iPhone13ProMax #GalaxyS21Ultra #iPhone13Mini
Do you use the speakers on your device or a Bluetooth headset?
U can change the sound of the s21 ultra in the settings if u want bass or u want to be flat or higher just give it a try 🤍
Speakers mainly, Bluetooth when I’m ready to sleep.
I'm love smartphone stereospeakers always and enjoy whole day with my Galaxy S21 Ultra.
Honestly, ever since I switched to wireless earbuds, I've rarely even use the speakers.
@@wave266
Of course u will not because the sound is way better
Thank you soooo much for doing this video. It's really hard to find dedicated smartphone speaker tests on RUclips.
True
S21U definitely! iPhone is too focused on the highs, which in some cases, can be a bit too much!
Did we listen to the same video? Apogee Duet and DT900 headphones here. The S21 might be slightly louder, but don’t let volume fool you. Just like the Samsung TVs on display at your local electronics stores, brighter displays don’t mean superior panels yet customers get fooled all the time. Likewise, there’s more to this test than volume alone.
The S21 sounds flat for lack of a better word. Compared to the 13 Pro Max, the vocals have no warmth whereas they sound very well rounded and warm on the iPhone. You might “hear” the low end better on the S21, but it almost sounds distorted and quite frankly, thin. The low end sounds cleaner and well balanced on the iPhone. Not in your face, but perfectly balanced for the mix.
Overall, the difference between the S21 and the 13 Pro Max was like listening to an audio test between a budget friendly, entry level Bluetooth speaker and the more expensive model it’s trying to keep up with. I think Samsung is catching up but still has a ways to go.
It sounds like the Samsung was dropped in a barrel and left there with the music on. Very muffled.
@@sergiomoreno2957 Don't know about the deep tech aspects, but having good headphones, listen to music for 20 years, playing guitar and singing for 14 years, dealing with phones for 17 years, my ears say that the ip13pm has the best speakers in the world right now when it comes to mass produced phones. Its sound is clean, crisp and the bass is clear and not muffled OR overboosted to distortion. The best word describing the ip13pm speakers is Natural.
Sure, bass heads would take a ROG 5 or other. For listening to podcast, even a Motorola g8 power stereo was great. For music, nothing beats the iPhone right now. Tho the s21u is great too.
BTW, I watched a RUclips video s21u vs s22u vs note20u and the note20u speakers killed the s22u. The S21 was like... Different but on par with note20u. The new s22u, aka note20u refresh :p is a faux pá when it comes to innovation by Samsung. Go watch it. What a travesty. 3yo phone has better speakers than a brand new one for 2x the price rn
Nick. My. Ok. 1:13
S21 Song 1: 3:33
13PM Song 1: 2:51
S21 Song 2: 5:43
13PM Song 2: 5:16
The S21 sounds better because it’s playing after a significantly worse device and it colors your perception. Listen to the S21 and 13 back to back.
Worse ?
@@kwiky5643 The iPhone 12 is objectively worse.
Base on s21 was better
@@TCPUDPATM hmm not really
Hmm... To me listening to them back to back like this makes the iphone feel a little better quality. Still prefer the s21
Samsung s21 was the winner 🏆 in sound test
Only in decibels, had that worst sound of the text next to the Mini
I'm no audio expert but, I kinda think that the iPhone is best for pop songs because of it's high ends and kinda balanced audio stage(?) , and S21 is clearly the best in hip hop and probably edm because of those low and mid ends, correct me if I'm wrong
Thanks bro
your right ...
S21 ultra def sounds the worst let’s just be real here bro
The iphone sounds better all around as I have tested them in store as the s21 ultra has a little more sound stage but my 12 pro had more bass and more fullness while the s21 ultra is much more bright
@@coolsquad7428 idk about the 12 pro I know the 13 pro is alot louder than my 12 pro was
Loudest: S21 Ultra
Most balance sound quality: 13 Pro Max
you don't know how to listen, please clean your ears or stop with the super preferences.
