I can understand! The V85TT gives a lot more room! I do think the V100 is a better touring bike if you want to have a lot more power. But otherwise if I was touring 2-up I would also use the v85TT. But I do think the Stelvio will be even better (with this engine) thanks for your comment!
@@jeremycioe5700 I’m 100 procent sure they will. With this engine. I am also sure that the v100 will be a lot prettier . But the Stelvio fare more practical
This is my favorite color for the bike. Won’t be able to afford a new one anytime soon. So, I will probably be combing the used bike market for a year or two.
Lovingly shot on location in the 'hills of Holland'. 😉 Another 'top' quick review, look forward to the full version soon. As a fellow Griso owner (1200 SE) I share your pain. And if you wait for the new Stelvio (EICMA 2023), it will have some tech that's missing on the Mandello - radar cruise!
Love your comment thanks! This Friday the full version will be live! Awesome that you own a Griso too btw! The Stelvio will have radar. But I think that bike will be even more expensive. And something with ADV or High touring bikes is the fact that in most cases they are uglier dan sport touring bikes imho. If I buy this bike, I would also buy it for looks although the Stelvio will be a superior bike probably. But doesn't make sense next to my Desert X, this one does haha.....
Hey Droommotor: I like the black/grey Verson of the V100S, it is also my opinion 😉 but I´m sorry.....in the Netherlands there are no Curves/Corners like the german "Eifel" or "Sauerland" or "Alps", so the handling can´t be correkt rated. The Bike looks vedry fine and is my favourite, so thx for your test-drive
Thanks!! I do think there are enough curves To test it out.. and you can go fast on a roundabout. But I do envy roads like yours! I’m going to the Eifel at the beginning of August with the v100!
I have the S in Grey, love it. Thanks for the review. Not sure what you meant in saying you can’t see the speed you set on cruise control? As when you set the cruise control, it sets on the speed you are doing at the time and then you can increase in increments which show on the TFT. Only problem I found on CC was getting out of CC smoothly.
Hi Mark! Thanks for your reply! I thought I could not see the speed set but only know if it’s enabled. My Ducati has it also. There it says it’s set to 100 en then you can push it in increments if you know what I mean! Enjoy the V100!
@@droommotor thanks, bought the base version due to price and gold wheels 👍 Plus the money saved went on centre stand, fender extender, Oxford heated grips, latest edition. And hard guzzi panniers. And plenty left over for insurance, gap and fuel 😁👍
@droommotor: great reviers, i absolutekly agree. I also agree in one point: a must buy + also keep at least 1 air cooled Guzzi -- thats how i did it ;-)
The local dealer here only has the v100s special edition coming and two v100. It looks like a fantastic bike but im having a hard time thinking about owning a Desert X and a v100s. That is an expensive proposition. Hope your full review comes out soon. Keep the videos coming. Thanks!
@@mikec9265 full review should be there next week! Imho it is the perfect combo! Desert X for onroad and off-road and the v100 for everything else! But we are talking about two very expensive bikes here (all tough price of one new goldwing)
I think the V100 is way more composed and gentleman like than the Tuono. That one is a fun and aggressive bike. Although the brakes and suspension are on the same level. The griso is classic, old school and very heavy en way less comfortable but unique and beautiful. The v85tt is a Swiss Army knife. It could do everything but slow. And way more basic with lower quality components. The v100 is a lot more premium.
When I sat in the v100, I was instantly uncomfortable at 5’10 29 inch inseam. The Tuono fits me better. I do miss my Griso. I’m more of a day rider, canyon carver, 200-300 mile day rider max. I’m torn on getting another 17 Griso, keeping my Tuono or the new Yamaha XRS900. Interesting on the TT V85. I feel in the us they are overpriced for what you get. I am using 40-60% of the Tuono’s true capabilities.
Funny you ask this. I'm trading in both my V85 and my Tuono 660 for the V100 this weekend. ;) I think the v100 is a great mix of both the bikes. It has the practicality of the V85 but the power of the Tuono 660. Not as light as the 660 and doesn't have the range of the v85, but everything else is better I think on the v100. I test rode the v100 twice just to make sure I was willing to trade both in for it. Definitely more expensive, but you're getting a higher quality product.
@@StockySnail I have the v4 1100. I would a suggest takin her for a spin before you pull the trigger. I just wish the v100 had 15-20 more ponies & fit me better.
I like the bike, ride by wire, did Italian designers understand the meaning of that literally. Why is that wire sticking out and moving with the throttle?
Nice vid, sensible comments and I look forward to the full review. This bike truly does appear to be a masterpiece.

Green definitely needs gold wheels, just as it was presented before it's launch.
