I'm a former OP3 user and currently using OP7 pro. We lost our aim, our identity. Even worse, they gave us a full screen with the pop-up camera of the OP7 and then went back to the middle age. This is my last OnePlus phone, I'm going back to the 400-500€ pricetag. But Trump killed Xiaomi too so don't know which pop-up I'll choose next...
Still love Oneplus,been a samsung user for long and i switch..im a mid-range user as im poor but the midrange of Oneplus feels more premium and cheaper than on a Samsung..Im a Oneplus 7t user now..Samsung midrange are way expensive and it's not premium..

instead of improving video quality, they focused on distortion which no phone has distortion. and they gave money to hasselblad which overprices its cameras. hasselblad overcharged for them probably little improvement. iphone still the top in night video quality. but in daytime video samsung is better. huawei still the top in daytime photos. hasselblad cameras are overpriced and they dont do video alot, oneplus wasted their money. probably for logo.

Well every tech person or every person had a different preference..actually i love the Oneplus over the Samsung.. Samsung is not realistic one..It has a smooth finish in a picture..

Since you're asking for feedback on the camera comparisons, I think you did an excellent job. I can't think of anything to improve on, you covered everything I could think of, plus a lot more.
At 1:41, that photo had our attention at completely different detail until Arun Zoomed in himself at the far building. This photo cracked me up in the first place.

It sucks that many of OP9's shots, especially the darkness problem Arun mentioned, is still no different from my 7T. I'm not buying another OnePlus device unless they improve the camera. Screw the Hasselblad branding. It's clearly OnePlus' software processing. Wish they'd spend that $150 million on hiring better imaging professionals.
I thought this could be my return to Oneplus but it is not. I agree, the money could have been spent elsewhere. The camera system on their phones is something I always wish they could improve upon. I would love to own a Hasselblad but I rather actually buy one of their cameras.

OnePlus has many ways to improve. Hassleblad, Zeiss won't work unless the software calibration is not fair with the camera. I think it's the most weakest aspect of Oxygen/Hydrogen OS that they are not giving the better in camera competition.
OnePlus 9pro it's not bad in camera,,, because I hv done my new music video song completely with OnePlus 9pro mobile camera and I hv good results.thank you to OnePlus team🥰👍

Thorough review, really like the format and the categories, and multiple lighting situations for the shots. You did great as the photo shoot subject as well. I still think the iPhone is better for video as well (I'm a Sammy user) and pics are great on both. Amazing review!
Except that the Samsung almost always has a rebate going at least in the states. It means that effectively the phones are about the same price. For example the S21 ultra 128gb is literally 999 right now vs 969 for the oneplus 8 pro, or I believe 1199 and 1069 on the 256gb model(for some reason the unlocked deal on the 256 gb one ended it was 1099 before). On top of that Samsung also gives you 250 dollars in credit for accessories as well right now. That makes the samsung effectively cheaper than the oneplus for either version when you consider the accessories your going to buy, especially since you have to buy specialized and overpriced bricks and car chargers for the oneplus as it won't warp charge with a normal power brick. Pretty much the Samsung is a much much better deal right now for either model.

It sucks that many of OP9's shots, especially the darkness problem Arun mentioned, is still no different from my 7T. I'm not buying another OnePlus device unless they improve the camera. Screw the Hasselblad branding. It's clearly OnePlus' software processing. Wish they'd spend that $150 million on hiring better imaging professionals.
I thought this could be my return to Oneplus but it is not. I agree, the money could have been spent elsewhere. The camera system on their phones is something I always wish they could improve upon. I would love to own a Hasselblad but I rather actually buy one of their cameras.
Also consider the price, Who will spend this much amount.

OnePlus has many ways to improve. Hassleblad, Zeiss won't work unless the software calibration is not fair with the camera. I think it's the most weakest aspect of Oxygen/Hydrogen OS that they are not giving the better in camera competition.
OnePlus 9pro it's not bad in camera,,, because I hv done my new music video song completely with OnePlus 9pro mobile camera and I hv good results.thank you to OnePlus team🥰👍

Thorough review, really like the format and the categories, and multiple lighting situations for the shots. You did great as the photo shoot subject as well. I still think the iPhone is better for video as well (I'm a Sammy user) and pics are great on both. Amazing review!

Except that the Samsung almost always has a rebate going at least in the states. It means that effectively the phones are about the same price. For example the S21 ultra 128gb is literally 999 right now vs 969 for the oneplus 8 pro, or I believe 1199 and 1069 on the 256gb model(for some reason the unlocked deal on the 256 gb one ended it was 1099 before).
On top of that Samsung also gives you 250 dollars in credit for accessories as well right now. That makes the samsung effectively cheaper than the oneplus for either version when you consider the accessories your going to buy, especially since you have to buy specialized and overpriced bricks and car chargers for the oneplus as it won't warp charge with a normal power brick. Pretty much the Samsung is a much much better deal right now for either model.