@@anthonyzs9705 dang, sounds more like my opinion is invalid unless it lines up with yours. You must be the kind of person who doesn't like when people have a mind of their own?
@@Marlon_J That's not what I was going to say, it's that you really think the other audio is terrible, you are simply not objective, the opinion is subjective and is based on a support related to what has been investigated or observed.
@@anthonyzs9705 I actually have a Galaxy S phone as well, the s20+, which sounds just like s21 Ultra, but not as loud. I would never say either of them sound terrible. I just said the iPhone sound more balanced. I could easily have played to my Samsung bias. I was just being fair based off what I heard.
Samsung's speaker sounds crispier to me though...
@@Atl118 i have both, samsung is louder and sharp, 13 PM is more bassy. Both suits different use cases tbh.
I was gonna say iPhone 13 Pro/Max objectively sound better the S21 has like a tinny and hollow quality to it. Don’t give me wrong it’s not at the S 21s bad it’s just by comparison of the iPhone 13 Pro/Max is clearer and warmer.
@@DavidA20200 Your definitely spot on there. The S21 Ultra does have this tinny quality to it’s sound that comes across a little empty and harsh to my ears. There’s definitely more warmth and just overall depth to the IPhone’s sound judging from this video.
@@lewis02mc Hopefully they'll fix it with the S22 Ultra
Listing to my S21 ultra.....!!!!!
🔹️All is good but i like S21 Ultra's speakers
Speakers are one of the most important part of smartphone, love the video ❤️
I used my new pro max and I was like wait hold up did they upgrade the sound .. stumbled on your video ..thank you for validating that fact
I have listened to this test on my Pro system "PSI Audio", and there is no doubt that the 13 Pro Max is miles ahead of all the others, better treble, more bass, more level.
I don't know about that. Have a listen on high-end headphones. The 13 Pro Max sounds louder and clearer but the 12 Pro Max has better, warmer bass. Which makes sense because the 12 Pro Max has physically larger speakers. While the 13 series relies more on psychoacoustic processing (DSP integrated into the Cirrus Logic speaker amplifiers).
To me the S21 sounded the loudest but had the least bass, but a wider soundstage and better low-mids which might be better for outdoors listening.
@@damienlobb85 nooo the 12 pro isn’t even close the 13 pro is def the loudest
@@damienlobb85 the s21 ultra sounded really bright as it is a little more wider sound but the mids and highs are simular to the 13 pro as the s21 ultra had practically not bass while the 12 pro max had tad more bass then the 13 pro max
The S21 Ultra sounds distorted at loud volumes. 13 Pro Max wins this
you don't know how to listen, can you please clean your ears?
@@anthonyzs9705 Awww I upset a Samtard 😢
s21 sounds more deep and better and has bass
So which do you think is the loudest from best to least???? 🤩🤩🤩
Wow I thought iphone 13 pro would win but s21 ultra killed it
Funny some people are so much biased towards Apple that they even deny what their own ears hear!
I mean don't you freaking hear that S21 ultra has a wider sound profile overall and better mids and highs?!
Yep iPhones might be louder and have more prominent base, but volume and fullness isn't everything.
iPhone max sounds clearest. S21 has the bass. For my hearing needs, s21 sounds best.
More like the opposite
The S21Ultra has more base and depth while the Iphone 13 pro max is louder and has more clarity... So it depends with what one prefers.
Lol i experienced that the iphones had A LOT more bass than the samsung had 🤔
@@dionysos5337 the samsung got more separations
The sound in the iphone feels mixed together
@@nguyhiemnhan86 that's true
@@dionysos5337 i don't have an iphone but i do own a gaming phone(black shark 4) which is really one of the best when it comes to bass. My moms S21 has almost no bass putting right next to my Black Shark 4. But that Samsung sound separation is unmatched to the point that you can tell apart everything except for the bass since its not even there 😂
Next time you should definitely have the screen facing towards the microphone considering every new flagship phone since several years back has used the earpiece as an additional speaker, mostly for higher register sounds. Without it facing you, the lower notes will be over-emphasized and drown out the higher ones as I think was evident here, particularly on the S21 Ultra. Speaking as an owner of that phone, it makes a big difference it that top speaker is muffled or blocked by something.
