Great looking truck! Can’t wait to drive one. Big fan of this engine. IMO The body lines looks a lot like the 3rd gen Tacoma. Shocks look like the same ones on trd off roads as well. I want an ON road trim! Something with a street tire and maybe painted flares etc. Bravo for keeping analog gauges. I don’t see 1 improvement to having digital gauges.
The 2 main things i didn't like about my p4x is the lack of tilt telescope wheel. I have old neck injuries, so i try keeping my shoulders rolled back more. Not slightly forward. And no 6ft bed option. I almost waited for the 25s because i heard some changes were coming. Slightly wish i waited. I could trade. I dont want to. Im very happy with mine. I am glad they changed these 2 things, though. All the small changes they made for the 25 are very nicely done. Good looking truck.
The 6 foot bed option on the Pro4x is what I was waiting for, going move down from a Titan. I’m still not a fan of having the shifter in the middle console. I would rather it was on the steering column or dial/button on dash. Having the shifter in the console is wasted space in the midsize segment.
Agree on the wasted space on the counsel but love thst it's still not one of these cheesy digital "e shifters" on the center counsel. Don't like those.
An X-terra based off the Frontier would be a big seller in my opinion. With Toyota going with the turbo four in the forerunner, Nissan would be the alternative.
I’m a long time Tacoma lover. It was the best truck for years, but, I don’t think that now. If Nissan puts a 6 speed manual transmission in the Frontier it will be the best pickup now
This is very exciting! I'm just waiting now to see what the pricing is going to be like... I confess I'm once bitten, twice shy with the shenanigans that Toyota pulled with the Tacoma.
My assumption is they will keep the price low to keep the high sales ball rolling. The whole industry saw what happened to toyota with thier ridiculous price hike
The screen is nicer, looks a little better, but what about a comfortable back seat as well as a grab bar on the driver side. Most of the new options are already found on a 2023 Tacoma, but I am glad the Frontier is ever improving. The beefy aluminum utility track is still the best in the industry in my opinion. Owned a beautiful, 2013 Pro4X that basically started to die on me at 96K, but it was a great truck for almost 9 years. Would have bought another Nissan, but the dealership was poorly managed and the service department was awful, creating and making more problems than fixing the truck costing me thousands. I now have a 2023 Tacoma Off Road; let's see how long that will last with proper maintenance. The Toyota dealership in our town is great so far.
That's the big problem with nissan is how few dealerships and if one by you is not good that makes it even harder and often the next nearest one is an hour or more away.
@@Jason-Samko Yeah I know, and I realize I'm being childish. My only complaint about my truck was the small bed. At least I have the truck though! So it looks like Nissan may win the mid-size truck wars.
I am so glad I waited I was about to buy a 2023 or 24 pro 4x premium. This 25 I think is for me. I wasted 4’years waiting on the Tacoma redesign wow I wasted 4 years for the truck for it to be a 4 cylinder turbo hell no! For my first truck. Can you do a side by side of the 24 vs 25 ?
will do the comparison when I see a 2025 on a dealership. you will love the frontier. The 24 is amazing too and the deals on them right now is outstanding.
2025 Frontier should sell like hotcakes. Let’s just hope recession talk doesn’t slow sales Cigarette lighter plug is activated on acc or ignition. USB plug is always on in my Titan.
Nissan doing well. Also, they should have put that Titan Warrior concept on the market too, even if detuned a little bit to keep costs in the realm of reality. That thing would be FLYING off the lots right now.
Does the Intelligent Cruise Control work under 20 miles per hour, in stop-and-go traffic? It is sometimes called "Traffic-Jam Assist" or " Low-Speed Follow".
I keep hoping they will bring back the manual. I had a 2004 that I loved, but lost in the 2016 flood, great truck. Not a fan of these multispeed auto transmissions, very expensive to replace. Clutches are cheaper.
Wow it looks a lot better + cleaner than the Tacoma. Toyota will sell a ton of these! Oops sorry I mean Nissan will sell a ton of these. Better looking front facia and interior, Made in USA, V6 gas motor, Dana rear end, yeah!
