I rode like that (8/10ths to 10/10ths) in my teens and early twenties. I am now 67 years old and got here because I grew out of it! These days I ride at 5/10ths most of the time and sometimes, if I know there's no debris on the road ahead, 6/10ths to 7/10ths.
However, I think old guys like me telling youngsters to slow down is rather hypocritical. I ignored the wise words passed down to me when I was in my salad days and I fully expect most youngsters to ignore mine these days. It's all part of growing up. Alas, some of us don't make it. In truth, there's not one rider over fifty, if he's been riding all his life, no matter how safely, that hasn't got here without luck on their side.

Right on man, I am 66 and picked up a Trident 660. Sure, I could have gotten the XSR900 or even an MT-10. But at this stage of my life, it is more fun to ride the 660 at 70% than clinging on for dear life riding a liter bike at maybe 40%.

I was 54 the first year and 55 the second time. First time I went by myself, the next year (after I showed everyone pics) the wife and another couple came with. Best motorcycle trip of my life, twice. Andermatt home base and then some little town in Dolomites that I can't remember right now. Thanks for the memories! BTW you can do it on a fairly tight budget, if you are careful. LOL, watch out for the busses my friends.

Not sure about that one, but the old Moto Guzzis like the old BMWs were tricky to ride. Is that a racetrack? You will crash sooner or later, no question, the distance to the driver in front of you is far too short if he has a problem. The way bikers are behaving here is terrible, can´t say having fun, it is not your road. If someone has an accident and get´s hurt, everyone is crying how could that happen. An average Guzzi owner. Old and experienced enouph to know the limits of his bike. Notice how the squids are bent off center, needlessly into the corners with a knee out while he is just sitting up straight, letting the bike do most of the leaning and watching where he's (She's?) going

Mattiiiiii😂direi che la mitica Guzzi si è comportata benissimo anche grazie al pilota naturalmente,e di sicuro non con gomme adeguate, anche le borse incidono, ciaoooo

Awesome road, and would ride fast and hard too, just not in a group... You are depending on the other riders to ride accordingly, or if gravel, rocks were in your riding line or the rider you're following, it could ruin your day....

Where is this ? Great road. Super riding from the Guzzi rider, thier body poistion compared to the S1000 rider that they passed is a great comparison.

I love this. Exactly the same speed, exactly the same road, and the guy who is doing counter steering has LESS lean angle than the knee draggers. It's astounding. I guess Fort Nine was right all along...

And much smoother transitions with a more neutral riding position. Notice how upset the MT10 gets with each body position change.

It looks quick but the camera is deceiving. They’re only going 60 -70 mph which on those roads isn’t really pushing it.

In my humble opinion, I think he could have better body position so he could decrease lean angle to his bike and reduce risk of loosing grip on the front tire. See how he moves his head to an upright position, away from the inside of the corner, instead of leaning his head and upper body to the inside.
The Rider with the camera does a better job and you can notice how his bike LCD display is at the left side when making a right turn. This means he is leaning his upper body to the inside of the corner.
    🤷‍♂️

This is exactly the opposite what you should do with that bike on the street
The more you lean the body the less control you will have when you need to correct bc of an obstacle.
      Trailbraking is key

    Nice ride, sub 100.
I trust very few to ride with at speed.
6 is my limit, errors multiply and things get ugly. A few roads in Pennsylvania and West Virginia we went much faster. In Florida now, really not possible here.
