I remember one time I made the comment on another channel that our diet cholesterol isn't our blood work numbers. Of course a couple of people insisted I was wrong. But I've been eating three eggs a day for the past two years and I've have blood work done twice a year. I always have good numbers. One person insisted my cholesterol would probably drop more. I replied back to her that I can touch the lowest number recommended already at times. She had no answer.
And bad hydrogenated Frankenstein vegetable oils that the body tries to use to repair cell damage. The plastic is inorganic and results in patch failures, loss of insulin receptors and weak arteries because it doesn't stretch like organic living tissue real fats feed.
I eat 4 eggs a day for lunch almost every single day since 2021. Very satisfying lunch and not hungry till dinner. Lost 44 pounds in 9 1/2 months. Kept 40 off through the years.
Thank you Dr. Sten Ekberg, You are the best health teacher on the internet. Two years ago I asked you what you recommend to eat with diabetes2. You have exceeded my expectations. And you have made my life better and healthier. I no longer have diabetes2 and I feel very good. I am a man of about 75 years and have Smoked for 60 years and consumed far too many carbohydrates, thank you and I will continue to follow you!

well done! Organic beef I would assume. In India we have been consuming GHEE for thousands of years and now research says it's one of the best fats you can have, in fact a video from Dr. Ken Berry also says that GHEE is the only dairy-derived product an adult must consume. No dairy after you are off mother's milk.
I eat four boiled eggs per day and fortunately I’m living in the central highlands of Vietnam where the chickens freely walk around the villages where they’re raised. The eggs are brown, rich in nutrition and taste amazing, but only cost about $1 for 10 fresh eggs. 😊
I’m happy for you, my friend. I I wish I could buy that many eggs for a buck. I’m about four bucks a dozen now, but I keep eating them enjoy that beautiful country
Wow here in Australia eggs are on average AU$8 per dozen. I buy 2 x cartons of 18 eggs per week = 36 eggs. So that’s AU$0.66 per egg! I’ve gotta move somewhere I can get some chooks of my own! 😂
I usually buy my pasteurized eggs from my friend's local farm since he feeds his hens with frozen insects, grass, and parsley. Usually about $2.50 for a dozen
My mother ate 2 eggs for breakfast every single day and lived to be 94. I eat 4 eggs for breakfast every day and my triglycerides are at 32. I never fell for that nonsense about eggs. Thank you for all this information, I always learn from you, even though I know about eggs more than anyone in my circle.
Me too. Just had a steak, couple of eggs.. Perfect lunch after doing some squats... 4 eggs is my minimum for a day, but trying a period with higher protein and a bit less fat. Feels great so far. Actually have more energy with less fat...
I've been on the Keto diet and will stay on it forever! It's just the healthiest way to eat long term. Outstanding channel. Always the best detailed health/food advice.
Due to ulcerative colitis, I've been on a carnivore/eggs/light dairy diet for about 4 years. At 39, I'm in better shape than I have been since I was in my early 20's. I went from 9-12 meds - average 20 pills a day - to 0 on this diet. ZERO. Part of this diet has been 3-4 eggs for breakfast each day (mix of duck and chicken) with ground beef.
I'm happy that you're in better shape than you've been in since your early 20's! UC is a beast! Our diets can either be medicine or poison and it's up to us to find out individually which kind of diet works for us.
@@LilyBean82 It's a big challenge to find out which foods agree with us or not. Inflammation, in my case, being the thing to look out for. It can take 24 hours to show changes or it can take a week. Carnivore lets me set a neutral baseline then introduce foods one or two at a time to see how I react to them.
Haven’t met anyone who has eaten duck eggs. They’re quite expensive and I didn’t want to buy something I may not like. Are they anything like chicken eggs?
@@veronicaheaney3464 Very similar, but larger and more rich (both in taste and nutrition). You're correct in that they're really expensive if purchased in a store though. I get mine from a lady at a local farm here in the Midwest for around $4/dozen, but when I lived in CA it was nearly $7 for 6. So really it just depends on your situation. The taste and nutrition isn't really worth it if you're having to pay double the cost (or more).
I’ve been eating more eggs lately because I’m restricting my calories to lose fat and I knew eggs had quite a bit of protein while not being that high in calories, so this video is very timely and good news to me. Thanks.
On the topic of eggs. My wrists were extremely burned when a rad cap blew off. My engineer put egg whites directly on the burn after first aid was applied. The egg white took the searing pain away as long as the egg white was on the burn and there was absolutely no scaring. Hope this helps someone.
Egg whites can be used for many different purposes. Musical instruments where and are often primed just with egg yolks. Closes the wood grains and is a perfect base for varnishes.
I have a friend that raises chickens, so I am able to get fresh eggs all the time. I eat about three a day. I am 68, in great health and very grateful for my friend! Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend. 💛💛
I did this experiment for 6 months straight and with also adding either 6 strips of bacon or 2 sausage patties in additionto the two eggs. I also ate a high fat, low carb keto diet the rest of my diet. Regarding my lipid panel, before starting this, my LDL was 105 mg/dL. After 6 months, my LDL dropped to 94 mg/dL. Before starting this, my HDL was 46 mg/dL. After 6 months, my HDL increased to 79 mg/dL. My triglycerides before this were 67 mg/dL and after eating this way was 63 mg/dL.
I have been eating 4 eggs a day, beef, salmon, chicken, brocoli, Brussel sprouts, aragula, millet, olive oil, aromatic vinegar, apple cider, vinegar, lemon. My eye sight got better, I don't forget as many things, I went back to the gym & the progress is good. I don't feel that acute recovery pain after workouts. Not bad at 64
Many years ago my Doctor said the same to me ´´Eat only the egg white´´ ...... I told him I would, but never did...!!! An egg is an egg, not only the white or the yolk...!!! Great video.
I take absolutely zero advice on nutrition from my doctors. They ALL still advocate a low fat high fibre diet. They also vehemently advise us to use vegetable oils to help avoid heart attack and stroke!!
me too... never ask a doctor about nutrition. They are trained to push pills. So, buyer beware. Also, they must follow "standard of care" to avoid lawsuits. I do not think standard of care has ever been based on anything but pills for management of symptoms for as long as possible. The longer we stay sick, yet alive, the better for pill companies.
What happens if you eat 6 to 12 eggs with the yolks daily for 6 years? You reverse type 2 diabetes and hypertension. You lose 100 lbs. You lower your A1C to 5.2 from around 7.5. You reverse the need for eyeglass prescriptions on your Driver License. How do I know? I have been having between 6 to 12 eggs a day since 2018. I did all those things. Now 61 years old.
I don't drink expensive coffee drinks. I make a regular cup at home. I also refuse to buy a dozen eggs for $8. I will buy organic eggs for roughly $4 a dozen no problem. But I opt to buy from a neighbor who just has chickens in her backyard. Yes, she may feed them grain however, she also feeds them fruits and vegetables and they Peck bugs around the yard all summer long. So I opt for the non-organic free-range backyard chicken eggs any day over buying, even organic eggs when possible.
I sold and delivered BROWN eggs 🥚🥚🥚 for 40¢ per dozen in 1972 as a kid. Even back then I got complaints about my eggs being spoiled. You cannot please everybody. I bet I'd have takers today who would not complain because of THAT price. They'd simply discard the rotten eggs and eat the rest. A bag of Ralston Purina Layena in those days went for $8 per 40 lb bag.
I’ve been eating a free range 2 egg omelet with broccoli and cream cheese for the last 3 months. My liver enzymes are way down and I have lost over 30 pounds since Nov. Today I got a double yolk egg while listening to this video. Bonus!

