I subscribed to your channel, thank you very much for valuable info with many tips. Great job! I love Switzerland, I have been here 13 times, but I still want more :)) It is one of the best countries in the world!❤
I have now been visiting Switzerland for over 50 years. I stay in one place (nowadays Zurich) but go out travelling every day using a First Class Swiss Travel Pass. The combination of the Swiss Travel Pass and the, fantastic taktfahrplan timetable means that I do not need a fixed plan as to where I am going. I have only a rough idea when I set out each morning. During the day I will often change my mind as to where i am going. It is so relaxing to be able to do this!. You do not have this wonderful flexibility if you buy tickets using a Half Fare Travel Card.
Thank you.. I was there for 2 weeks in September 2022, and I agree it’s the most beautiful time to visit. The weather was incredible, the scenery was heavenly. We stayed in Spiez for 5 days, and I fell in love with that town. It was so beautiful!! ❤️ We visited many of the hotspots like Lauterbrunnen, Zermatt, Lucern, Appenzell, Gruyères, but what I love the most are the small villages in the mountains that are off the beaten track. I already have a long list of places I want to see next time I come. I’m hoping and praying I can come back.
We just came back from Switzerland after 2 weeks travelling by train only around Zurich, Lucerne, Interlaken and St Moritz in May. We had tours booked but cancelled them as we found we could do it much cheaper and also got to the mountains early before the tourist groups. You have to be patient as the clouds come and go. The best part being not locked into a tour group was we could monitor the weather and usually we picked the right day. Totally agree about overpacking and layers is the way to go. The host for this channel is spot on and great video. Trains run spot on time as the Swiss are famous for so don't be late !!! Expensive absolutely but you would know that before taking on such a trip :)
I went to Zermatt. It was the highlight of my trip! I saw the Matterhorn from there. I regret not taking the ( expensive) train up to the mountain to get a closer view of it. But the snow and the village of Zermatt was glorious!!

And then half day to vaduz and then making Thun bas base for 4 nights 5 days. During those days pls help us to choose between titlis / Zermatt. I am coming in April. I would like to rent a car and travel around and stay in an inexpensive place with 2kids and wife. Please give me suggestions. Thanks
Tip regarding the restaurants: if you want to save some money but still enjoy a warm meal during the lunchtime, consider going to COOP or Migros restaurant. Beware, many of them are closed during the weekends and they serve meal only around noon (i.e. until ca 2 pm).
I will be visiting Switzerland for 2 days only. 1st day, Travelling to St Moritz from Tirana, Then St Moritz to lauterbrunnen. What I must do on the 2nd day?
What is the correct way to go to Top of the Europe from Grindelwald? Do you take the funicular or the train? And does the cost of 100 CHF include round trip?
Hai thx 4d information, what do u think if we rent a car in winter rather than using public transportation, cause the price is very expensive even with STP, is it save driving in winter there?
Would it be a good idea to visit in January? I am thinking of staying in Zurich, maybe for about 5 days for my birthday and doing a few day trips. Any suggestions?
Very good idea! If you stay in Zurich you can also visit Graubünden region, as well as Interlaken region. But if you ask me I would stay in the Alps directly, as there will be snow and in Zurich most likely not. Your idea sounds good though! 👌😊
Switzerland is my favorite country in Europe.Have been there 3 times.I have a sister in law who lives in Schaffhausen.I still have many places I would like to see.
❤Hi! First of all Thanks!! 🎉 I am from Guatemala thinking to travel and visit there sadly only for a few days....as we have some others places booked to go. But I have 3 Q.? To be and visist And wich one is the place that have waterfalls .? Thanks!
Hey yes you can take this pass and have a good time through europe! Einsiedeln? Is a place a bit far from other hotspots! Its closer to lake zurich! The place with the waterfalls is lauterbrunnen
I wish to stay for 4 days. Which low cost place should I make my base for all 4 days, so that it will be easy and convenient to go for mountain excursions, panoramic train rides.

