100 S since the end of may and since then I did already 6200 kms on it. I owned V85 TT before and V85 is one of these bikes on which you sit and ride and you feel as you have it fo a long time. V100 S on the other hand needs some time to fully understand what the bike needs (at least in my case) but after that first period you realize that this is a very potent machine a f..ing good bike. It is very versatile, you can tour on it, you can sport on it and like you said it is a modern bike but they somehow achieved that in the same time it is still Guzzi with all the character you want from this brand. (yes I am long time Guzzi fan and had 3 other Guzzis before) The bike as a whole, the quickshifter, the Öhlins suspension everything need time to settle in, to work as expected, big improvement came after about 5000 kms. In the end I have no regrets that I made a trade in for my V85 TT as V100 S is perfect universal bike for all my needs. 😉
I own a 2007 Breva 1100. Lovely bike in some ways the predecessor of the Mandello. Just like 911's no matter times change, Guzzi preserves the character: the same side-rocking feeling when idling, the same bellow at idling that reminds me of a palm muted rock guitar riff, the bellow of the exhaust that becomes a lovely baritone note at midrange and the unmisteakable character that made these bikes and the region I am from famous. Let's hope to see more in this direction.
That takes me back to my 20's. Living in the Texas hill country riding my sport bikes in the twisties. Very exciting days, just glad I lived through it.
I have a 1250GS and test rode a Mandello and Stelvio last week. BEST sounding stock exhaust ive ever heard, bar none. They also rode GREAT. Buying a Mandello in the spring.
Just bought a Mandello S and am in the break in period. Really liking this bike, very smooth on the whole. The cruise holds the exact mph, doesn't go above or below, like cars do. I noticed the active aero does help in the cooler weather. My hips and love handle area were far warmer than my thighs. The bike just feels polished as far as operating it goes. While it's fairly nimble it's not as nimble as my 650 RE, the RE is just a smidgen more nimble. I've fallen in love with this Mandello and am really enjoying it. Can't wait till spring to be out on the twistys. By then it will be broken in and I'll be used to it's ways.
Lovely! I bought a V85TT - my first Guzzi - three years ago after watching your raw. I was salivating over it since it came out and your video was the last drop 🙂 So thank you, I absolutely ADORE that bike. Now need a bigger garage for the V100S as well hahahahaha
@@Damian78687 it's a great bike, does everything well and exceeded my expectations. Obviously it's not a GS power wise but it's not meant to be one. Currently 40,000km and plan to keep it beyond 100k ;)
Test rode a Mandello and Stelvio last week. BEST sounding stock exhaust I've ever heard...It truly DOESN'T need an aftermarket slip on.... Put the big bore header on, and tune it...DONE. Even stock, it has the BEST pop on decel...
Excellent video as always ! I have to admit, that I also got a V85TT some months ago and your video contributed too ! Keep scraping pegs ! And always stay safe...
I pretty much agree with your total assessment. I did not like the Pirelli tires at all, once I switch from the Angle GT's to Dunlop Roadsmart tires the turn in was effortless and quicker and the bike feel more stable. Although the V100 does not really like being pushed hard, it does extremely well, I would like to have a steering damper for more aggressive riding.
The " pop pop pop" when you release the throttle... Music ! I wish i had enough money to buy the upcopming v100 Stelvio ^^ Great video and awesome riding skills
The low flickability of the Guzzi is maybe caused by the flat profile of its tyres. I'm sure that fitting sportier tyres it improves; also the handlebar could be wider to improve leverage.
Superb Moto Guzzi sound and character. Top riding from the dude. Who doesn’t love a quality Italian stallion, especially when the flying eagle is on the petrol tank?
I bought my V85 in part on how you loved the ride along with others. It's a comfortable machine and fun to ride. Love the looks of the V100 but a couple recurring annoyances in a lot of reviews is the buzzyness in the bars. That is usually bad for me so I did not even try this bike before I bought my v85 two months ago. Used but decked out with Bitubo suspension and all the performance mods already. very fun bike ,love it
Got tired of waiting so bought my lovely multi V2S, do love the sound of that engine, maybe next time👍 The V2S has the same power but less torque, it’s a great balance and plenty for the road.
I enjoyed watching the wings opening/closing . Nice machine and a great sound even with the stock muffler. It did backfire a lot more for my liking but hey ! Respectable acceleration although you don't buy a Guzzi for speed alone . Nice video thx
I had the opportunity to drive this machine 2 times now. Was really looking forward to it to, styling it up as a dream bike in my head but I came away dissapointed both times. I really disliked the turn in of the bike, it felt really indirect, like pushing the handle bars didnt produce an immediate response and I felt I could not control the amount of lean like I wanted. I tested it on a small track at a safety course and I was really slow and uncomfortable with it. I think it has something to do with how the handlebars are rather narrow and cranked back. Hell I felt more confidence flicking a GS and Multistrada around that tiny track than the Guzzi. Lovely engine tough.
Pay attention squids. Watch this guy's lines. The best I've ever seen on the internet. Including all the "How to ride" "how to corner" crap. Watch this guy.... Out wide...plant it...gas it. THIS is how to go fast on public roads and not eat it or get over your head. And DOWNSHIFTING on that torque monster... THATS where the fun is squids. 20yrs on big Guzzis. I imagine the V 100 is excellent.....just not 10k$ more excellent than my V 11 Sport.
I’ve been waiting for this one. Loved it…. But…. Too expensive for me sadly :( and it was a bit too leaned on the wrist for my daily use. Much attack oriented than I tough. But loved it.
Love the bike. Gonna buy one! One question... is it grounding out quite early? Am I hearing the hero blobs touching the road or is that your boots / knee pad? Doesn't look from the onboard like you're leaning off much.
Thanks for your video, man! RUclips is way too full of bike reviews with people just talking and talking and talking... damn, shut up and let me hear how that bike sounds!
Great vids and great riding. Help a fellow rider, what would you go for considering a bit of weekend touring and daily rides outside of town, I want to buy my first new bike this summer. Would it be the Honda NT1100 manual or the Moto Guzzi V100 S? Test rode the Honda, but didn't get to test drive the MG due to local test drive unavailability.
Again an amazing review! I owned a MG Griso 8V... So I love the particularities of the brand... looking at a new tourer which is comfortable on longer day rides but still reasonably flickable in the mountains (where I live) ... AND that's not an ADV, on the shortlist this V100 and the R1250RS... I believe you have driven both, which did you like the best and for what reason?
Test ride the Navy Marine version the other week, really enjoyed it. Handled great, superb brakes plenty of grunt from that engine for me my only criticism was the down shift 3-2-1 was a clunky don’t know if that would get less with miles.
Fantástica prueba de la Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello S, en un escenario sorprendente. Me ha encantado la carretera y la prueba al límite que haces de la máquina. Saludos cordiales 🏍✌

Glad to see someone use a Guzzi like it’s supposed to be used. Very few videos with Guzzi like this.

The X-Adv sounds much better😅
I agree. It sounds very similar to Honda's 750 P-twin & Aprilias 660 P-twin
