    His little voice crack is just astounding to me. It's something that always happen when one gets too emotional, it doesn't even feel like acting. I don't even know how anyone can reach that level of acting, that level of total immersion in the scene and in the character. Both of them are fantastic, but Adam was out of this world in this movie.

      His voice crack, and the sound of his delivery on the word "die". I feel like it's a mix of rage but also the very very end of the word sounds like it's suddenly being taken back because deep down he knows he doesn't mean it, but his anger is pouring out of him and he's let it build to using those words. This scene breaks me every time. 💔

    This movie was very personal for me. I was a child of divorced parents and this scene brought back some painful memories of my parents arguments. I remember just putting a pillow over my ears, to try and suppress the raised voices of the things they dare to say to each other. It was something that crushed me as a child. I’m 23 now happily in love with someone and hope to pick my partner wisely without having to relive that hurt again. I’m not looking for perfection, only trust and comfort.

      @xzenderx 4 года назад +32

      @@madtitan0825 In the first movie he wasn't really established as a considerable threat. This was due to how an untrained rey was able to fight him off with a lightsaber. There were a number of times he could use his force power to end the fight instantly, and it would have been more significant if they saved han's death for the second film.
      In the second movie, the badguys needed a win. That's usually where they get the win. But instead, they lose their leader, a massive star ship, are unable to take revenge on luke who simply vanishes, and Kylo barely gets used in that film.
      The throne room fight is..... lol. Seriously, check out shadiversities autopsy of that fight, its hillarious. We've got vanishing daggers, rey bieng sliced in the stomach (the troopers decide, you know what, i'ma miss!)
      But there's an absolute abundance of it which is a shame.
      I can't speak for the final film, but its bieng compared to an abusive relationship.
      So yeah he was certainly wasted, but like i said, he was by far the best thing the trilogy had going for it.
      He was supposed to be this extremely angry person. Rage empowers the darkside. Wouldn't it have been cool if we saw that reflected in his power? When he's raging in that control room, instead of just his light saber, the force violently ripples out and destroys those nearby troopers after the "Nope" scene.
      Wouldn't it be cool if when he got angry, the force empowered everything he did, making dueling meaningless unless rey trained to a point that she could negate the force itself and stabilize the area first.
      Stuff like that would have been really cool to establish him as a real threat, and would have made it that much more cool and convincing when he turned to the light.

I was physically, mentally, verbally and sexually abused and I swore id never put my kids through this. Thankfully I'm with my husband 20 years (married for 15) with 6 kids and they know nothing of this kind of relationship. Your heart can heal and you can be a better person than your parents. ❤

    I saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind when I was too young to understand it. I knew it was sad, and had an idea of why, but it never fully resonated with me. After the breakup of my 12 year relationship, I remembered that movie and realized why I won't watch it again. Then this movie came out and gave me the same vibes, so I still haven't watched it. After seeing this clip, I know EXACTLY what is going on here and why I still can't watch either movie. It's been 5 years since I've moved on and this one clip brought back everything.
    This isn't art; this is raw, genuine feelings in film form.

    This isn’t overacting. This is how parents in family are, at least once in their lives. Even if they aren’t getting a divorce, arguments happen. Things are said. Nothing is meant. This is one of the most well acted scenes I’ve ever seen and this should be studied in classrooms to show how one’s job should be when it comes time to perform.

    • @Dynasty1818

      Everything is meant in the moment. You can say you were angry, scared, drunk, whatever. In these moments you say what you really mean. The only reason he apologised after saying he wishes she was dead is because that's not an acceptable thing to say when the only reason you're together is because of your kid. He didn't wish she was dead because then his son doesn't have a mother. Take the kid out of it and he'd still think it and probably wouldn't apologise, because he truly wishes he could get away from her for good.

      It's the pain from all the bitter shame and regret we feel finally bubbling to the surface after being repeatedly shoved down and violently repressed. You only cry when your drunk because it's the only time you let yourself feel the pain . Or more like the only time you cant repress it, so it just comes spilling out. You kind of hate yourself for it, because deep down you know you drink so that for once you can let let yourself cry.