He placed the Binaural Microphones Facing the screen of the phones. U can see the “ears” behind the phones, those are the Binaural Microphones.
I really dont get how ppl hear that the s21 has more bass, for me its clear that the iphones has a lot more bass
Such a nice, clean presentation. Very well done sir. Wish more of such comparisons in the future, and wish you all the best man!
Very usefull, thank you!
S21 ultra is good 👍
My thoughts on the iPhone they are sounding like a little too high on the a high ends, but to me the s21 ultra take down the little bit of the high end I can hear it better. 🤔
In this situation I give the iPhone 6 out of 10 and the s21 ultra 8 out of 10.
Ok so obviously you’re never gonna get a true representation of how these actually sound through a video playing over your own headphones or speakers as I’m sure most people already know. With that being said though, and also taking into consideration that these are tiny phone speakers we’re talking about, IMO from this video alone the IPhone takes it. From what I can hear there seems to be better separation on the IPhone, the music sounds less compressed and thin. There also seems to be better low end extension as I can hear more lower bass punch coming through compared to the Samsung. It honestly wouldn’t surprise me if the Samsung played louder just from the sound signature it seems to have but yeah, in regards to just sound quality alone, the IPhone just sounds superior to me. (Audio guys perspective)
True it does sound higher quality but the S21 Ultra has more depth and bass at the expense of sound quality
@@venator7889 this literally makes no sense! Only a Sammy fanboy would say something like that and I have the Sammy s21 ultra! How could something have more depth and bass at the expense of sound quality? Think about it! The Sammy actually just sounds muddy in comparison to the other devices. Sammy lacks soundstage and without equitable sound quality you can't really isolate instruments in a space. There literally is no comparison here between a Sammy and any of those iPhones. And, let's get something straight, Apple has been doing high quality music for a really long time. The Sammy s21 ultra doesn't even offer the higher end codecs for streaming Tidal Master quality music. I have to pull out my Google pixel 4xl to stream the higher bit rates.
Just because a device can play louder does not make it better. There's literally nothing like being able to hear the nuances of your sound source without the speakers getting in the way. When those rap songs sound bad on the iPhone it's because they're recorded poorly. You're listening to exactly the way the artist put it out there and nothing's being added to make it sound better or worse. Sammy on the other hand is making Bass music sound better because the Bass music is nothing but Bass so it sounds like trash and a lot of rap music sounds like trash.
I'm not trying to say I don't like rap music, but rap music is just poorly recorded with sound machines it is not a great source of listening to high quality music. In fact, because it's so poorly recorded it sounds worse when the speaker does not get in the way.
@@chillywill95831 Oh I see, i read everything, ya the audio sounds muddy on the S21 Ultra
The S21 Ultra made you feel like you were at the actual live concert
I just got the 13 pro and really thing the sound has less bass than the 12 pro . I am quite disappointed on this point
Thought I was the only one who noticed this … dunno 🤷🏽♂️ The bass on the 12 pro Max is deffo deeper than the 13 pro max 💯
Thank God I’m not the only one, I just got my iPhone 13 pro two weeks ago, the first thing I know this is the terrible terrible sound from the speakers, sounds like a very metallic sound, I was shocked, I research about it, and unfortunately a lot of people complain about this issue, $1100 phone, it’s a shame, I still have my iPhone 13 which I think I’m going to switch back.
Great video! The biggest differnece was from 13 Mini to 13, whereas there wasn't hardly a difference betweeen the two Pro models. I was already fine with the sound on my 11 Pro Max. My 13 Pro Max will make me even more satisfied!
It blew me away honestly that it sounds so good, it sounds almost soundbar like
None of the speakers sounds good. Earphones is highly recommended.
