      Not all of us. I'm sure the long bed pro4x will have less than 900 pounds of payload. My brother's sentra nismo has more than that.
      Pro4x long bed with 7000 lbs towing and 1200 lbs payload is where it needs to be.

      @gs-pd5ox 3 месяца назад

      @@HiPlains1 nissan engineers just need to do better. The ranger raptor and colorado zr2 with their specifically tuned off road suspensions have more than 1100 lbs each. Say what you will about the tech under the hood, but at the end of the day they are trucks that can do truck stuff. You slap a 6500 lb trailer to a frontier and there goes 700 lbs of payload. If you weigh over 200 lbs you are illegally over gvcw.

    • @HiPlains1
      @HiPlains1 3 месяца назад

      @@gs-pd5ox The reality is this truck hasn't changed much since 2005. Its the same F-alpha frame with mostly the same underpinnings. They did not spend as much as GM/FORD/TOY on their new gens. And probably why the price points are less then the competition. Toyota being the most expensive at this point. I was thinking of buying a travel trailer for my 19 frontier but in the end, I think its better to use a half ton for that. I still like the truck (P4X). If the economy crashes may pick up a used class C on the dip. On many occasions I've put about 900 lbs of gravel in the bed and during the winter will load about 22 bags of pellets. That's about all it can handle. But most people don't really work their mid sizes much. Mostly mall crawling etc..

  • @HiPlains1
    @HiPlains1 3 месяца назад +10

    They literally fixed everything people were complaining about. Including offering the P4X with LWB. Adding that option literally took away Toyota's single advantage over the frontier. That is, the Tacoma has nothing over this refresh. Zero. Although I'd like to see the king cab offered in P4X trim as well (in US not just CA). Maybe they will. The Canton plant in Mississippi makes a better product. The VQ engine is legendary bullet proof. The box frame is built like a tank. You never hear of transmission issues, differentials blowing up, turbos failing etc... This is at another level over the crap built in the south by Toyota. And the fact Toyota moved production to Mexico is reason alone to not buy. But nevertheless, this is the better truck. You better believe it.

    The screen is nicer, looks a little better, but what about a comfortable back seat as well as a grab bar on the driver side. Most of the new options are already found on a 2023 Tacoma, but I am glad the Frontier is ever improving. The beefy aluminum utility track is still the best in the industry in my opinion. Owned a beautiful, 2013 Pro4X that basically started to die on me at 96K, but it was a great truck for almost 9 years. Would have bought another Nissan, but the dealership was poorly managed and the service department was awful, creating and making more problems than fixing the truck costing me thousands. I now have a 2023 Tacoma Off Road; let's see how long that will last with proper maintenance. The Toyota dealership in our town is great so far.

    Nissan think of customers and nissan knows people hate the stupid start/stop system. Thats why they made it simple to disconnect it. Its a simple push/pull clip on the battery terminal. Just pull it out, disconnect it and you’re good to go. And it doesn’t effect anything. Love it.
    …also, I much prefer the look of the pro4x. Unlike the Tacoma’s outdated “ninja” look.
    I also have no need for the telescoping adjustment. For me its fine the way it is. The camera/screen resolution is fine. I don’t intend to take photos of nature…I have my nikon camera for that.

    3:45 that isn’t what they are saying. They are saying the long bed will need to be configured as 4x4, not that it will be customer special order. Dealers will able to configure and stock 4X4 long bed SV, Pro-4x, etc. Only the base trim will allow long bed as 2wd (at least that is how I see it)

    • @Jason-Samko