Eggs are amazing. Did you know that the yolk is designed to have the complete range of nutrients to grow a baby chick. The white, however, contains almost no nutrients but, instead, contains fungicides and antibacterial protein agents, its sole job is to protect the egg yolk and baby chick! It's one of the reasons (other than egg products being used in vaccines) some people react to egg whites but rarely the yolks.
My great-grandmother was diagnosed with cancer and for the rest of her life (12 years) went on a diet of eggs and red wine. She was sprightly to the end and quite flirtatious.
For decades, six (6) whole eggs are one of my go-to protein right after resistance training...only 3 to 4 eggs a day during non-training/rest days. I'm now 78 years old and I still have my six pack. Moreover, I have no health issues at all and no medications.
I eat more than 6 eggs a day depending on how hard I train. My patients are surprised when I tell them that it's sugar that is causing their health problems, including their fatty liver. It's not fat intake that causes fatty liver, it's sugar intake (particularly fructose). The egg guidelines have changed but people are still scared. The sugar industry did a good job !
@@jakescakes Indeed fruts have some fructose but also fiber which mitigates the effect by delaying absorption. And fruits contain less fructose that high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) which is used to sweeten soft drinks and countless other processed foods. People who eat fruits may get 15 grams of fructose per day but people who eat processed food can eat 75 g and often more than 100 g.
One of my favorite things to eat are grass fed grass finished hamburger patties with goat cheese and over easy pasture raised egg on it, topped with home fermented sauerkraut made from red cabbage, avocado and a bit of home fermented Thai pepper hot sauce. I usually eat three for a meal.
Question: are the nutrients similar when we do soft-boiled eggs, hard-boiled eggs, or are the values for raw? I want to eat eggs but ensure that cooking does not alter the nutrients? Thanks!
I eat approximately 8 eggs per day, my husband and oldest son eat up to 20 eggs per day (sometimes more!) for the last 12 months and both have PERFECT bloods!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
@@differenttakethanmost yes! And bloods are perfect. There is a study in men in China where they were given up to 36 eggs per day and they were perfectly healthy, no adverse affects. Our reasons are mainly ease of cooking, independence and budget (my son can come in after school and boil up 8 -10 eggs for his dinner). We all eat between 4-8 eggs for breakfast (no carbs!!) I have the most perfect bloods as I do more strict keto and the rest of the family do strict keto in the morning but then eat carbs if they want in the evening so my triglyceride to HDL ration is 0.423 (I’m in Ireland so I’m not sure how that translates in US) which is almost perfect. My A1C is excellent. All my 11 pages of blood work. I feel amazing. Son lost 53lbs and had no spots anymore, has his confidence and motivation back (he’s 17), younger son (15) eats 6 eggs per day, oldest daughter (16) said eating keto (eggs for breakfast x 5) has changed her life (she’s no longer cranky I can confirm!!) and younger daughter (11) who is the most “keto-resistant!” Eats 4 runny boiled eggs and begs me for them sometimes if she has eaten too many carbs and says she is happier! If she eats them in the evening she can have wholemeal toast. With real butter, but breakfast is strictly no carbs (unless it’s the weekend) as it maintains their energy and mood until mid-day (me too!) lovely even blood sugar!
@@differenttakethanmost yes 20 eggs! My husband ate 5 boiled eggs for breakfast this morning and took 6 fried eggs in a lunchbox with rocket leaves (arugala) butter and chopped red onion and chopped ginger for his lunch. My oldest son had 8 boiled eggs for breakfast this morning, normally he eats them without carbs but because it’s the weekend he also had a whole wheat skim bagel and real butter and coffee with cream (he lost 53lbs on keto last year), now he is perfect weight for 5’ 11”. Youngest son (15) ate 5 fried eggs with bacon for breakfast, this is his normal breakfast but today he also had a toasted bagel because it’s the weekend. Oldest daughter (16) had same but no bagel. Youngest daughter (11) had 3 runny boiled eggs and toast today. I had 3 boiled eggs and a bagel but I normally have a carb free metabolic fried egg meal with 6 eggs, and cruciferous vegetables, garlic, ginger, turmeric, cheese as I usually don’t eat until 1pm during the week. Today we had meatballs for lunch, two of the kids want rice, the rest of us no rice but alot of rocket (arugala) leaves. We’re not really “prescriptive” as in if someone has carbs there isn’t an alarm that goes off, keto is a general lifestyle we follow but not in a prescriptive way, otherwise there would be no fun! 🤩 next the evening meal will often be 5-8 boiled eggs for the boys and sometimes “snack” later on 4 more boiled eggs. It has to do with economics as well as independence. And it avoids the cereal boxes (which we have too sometimes!) but yes 20 eggs. Bloods on 4 of us have been taken, they are all perfect (mine being the MOST perfect as I am by far the strictest, and I do regular intermittent and prolonged fasting) my triglyceride to HDL ratio is fantastic. A1c perfect, all 11 pages of my blood work perfect!! ❤️❤️❤️
I wish I could earn more money. I eat 1-2 eggs most days and occasionally I treat myself to 4 or 5 eggs 😢. Cost of living has hit me hard but I never waste money on ultra processed food, regardless how “cheap “ it is. Eggs is the best - I love eggs.