I’ll be there September 10. Do I rent a car or take train? Or maybe car a few days , then train? I want to see villages more than bigger cities. If I rent, is parking hard to find?
We will also be there that week and wondered same thing. Planned to get car at Zurich airport, but seems trains go everywhere, and some small places don’t allow cars at all. Do you have good hotel recommendations?
Hey there. Really loved your video. i am travelling to zurich on 30th of september and will be there for 5 days. Can you suggest some things not to miss during my trip. I have not booked any trip yet. Thanks in advance
You will have a great time exploring the mountains and going hiking. If you are in zurich you can go on day trips to the jungfrau region or go to graubünden (engadine region) to enjoy the fall starting to come!
I’m coming for 6 days in Switzerland in july, august staying in Olten making it base to cover Lucerne, interlaken, grindlwald zurich which pass do you recommend?
It depends how much you will use it. If you stay like 4 day in Grindelwald and dont make much distance youll be better of with the Swiss Half Fare Card for Tourists for example. If you take the train everyday for an hour or more or you want convenience of not booking a ticket each time, then the travel pass might be more suitable!

Ah thats so nice that you found my recommendation useful!! 😄 It has been a while since that video, but now Im starting to upload more often 😊👌 also you can see the chapel bridge if you look closely 😄
My view of "checklist" or "hotspot" tourism is that yes, these places are overdone cliches, but usually for a reason because they usually ARE worth visiting, and you're missing out if you skip them because you don't want to be one of "those" tourists, but that just makes you a different kind of one of "those" tourists, the kind who intentionally skips famous sites thinking that it makes them hip and cool or something, when it doesn't. My view is visit these places, budget time and money for them because there's usually long lines and it costs a bit, but do visit them, and then you're done and can visit those off the beaten path places you've been dying to see. Don't try to be a "cool" tourist. There's no such thing.
Thank man visiting in September and will definitely be looking at more of your hints and tips

I’ll be there September 10. Do I rent a car or take train? Or maybe car a few days , then train? I want to see villages more than bigger cities. If I rent, is parking hard to find?
If you want to see villages, then a car is better! You will find parking.
The half fare card seems reasonable. Maybe look into the Berner Oberland Pass also, and you can purchase it with the half fare card cheaper.
Nice video, can you suggest is it worth buying Swiss travel pass or buying train or bus tickets separately worth ??
It depends how much you will use it. If you stay like 4 day in Grindelwald and dont make much distance youll be better of with the Swiss Half Fare Card for Tourists for example. If you take the train everyday for an hour or more or you want convenience of not booking a ticket each time, then the travel pass might be more suitable!
@@SwitzerlandInsider thanks for the info 😊
can we buy empire estate building with half pass??
Hi bro. I am from India and planned a trip to swiss on 4th of November. Can you please tell how the climate will be at that time. What kind of jerkin should i bring
Hi, it will be around 0 to 15C most likely and the higher up you go, the colder and you have a chance to see snow already
Very useful and all true. But you forgot to say how good are the local and authentic restaurants!!
Thanks for your feedback!
great information, however, that background music is a bit annoying or very loud
Thanks for your feedback!

I'm planning to visit Swiss in Jan 2025. Any suggestions on places and how to commute within Swiss?
Jungfrau region is very nice during this time of year! I recommend going there by train
music way too loud and distracting, however, thx for the tips
Thanks for the feedback!
Got back from my 7th trip since 2015. Very few businesses want Francs. I withdrew too much money and ended up having a hard time using all of it. I got frowns at all restaurants when i offered francs. That was 2 weeks ago. Things have changed since 2015! Talk to Daddy!!
What currency did they want
هل نستطيع ادخال سيارتنا الى سويسرا ونحن قادمون من هولندا ام لايسمح بذللك؟؟؟
Yes you can but if you drive on the highway you will need to buy a highway toll sticker for CHF 40 at the border
@@SwitzerlandInsider thanks❤️
Amazingly 🔥
Coming to Europe the last half of June/early July. Flying back to USA from Zurich, so we decided to spend a couple of days in Lucerne area. We will be staying in Wiggis, then our last night back to Zurich staying at the airport Capsule Hotel.
Wish you the best time! ⛰️
Thank you for your tips
My pleasure 😊

Very nice poi t!

Switzerland is really full of tourist traps. Really really annoying. Add the really inappropriate weather unless is July or August.
