Videos made by the Berman Museum of Art at Ursinus College.
As a museum on the campus of a liberal arts college, The Philip and Muriel Berman Museum of Art fosters a greater understanding of the place of the visual arts in the learning process and in society at large.
BMA’s eclectic collection is an important resource for teaching and outreach to both college and community audiences. Ensuring the integrity, preservation, and interpretation of these artworks and artifacts for subsequent generations is an ongoing responsibility sustained in public trust.
The Berman supports the educational mission of Ursinus College across all disciplines, presenting innovative exhibitions and programs that delve into the broader world of ideas. For the campus audience and beyond, the museum aims to create an atmosphere conducive to curiosity and exploration: an accessible, welcoming space that nevertheless challenges viewers to think critically.

Next time I'm near Philly I'd love to meet with Mr. Pawlaczyk. We both share a delightful last name and I'd love to know where he got his anglicized pronunciation while my family kept the Polish pronunciation, and more curiously how everyone accepted the Polish pronunciation where I live.

Interesting, but am curious why a RUclips video on the subject of Sound Art has no Sound Art to be heard... or maybe the narration is the sound art example possibly?
This was so much fun!! Thanks for sharing :)

There is a beautiful and fascinating new book on museum exhibition design and the life and career of a famed museum exhibition designer now in his 90s. The title of the book is "The Object in its Place." The book is filled with historic and current photographs of the installations as well as a series of "lessons" for the reader that are called out in red. This book is a valuable tool for anyone interested in the process of museum exhibition design from the initial sketches to the final installation. Available at: www.fineartspress.com

Great work, Chuck. Loved this video.
Thank you for watching!
Wow!!
this is such an exciting exhibition...thanks for the doors
Where's the red? And the old gold?
Why the mirror image split screen? It is like gimmick layered upon gimmick. Doesn't anyone at Berman Museum of Arts have a sense of aesthetics to make a cogent presentation? It is like you have launched a video plague that is certainly zero utility to presentation of this sound art piece of music. What a catastrophe. Keyword: relevance. Yes I am talking about you 'Berman, and calling you out on this video spam. I want to see the art presentation, not somebody's Apple computer house of mirrors. You must not have any respect for carpenters.
Hi Snoo, thanks for your comment. The mirror image represents the actual performance, where we used both sides of our gallery. Unfortunately, we were only able to use video from one side of the gallery, so we are presenting it here as mirrored to reflect the two sections of carpenters that performed.
