Curious, how is this working? Like where the oscillation signal coming from to power the 3 PHase signal? Are the mosfets oscillating on their own, if so how are they oscillating at a different phase from each other? Thank you in advance
I had a look at the other comments to see if anyone else actually built this circuit... looks like not. I would also like a circuit explanation before I would build it. I have experimented with this kind of 3 mosfet instead of 6 circuits before. But use a microcontroller to trigger the phases consecutively. Perhaps there is a way to trigger the mosfets via a diode during the emf collapse phase. At a glance at this circuit it might do something like that. But who knows if it is worth any further attention if the channel owner does not have the decency to explain the working of this circuit. I do not know his agenda, but I have seen people do anything for views regardless of how much of another person's time he is wasting with a bogus circuit...
@@NeoFrontierTechnologies it works. this is a modification of a 3 stage flasher circuit, where timing isn't controlled by RC groups, but the voltage on the motor windings. You can also look at it as a modified ZVS driver, but instead of driving one LC circuit it drives 3 phases. The rotor mass and speed are the substitute for the RC/LC timing achieved in the originals.
@@rocksmith3733 It does work, but has trouble starting the engine. Furthermore,since it outputs a square wave instead of a modified sinus, it runs rather rough and delivers lesser torque. I used it to drive a modified car alternator but switched to a six mosfet design to power a small lathe where smoother running pays of in a better surface finish.
Phases of motor is connected to MOSFET drain as three Fets works as oscillator to complete the rotation. Since drain pin is internally connected with body of mosfet. But every drain of mosfet is isolated from heatsink with silicon pads and screw washer bushes.
It is not connected to heatsink, it is connected to drains of mosfets, Each mosfet is isolated from heatsink by using TO-220 silicone pads and plastic bushings.

Converting doesn't make sense, as brushless ones have another magnet patterns (typical 14 in the rotating part) There are tons of BLDCs in trashed computer drives and fans to start experiments.
Yellow wire is positive going to dc +ve and all 3 blue wires is gnd and going to Mosfet as mosfets supplies -ve to motor one by one to complete turns. Like when ist Mosfet supplies -ve to motor 2nd & 3rd Mosfet is off, and when 2nd, ist & 3rd is off, and when 3rd, ist and 2nd is off. And this process happens continuously in fast mosfet switching speed
@@CreativeTechos perhaps inside the motor, for example, the last 3 terminals of the 'Y' connection would be the correct neutral? and the other wires the phases??that go to the comtrtolador? i always thought these wires were positive and n negative
@@boasnovasonline8764 your kinda right but it's an AC signal 3 phase shifted by some degree but it's not sine wave probably pulsed DC or like a sawtooth wave but this in the video wouldn't work bigger motors with a significant load on the motor .....hope that helps

Thanks for your interest in the video, Actually in this video i used bldc motor from hard drive, with 4 wires. BLDC motor has usually 2 configurations DELTA with 3 phase wires, WYE with 3 phases but with common wire that is actually the point where all winding ends are connected together.

Very good. The problem with this type of circuit is that every time you want to start the motor, you have to be pushing the motor and this devalues the project a lot. Would you have a more efficient way? Thank you
Mabey if you can remplacing the resistor with a hall senssor ..and remplacing the variable resistor with other one that have open and close interne control ...here you will have a real speed controller ..it's will be confortable case for this project

Why phases of motor are connected to transistor heat dissipator?

WUV is connected to heat sink, why is the motor running?
It is isolated from heatsink using silicon TO-220 Pads and plastic washers.