No, you were right !! Toyota will sell alot of these! Meaning , toyota put out new tacoma, which people don't want, so they go to nissan to buy frontier! 😅
Now that the Titan is out of the picture for '25, Nissan is putting everything into the Frontier to attract buyers that may be considering a full size. Longer bed option, more towing capacity etc. If you do want a Titan, now's the time with the '24s
Nissan think of customers and nissan knows people hate the stupid start/stop system. Thats why they made it simple to disconnect it. Its a simple push/pull clip on the battery terminal. Just pull it out, disconnect it and you’re good to go. And it doesn’t effect anything. Love it. …also, I much prefer the look of the pro4x. Unlike the Tacoma’s outdated “ninja” look. I also have no need for the telescoping adjustment. For me its fine the way it is. The camera/screen resolution is fine. I don’t intend to take photos of nature…I have my nikon camera for that. There is no need for rear air vents either..the cabin heats up/cools down quickly. Bottom line…Love my ‘24 pro4x.
just made a video on a 2025 i saw in person. grat looking truck. I think the 24s are a much better deal saving about 7-8k over the 25 even with deals. atleast thats what im feeling it will be like. but if the refresh on teh 25 is worth the extra cost its a grat looking truck with nice upgrades.
3:45 that isn’t what they are saying. They are saying the long bed will need to be configured as 4x4, not that it will be customer special order. Dealers will able to configure and stock 4X4 long bed SV, Pro-4x, etc. Only the base trim will allow long bed as 2wd (at least that is how I see it)
@AutoEnthusiastJC all I can go by is the facts I have to go on. According to this it says longbed will have to be custom ordered. I'm sure that will change and there will be longbeds on lots eventually. But if that's important to you might be worth ordering or calling dealers to get details on allocations once order banks open
All I wanted was a long bed Pro4X when it launched, but Nissan said no, so I bought a Ridgeline because it had the most payload in the midsize class and payload is the biggest weakness of the Pro4X NOW they decide to come out with a long bed option...so annoying.
@@paulstanley3265 I suspect not because increasing payload would require a frame and suspension upgrade, and Nissan definitely didn't invest in a meaningful redesign just 3 years into this body style. Even when this 3rd gen Frontier launched, Nissan carried over the same frame from the 2nd gen. The long bed Pro4x payload probably tops out at around 1000 pounds, which is pathetic.
I don't remember If the frontier has rear vents or not. I know the ranger doesn't and the taco doesn't. Believe the colorado does. I make a point to check thst in all my videos just can't remeber. But if you want any of my 5 frontier reviews it will show if they are there. I know it's very important doen here in ga
Yeah. Rear locker in SV would be perfect. Wish these other manufacturers would add locker option like Ford does for like $600. Same with Tacoma. Only want the locker on the off road. Don’t need all the electronic gizmos.
Too late. I grabbed a 24 Tundra TRD Sport premium, huge discount, & love it! I came very close to getting a Frontier lwb, cramped as it was, but the deal was weak and caused me to look for a Taco. The Tundra stole my heart, even though I said I wouldn't get one. Frontier was certainly less $, but also less truck.

Amazing !! It was pretty good before, now is great !! ❤❤ will sell more units
Agree
I’m a long time Tacoma lover. It was the best truck for years, but, I don’t think that now. If Nissan puts a 6 speed manual transmission in the Frontier it will be the best pickup now
Thank manual would be amazing
Manufacturers are getting futuristic faster than we can adjust so some simplicity goes a long way now a days
Hopefully they upgraded the cameras. That was one thing that was sorely lacking with the previous iteration.
Yup! this has EVERYTHING I wanted in a new truck. Too bad I already bought a 2023 Pro-4X. Now I just feel sad.
The 23 is still amazing
@@Jason-Samko Yeah I know, and I realize I'm being childish. My only complaint about my truck was the small bed. At least I have the truck though! So it looks like Nissan may win the mid-size truck wars.
Not a fan of the tailgate black applique' but a great refresh.
Great looking truck! Wish they would have option to get manual transmission in all trim levels and a locking rearend on the Pro-X model
Bith would be great to have
I am so glad I waited I was about to buy a 2023 or 24 pro 4x premium.
Perfect 🤩 refresh and new color add on!
Agree
Looks nice!
Agree 100
Nissan could bring the Xterra back using most of this styling and if priced right would easily compete with the upcoming 6th gen 4Runner
Agree and would be a smart move. Many people wanted the 4 runner for reliability. That's gone with the 2025.
waiting 2 years to buy it used!! :)
thats an option too
2025 Frontier should sell like hotcakes. Let’s just hope recession talk doesn’t slow sales
Cigarette lighter plug is activated on acc or ignition. USB plug is always on in my Titan.
Usb and 12volt in most vehicles shut off after a few mins. My jeep it goes for 60 mins. If it's always on in the titan that's awesome
Nissan doing well. Also, they should have put that Titan Warrior concept on the market too, even if detuned a little bit to keep costs in the realm of reality. That thing would be FLYING off the lots right now.
@jonesjones7057 agree. And they could definitely make it affordable gm did with the colorado zr2
Does the Intelligent Cruise Control work under 20 miles per hour, in stop-and-go traffic? It is sometimes called "Traffic-Jam Assist" or " Low-Speed Follow".
