I tried to clean up by merge distance from 0001 to 001. But it still not work. I already check my mesh in detail, there is not any holes on the mesh. What happen to my mesh.
Merge by distance doesn't always fix it. A hair mesh will often mess it is up, that's why I recommend separating it, and then weight painting it separately
Hello, thx for the tutorial, however for my situation it’s not the hair, I made a hairless character on MB Lab yet I still got the same error, any ideas ? Very good vid !
So in general it's a "bad topology" error basically. Assuming you've already merged your vertices by distance, the only thing you can do is try to join faces in the model to make your model not have any holes in it
@@michaeljburtThank you very much for your quick response, your videos are very high quality in terms of explanation btw started Blender like 3 days ago
clean up by merge doesn't work, there are no holes on my model, REMOVING THE HAIR DOESN'T WORK!!!! WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!? GIVE ME A SOLUTION TO FIX THIS STUPID ANNOYING ERROR!!!!!
Recalculate normals.
Often putting both metarig and mesh at scale 100 helps.
I think scaling to 100 only helps when bringing them into UE. It's been over a year since I have done dev work in UE though, so maybe that has changed
This fix my problem. Thank you sir.
the only thing that helped me was CleanUp merge by distance with a value 0.0005 instead of 0.0001 which is the default
