Thank you. I'm new to T2 after struggling for years with pre-diabetes, and this it close to home. I'm currently taking Ozempic as well as metformin and other meds. So far, I've lost weight, and my A1c is high, but at 8.5, much better than before at 12.5 due to stress and life issues. Only by the grace of God, family,friends, and good health care for being here. This makes me angry because we need the medication and support and not being shame.
Absolutely! Great video! I couldn’t get Ozempic because of the shortage. Also, you can get diabetes for other reasons not just diet or weight. I really enjoy watching your videos you’re very inspiring :-) I just got diagnosed with type 2 6 months ago. Every little bit of encouragement helps :-) thanks
My BIGGEST pet peeves. I want to use my profession (I'm a therapist) to help other diabetics to implement boundaries to protect their mental health from people offering their unsolicited opinion. I hate hate when people say I'm using insulin (type 2) as an "easy way out". No I'm using it because I need it and my body produces little of it now. Smh. Thank you for your channel and encouragement. 💙
I’m on Wegovy and I couldn’t agree more. People can be hateful and like to see others stuffer. I’m proud of my work and no one can ever make me feel shamed. I’m 5”7 and was 225lbs. I’m not 152 and no longer considered obese or overweight. This medicine put me in remission from my autoimmune disease and changed my life for the better. Screw what people think! I wear a medium now 😂 I never thought that was possible after being on 3XL I’m happy
You tell them Diabestie! I have my diabetes under control and I was taking Trulicity once a week... read that as WAS. There is a major shortage of Trulicity in the United States and I have been without it for 4 weeks. So my doctor has prescribed Ozempic. There is a shortage, however I use Express Scripts (Tri-Care Retired Air Force) and they had it in stock. The prescription was for 3 months, however Express Scripts was only able to send me 2 months. So now I have to start all over... instead of the 1.5 of Trulicity I am starting at 0.5 of Ozempic. New meds new side effects. Dietary Doctors are prescribing meds that WE need for people with weight issues. Get off our lazy butts and exercise! As a diabetic I exercise and watch my intake of food, snacks and treats. Easy way out? Not for those of us suffering the effects of Diabetes. Love your videos! Keep them up!
This happened to me as well. Trulicity was on shortage. I had to find a pharmacy that had it in stock and have my prescription transferred there. The experience stressed me out. Now my Dr wants to move me to Ozempic. She says it is a better medication. Not looking forward to “new meds, new side effects. Who would choose this?😮
@@marieshane125 if you can stay with Trulicity... I would! Sure I had minor side effects when I started, but nothing like I do with Ozempic. Within 30 minutes I have dizziness and a major headache.
