ASE 2022 | Studio Visit with Kelsey Gavin

Kelsey Gavin ‘22 speaks about their work and artistic process. A self-proclaimed maximalist, Kelsey’s newest series "there is sometimes a buggy" was born from their interest in “the cowboy” from David Lynch’s film “Mulholland Drive.” An obsessive maker, Kelsey explored who this character was through a variety of media, even attempting to become them herself.
This series was created in conjunction with the Berman's "Annual Student Exhibition 2022." The ASE showcases the work made by art students and majors in the disciplines of painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, installation, mixed media and photography.
