I don’t know why but for some reason that shot at 3:05 accompanied by the tangerine dream like kick in synth always gets me going. Knew this movie was going to kick-off hard when I seen it.

You need to have a exact item or an exact amount of money your taking. Every second counts so even an extra min of “what else you have” is an extra min of getting caught or disrupting the flow of the robbery. Every heist goes bad because of greed or extra shit

I can’t figure out how the cops managed to track Connie down in the end. The poor security guard they arrested thinking he was a bum had been force fed enough acid to be out for at least an entire day, and he did not have his wallet or ID for the cops to identify him, let alone find his apartment building-which they’d have no reason to do.
Was it the girl? Was she brought back to her grandma’s house, without her grandmas car, and forced to spill the truth of how (and by whom) it got on the other side of town?
“They left me alone in the car outside this amusement park. I got out to look at the lights when they turned on, and that’s when the cops pulled me away. One of the guys came out dressed as a security guard and pretended he didn’t know me”.
Would that have been interesting enough to the cops for them to go back and investigate the security guard’s quarters? Did they then, upon finding it empty, contact the owners of the park to find out who the real security guard is supposed to be, to be given a name, which they looked up, to find that that person’s appearance matched the fucked up guy they arrested earlier? Did they then find his address and go there to investigate? Where they arrested Connie out front? Sounds like a process that would take a lot longer to complete than the few hours that pass before Connie gets arrested.
Also, by then, the police presence is so heavy out front that the audience is meant to see that the cops had finally tracked CONNIE down. And weren’t there to investigate some random, low-priority trespassing/impersonating crook

He left a lot of tracks behind. Probably on the lookout for that car, learned the security guard wasnt some druggy, the girl could've EASILY talked and gave info. There are detectives paid to figure this stuff out and he had been blindly crashing through scenario after scenario. The second they learn who that guard is, they find him. Wouldn't be too hard to figure out after awhile. They were at that guys apartment practically all night and morning. Not to mention the description the girl gave probably matched the guy they were looking for from the bank heist exactly (besides the new blonde hair. However, she might mention she caught him dying his hair at her grandmas house.) and the guy that was taken from the hospital.

in all likelihood it was Connie's idea of another area of separation from their actual identities, they're wearing gloves so the prospect of wearing a different skin color mask to an idiot criminal like Connie would fool the cops, in all reality it wouldn't have.
