Switzerland Budget Travel Guide:
Transportation - You can get a Swiss Travel Pass that gives you unlimited travel by train, bus and boat, including premium panoramic trains, plus public transport. If you are 26 years old and below, you can avail of the Swiss Travel Pass Youth which is 15% off the normal price of a Swiss Travel Pass. You can also consider buying Supersaver tickets from the SBB App.
Accommodation - Your cheapest options are youth hostels and Airbnbs.
Food - Typically, a meal in a Swiss restaurant costs around 20-30 francs or more! Your cheapest option is to buy and cook your meals. It's also important to note that you don't have to pay for water. There are a lot of water fountains both in cities and villages. Just bring a water bottle with you and refill it.
Activities - Your things to do and places to visit in Switzerland most probably are mountain peaks and viewpoints. So, go for a hike! It's free and will help you save on transportation should you go to mountain peaks and viewpoints.
Miscellaneous - If you want to buy a cowbell, the cheapest you can find will cost you around 8 francs. (Edit: I think I found the cheapest cowbell for 5 francs in Zermatt!!!) For the Swiss Army Knife, the cheapest is 9 francs.
1 Swiss franc is approximately 1 US dollar 💸
📣ATTENTION📣
As of January 2020, Schilthorn is no longer free with the Swiss Travel Pass. From Mürren, the cable car ride to Schilthorn is 50% off the normal price.

Because of my Europe Trip series, I received more questions about Switzerland🇨🇭 so I finally decided to create this video to share some tips and recommendations for everyone's reference. 🤗 Read the description box for the updated info.
do you have a pdf file on step by step instructions on how to trave to Switserland
Thank you so much for the tips!! What about third party booking website like Staypia? Would it be cheaper to book hotels on websites like this? Switzerland is so expansive 😭
@@stephaniewilson3827 hello there! I never heard of that website. I think it’s new? I personally use Agoda. Compared to Booking[.]com and Hostelworld, it’s where I found the cheapest accommodation. 😊 but you have to know that sometimes, what is shown in these booking websites is not the same with your actual payment at the hotel/hostel because of taxes, etc.
@@ViajeniBree I’ve been using them since I found really great deals for Las Vegas but never used it for Europe. I’m going to check all the websites you said as well also bnb! Thank you so much!! Your video is so informative!
Hello. I found your vid sooo informative. I would like to ask if possible, to share your itinerary during your stay? Thank you and looking forward!
We also visited Switzerland during Spring. ❤️We did a video of our visit as well. We stayed in Lucerne and travelled by bus to Interlaken and Grindelwald to have the best view of the Swiss Alps. Its really very nice. Everything is so clean and laid back. Feels like we are in a movie scene. Every angle looks like a postcard. 😍😍😍
This is such a great video! We know how expensive Switzerland can be - but we don't want that to stop people from visiting. These are great tips!

Hi,
Loved your video.
Wondering if we can places the amazing places in Geneva in a day as we are travelling from Barcelona to Geneva travel on 10 Dec. Finding it very difficult to find an affordable accomodation in Geneva. So we will be staying in Speiz for the night. Then head to Geneva next day to see these places that some RUclipsrs have recommended. Day 2 planning to go to Montreux & Zermatt & Matterhorn. Day 3 planning to go to Bern, Interlaken, Jungfrau & then head to Zurich. From Zurich we are driving to Venice. I know it’s lot of cover in few days but that’s the time we have for now.
Please suggest. Thank you

Hi,
Thanks for your videos. Can you please help us to find an affordable accomodate in Geneva. We are flying from Barcelona to Geneva on 10 Dec. Planning to stay overnight in Geneva, then travel to Mont Blanc, Zermatt, Matterhorn via Montreux. After that head to Grindelwald, Jungfurg. Stay overnight at Speiz. Next day head to Bern & Zurich. 4th day head to Venice from Zurich.
Please suggest if this is possible? We are a family of 3 adults, 2 teenagers aged 18 & 13. December being very cold can we travel by road or is it too risky?

Hello po ate! Loving your content so far. Travelling has always been a dream of mine, although I still have a long way to go before I can accomplish that, as I'm still a college student. Can you pls create a video catering to an audience with zero knowledge about travelling including advices and tips? Or kahit a storyline about your beginner experiences as a traveller? Thanks! ♡
Hi Adrielle! Thank you for your suggestion. It means a lot. 🥰 I actually have a similar content in line. Nakaplano na siya. Sana mahintay mo. Good luck on your studies! I was 21 when I first travelled abroad (solo).
@@ViajeniBree Ofcourse ate, willing to wait naman. You probs have other responsibilities din hehe. Good luck and God bless! 💛
I used to live in Switzerland I was born there really nice country
Did u go to Aarau?
Hi there! That’s so nice to hear. 🙂 Do you still visit Switzerland? And no, haven’t been to Aarau yet.
plano ko pumunta ng aug for 5 days
nag rent ako ng car sa lyon (france) to geneva
sa tingin mo mas makkamura ako kung mag car ako
kasi 4 person kami kung bibili ako ng 5 days pass sobrang mahal
tulong naman sagot kita sa paris
Great informative video. Switzerland is expensive, but with your tips it can still be affordable. I would only have to correct you about Half-fare ticket. Everyone with Swiss address can buy it. They also have special Half-fare for tourists which costs 120 CHF and is valid for 1 month. ;)
Hi there! Thanks for the input. Yes, I actually heard about the special half-fare card for tourists but I just knew about it when I already uploaded this video though. Before then, I've always thought that only those who have a valid Swiss residence/address can buy one.
Viaje ni Bree No worries, it happens. 😉
Btw, I also love Jungfrau Region and recommend it to my friends who come to visit. 😀
I want to go to lauterbrunen..
