I just purchased a 2022 5.7 Hemi Big Horn about 3 weeks ago. I noticed in the two test drives that both 5.7 Hemi's felt sluggish and no getup and go. Since the test drive is short you don't get a good chance to analyze everything that's going on as you would if you had the truck for a few days. About a week ago I ran the tank down to the warning light that sys you have 50 miles left of range. I drove it a bit more to drain as much of the original fuel as I could. I put 10 gallons of 91 octane (the manual says to use 89), but for a 10 cent difference, I can live with the extra octane. It didn't take long to feel the difference. The Eco mode light came on way earlier than prior drives. The truck was so smooth and accelerated effortlessly. I was like a different truck. I'm guessing that at the dealership they just use 87 octane. That's probably why the other truck I tested ran so poorly as well. Oh bye the way, I have 3.21 rearend as well. Truck will light up the tires if I punch it at a light now.
If I needed a half ton truck, and could afford to spend $70k, I'd be hard pressed to buy anything other than this Longhorn. The interior is just so good. Plus the powertrain is simple, tried and true. In the $55-60k price range, I'd probably explore different options, but Ram wins the "luxury truck" battle in my books...
That is a huge rear seat. Love this truck. Maybe one day. Trucks have gotten insanely expensive. $66k at one time was a Porsche. Now it’s a dodge truck.
They are.....just bought pretty loaded up laramie 4x4....just shy of 62k msrp.....got it for 54k but still it's alot of money.. Nice trucks but think I will opt for something less expensive next time
Thanks for the video Ben, I've watched most all of your Ram 1500 reviews. With my research, and the help of your videos I ordered my first ever Ram truck. I'm now a recovering Fordaholic. The Ram 1500 really suprised me, and my wife. The drive, comfort, and build quality has surpassed Ford IMHO. I went with the 3:21 gears as I don't tow, and honestly the traffic in my area these days there's no reason to worry much about faster acceleration. Keep up the good work sir.
I find the longhorn model is the best of all trims not as expensive as the limited I like the grill the interior doesn't have pin stripes 😂 and I love the blue with tan interior def with a 392 rear end
You can get heads up display, power running boards, wireless charging, panoramic sunroof, there’s lots this truck didn’t have that most of the ones at this trim will

I have the Longhorn. Love it. But I would prefer the Limited grill more myself.
The LongHorn is the best trim you can get for the RAM. Also, can you review a 2015 RAM 1500 LongHorn Diesel?

I have 2021 Ram 1500 Limited Longhorn. Great truck no Problems. And get thumbs up all the time with it.

Ram bundles that in a $6500 option package for 2022 along with a bunch of other features. Look up the "longhorn level 1 equipment group"

This is a very barebones Longhorn. The Longhorn can be equipped with a bunch of stuff this example didn't have, including adaptive cruise control.

Real wood with laser etching. All materials in the luxury Ram trucks are authentic.
I've got a '22 Longhorn. The wood certainly feels real. It makes the new King Ranch look cheap inside. The texture of it gives a real authentic feel.