Funnily enough, I lost a good 40 pounds eating eggs and high-fat meat. Went from around 205 to about 165 on the diet. Eggs and meat will allow your body to regulate itself down (or up) to its "desired" normal weight. Carbs/sugar (glucose) will prevent this from happening.

Not every egg yolk is bright orange if pasture raised. In Poland we have breed named green legged partridge, they gave the best eggs you can imagine l, but their yolk is pale yellow and it has nothing to do with quality.
I have been eating 10-15 hard-boiled eggs (with yolks) during dinner every day for the past 4 years. Great source for high quality nutrients, and satiety.

I went from 9-12 meds - average 20 pills a day - to 0 on this diet. ZERO. Part of this diet has been 3-4 eggs for breakfast each day (mix of duck and chicken) with ground beef.

You're fortunate to have a neighbor with chickens. Most of us do not and we have to pay the price for organic eggs.
I sold and delivered BROWN eggs 🥚🥚🥚 for 40¢ per dozen in 1972 as a kid. Even back then I got complaints about my eggs being spoiled. You cannot please everybody.

I eat more than 6 eggs a day depending on how hard I train. My patients are surprised when I tell them that it's sugar that is causing their health problems, including their fatty liver. fructose? like in fruit, lol.

I eat approximately 8 eggs per day, my husband and oldest son eat up to 20 eggs per day (sometimes more!) for the last 12 months and both have PERFECT bloods!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
20 eggs, a day? Really???