@tonyl4010 I don't know. Hopefully some that ownes one will chime in
Nice truck. Now the people that complain & ask for more. It’s NOT free, that comes with a higher price tag.
I keep hoping they will bring back the manual. I had a 2004 that I loved, but lost in the 2016 flood, great truck. Not a fan of these multispeed auto transmissions, very expensive to replace. Clutches are cheaper.
I think Nissan is doing everything right on the frontier except 1 thing. Give it 1 more inch of lift, especially on the pro 4 X
Agree.
Yep I think nissan nailed it!
Good review
@@robertf3340 thanks
The color favors solar octane from Tacoma , just like they did with the cement and army green from Toyota , colors look good though !!
Those are Nissan Colors , all brands have a particular color and name
@@MatosJr1004 never said they wasn’t Nissan colors , said in comment the colors (favors) solar, cement and army green
Now that the Titan is out of the picture for '25, Nissan is putting everything into the Frontier to attract buyers that may be considering a full size. Longer bed option, more towing capacity etc. If you do want a Titan, now's the time with the '24s
@@wikolib6821 great points
They should give it a two inch lift like my Colorado Trail Boss, it would make this Nissan look so much better
@@jimmycline4778 agree
@@nn431xru1 yep auto start stop is so stupid. Love thst they put the button right next to the start button
I really wish I could put that new screen on my 2023 Nissan frontier Pro X
Make a Nissan Frontier that can take on the TRD PRO, Raptor and ZR2 and I’m all in.
@@kbolosan4024 I would like that too
Not gonna lie man, this truck and with Nissan dealers already putting them well below MSRP this looks like what I’m going to pick up
just made a video on a 2025 i saw in person. grat looking truck.
My next truck in a year
@@submissions72 great choice
Would have liked to see pro4x with king cab and 6" bed
It'd the best regualr sizes truck on the market.
@@tigerskone2945 sure is a good one
All I wanted was a long bed Pro4X when it launched, but Nissan said no, so I bought a Ridgeline because it had the most payload in the midsize class and payload is the biggest weakness of the Pro4X NOW they decide to come out with a long bed option...so annoying.
Yep been there before myself. Want certain features they don't offer and still buy then next year out come those features!
Will the long bed have higher payload
@@paulstanley3265 I suspect not because increasing payload would require a frame and suspension upgrade, and Nissan definitely didn't invest in a meaningful redesign just 3 years into this body style. Even when this 3rd gen Frontier launched, Nissan carried over the same frame from the 2nd gen. The long bed Pro4x payload probably tops out at around 1000 pounds, which is pathetic.
I knew it was a bridge to far hoping for a manual transmission. Otherwise probably the best midsize on the market
Manual would be great
Crazy that a 6' bed is considered a long bed nowadays.
In a mid size it is. Could not imagine a 8 foot bed on a midsize...lol
I'm thinking of getting one soon after I pay all my bills 😂
@@rv3789 😂 paying bills is good!
I’m might swap my 2023 pro4x for the long bed pro4x
Sad the pricing is ridiculous. Priced out a pro4x lwb in Canada and its over $58000 before tax! That is wild for a mid sized
@@ericrivest4423 that does hurt
Speaking of criticisms from last year, may have been mentioned but I did not hear - - any rear air outlets? Huge especially in the sunbelt.
Was hoping they would bring the access cab Pro4X here. Nice that they finally added a telescoping wheel.
Yep putting a rear locker in all sv trims and putting a front locker in the p4x would be a great move
Yeah. Rear locker in SV would be perfect. Wish these other manufacturers would add locker option like Ford does for like $600. Same with Tacoma. Only want the locker on the off road. Don’t need all the electronic gizmos.
@@gregjoubert5118 Agreee 100
towing depends on how much stuff u add to it more stuff less u can tow.
what did u say about n off button by push start???? is rear slider powered? r they keeping tac green?
I will get the frontier over the taco , it has a real V6 engine on it , and not recall with this engine and transmission problem on the Toyota ,
@@MatosJr1004 yes. The Frontier has a very safe engine you can rely on.
@sharkskin3448 congratulations on your amazing new tundra! Much more room than a taco!
@@Jason-Samko thank you! I'd toss you the keys for a day, but a few states away!
@sharkskin3448 I've drove them! Ride like a dream more than a truck
If they make the legroom bigger, I’m in for a new Frontier.
If only GM would listen to some customers also and give you an option of a 6ft bed in the Colorado and Canyon.
Probably won't happen as they don't actually make one. Where as nissan already does. It's just a trim upgrade