13 pro and pro max very excellent but seem like s21 ultra is warmer sound, so s21U better, but just a little
S21 Ultra has more bass, the iPhones have more high level buzz in the sound...
Mais grave não é abafafo o som.
Ultra😉👌
S21 ultra for SURE
These speakers are still no match for the ROG PHONE 5..
They should do this kind of tests more. Who cares about the speed anymore at this point. Won't take an hour to open an app on any phone these days anyways.

Idk, it’s quite a draw. The iPhone 13PM is very clear but at the same time deeper and powerful bass. The s21 sounds warm and comfy. Tbh it all comes down to user preference.
S21 ULTRA WINNRAR
I just got my white/silver iphone 13 pro max 128gb in the mail and i'm soooooooo happy with mine 😍🤗 i'm uploading my unboxing on my channel as well.
S21 for sure. Vocals were sooo much clear. The separation between musics and vocals was best
It sounds bad to me, too muffled. But the iPhones sound too thin. It comes down to personal preference in the end.

I have both in front of me rn and Iphone sound much better. More bass and clearer.

S21 Definitely Sounds better than the iphones. And you can also put eq's on it for free unlike iPhone.and their is Dolby atmos which just makes the Samsung sound so much better
Unfortunately the apple does not sound good at all. The Galaxy sounds way better. You should put the Galaxy s21 up against the Motorola edge Plus 2020, that is some real competition.
I have a oneplus 7 pro, and I love it, but after what I researched, and what I’ve seen, and how I feel, I’m giving in, I’m getting a iPhone 13 pro max.
The s21 is more calm but i like the iphone more. Btw i saw the dxomark speaker rankings and idk if blackshark 4 pro speakers are good as the rankings
S 21 ultra is the loudest
does the iPhone 13 pro has less louder speakers than the 13 pro max? My IPhone 11pro max sounds so much louder than my 13 pro and the base is much better also. anyone else?
Pretty decent. Still way way far from the leader, ROG Phone 5.
If only mine rog 5 ultimate got a decent camera.. i will not selling it.. 🥲
@@RedAmazing it's not even like the camera is bad. It has probably one of the best night modes, especially considering lack of any image stabilisation. You can make almost any photo sharp this way.
S21 sounds the loudest but the 13 PM sounds loud+crisp to me

Thank you. I always appreciate your speaker tests so much. The audio is one of the most important things for me when choosing a device. I think the 13 series sounds a lot louder and clearer than previous versions but call me crazy, I prefer the sound coming from the S21 Ultra. 🤷🏻♀️
Listen on better speakers, S21 Ultra is perhaps louder but the sound quality is straight up horrible. The S21 literally sounds like an old school alarm clock speaker
@@BC08 Totally disagree

If you listen carefully s21ultra sounds like hollow drum not so punchy. Kinda echo effect happen, and i think iphone speakers are a league ahead
I prefer the iPhone 13 pro max because its more balanced comparing to the s21 ultra . I am a producer and we generally prefer more real and flat sounds specially for mix and master.
Honestly I look forward to the day I can comfortably hear my phone over the shower without needing a speaker. I like to listen to news during that time but hate having to charge a water resistant speaker all the time.

I'm no audiophile - this is just how it sounds to my ears and personal tastes. I believe the S21 Ultra does have a bit more spaciousness overall, but I also feel this comes at the cost of clarity. It sounds like the midrange has been dropped almost completely and you hear lows and highs, but not a whole lot in the middle. It sounded "hollow". Conversely, the iPhone 13 Pro Max (which has the most room internally for speakers as well as bass response) sounded more flat all around, like a reference speaker. That means the bass wasn't super low, but level. The mids were level. The highs were level. Very balanced, but not shocking anyone in terms of overall range.
Very correct
Iphone sounds better i think with punchy deep bass nd sound nd also judgeing it from my frds grup most of the iphone better than any other phone
