Thank you for going over camera modes and frame rates as well, it is a must to overview imo besides showing different video and photo comparison however very few tech vloggers include that. For some people also shooting with HD mode vs 5K makes much more sense to save up memory or because of laptop specs or when simply big resolution is not needed like things for sale or some duty shots. I was surprised to know that many contemporary models in chase for megapixels race stopped offering that option to choose video / photo size and resolution. Audio seems to be subdued on S21 and lots of ambiance noise on S21 FE? What’s your experience with aberration, do they stretch/distort edges of objects? Like I loved my S8 yet aberration was very strong. Oracle/ metaphorical cards were always distorted whether shot as single cards or as 6-12 cards together.
I think the difference is negligible. Sometimes the FE is better, sometimes the regular S21, making the camera performance pretty much the same. I think it is better to go for the cheaper model. In Iran, S21 FE is significantly cheaper, and the pricing is actually good compared to many countries. Here the competitor is not pixel 6 or S21, but the Xiaomi Mi 11T pro, which offers a 120watts charger in the box, SD888, 12 GB of ram, and a cheaper price. But I choose S21 FE because of the lighter weight, IP68, better camera, and better software experience. There is no huge difference between SD888 and Exynos 2100. so I go for the FE. Moreover, it is not all about the camera, the S21 FE gets one more update and has a bigger battery. Thanks for your video, very informative and I liked the music as well. good luck.

I mean... Cameras on smartphones these days are literally the same. Without video comparison side by side you wouldnt even know which is which. You can record a video with s21 fe and the next day on Iphone 13 pro and people wouldnt notice if you wont tell them. The only options that matter on flagships (all have pretty good sensors) are megapixels for photos so you can easier photoshop picture with higher details. And OIS for vlogging. That's my opinion. Also I see you cant beautify face on s21 fe with 1080 60fps mode. On the other hand on s21 you can
Yeah that’s true, phones are so good now it’s hard to tell. Sometimes you can with their “look” or colors but most people won’t see it. OIS is a must have for vlogging for sure
Looks like the S21 struggles in portrait with non-perfect lighting, as its strictly relying on software (presumably processing a psycho amount of MPs) to create a cutout all while balancing exposure between background and foreground. Whereas the FE has a true tele lens as opposed to a high MP count that simply digitally zooms, so it takes less software work to make portraits work, especially in challenging lighting. Also worth noting pixel peeping is always gonna favor the high MP camera, but most people don't quite see that when glancing at a photo. But I am impressed at how well the S21 simulates telephoto strictly through MP count and digi zooming. I would have thought there was no way it would be superior but it seems to win out in most tele situations. But portraits in non-perfect lighting will likely favor the FE for now. Can't wait for Samsung to change all the phones to natural teles as opposed to high MP counts with software reliance.

@@danielsin thanks! I thought a little bit. Price in Europe of S21 and S21FE are around 600-650 EUR. Pixel 6 650 EUR. I saw that there aren't lots of difference, so I found a used (new) S21 Fe for 380 EUR and I took it :-) hope to have done a good choice.

Main camera is better compared to s21fe in most of conditions but front camera no as it is just 8mp. I found p6 heavier and non comfortable in everyday life usage. I have normal (small) hands and it was difficult to use it with one hand and for long time (mails, meetings etc) as I do with s21fe. So, P6 could have a better camera (super fast click and shoot) but if I can't use the phone in a comfortable way I will stand with s21fe. Most of us uses the phone all the day long so if it isn't comfortable in your hand I guess it will be difficult to use it. Maybe later on I will try s22 or pixel 7.

I might be crazy but I'm about to spend $170 extra for the S21 over the S21 FE (Amazon Prime deal) just for that slightly better quality for telephoto. I mean 64 megapixels vs 8 megapixels has to mean something right?
MP doesn’t really matter unless you’re printing out your picture or cropping. Better and bigger camera sensor really determines the quality of the image

S21 fe is superior to S21 and S21+ in terms of final camera quality..... What is funny, but i get its due to Samsung try their best more in Fe and Ultra models than Standart and + model..... S21 fe have even one of best camera scores to this date, i bet its due to Snapdragon 888 AI and efford put in that phone..... Some shots are better on the S21, others on the S21 FE. The less expensive one is the one to get between those two, depending on where you live on the planet. For me in Canada the S21 is too expensive at around $1,000 (makes no sense at all). And the FE retails for $950 (way too expensive also). So I just forget both of them and I'm going shopping somewhere else for a better phone. I might as well check the S21 Ultra for sales ... There’s no one there to take pics. I set it on a timer and tripod. Then run in front. It’s not about how good the pic looks. It’s about how good the AI or cutout compares with the subject to each other.

Can i ask how about the S21 or S22 do they have the same shutter pause ( slight pause ) before you take the next pic. Does the shutter pause to take the next pic is it due to low light, is there any pause for post processing for broad daylight? Thanks!
It’s quicker or barely noticeable on the s22. It’s not as smooth as the iPhone but better than the s21 FE. And it’s common when you’re in low light situations

Noted that shutter speed between pics - Iphone is much smoother. Can i request another check - > Can you help to try out if the shutter speed is quicker if the setting inside Samsung picture setting for " motion picture" is "off" ( its on by default if i m not mistaken). The reason i asked this is because, I realised that if motion picture is "ON" then the pic image size is "11/12mb" and where as if the motion pic is off the pic size is 2/3mb+/- " i suspect the writing speed of the storage will makes a slight difference which might results on the shutter peed pause? The S21 is better but more expensive and the S21 FE has come down a lot in price. Still, battery life on both phones is fair. In addition, the S21 FE will be updated to Android 16 and the S21 to Android 15 if you do not care about those details I recommend the S21+ or the S21 FE if the money you bring is fair. Not really. The a52 has 64 megapixels. It's has more to do with processing.

The reason i asked this is because, I realised that if motion picture is "ON" then the pic image size is "11/12mb" and where as if the motion pic is off the pic size is 2/3mb+/- " i suspect the writing speed of the storage will makes a slight difference which might results on the shutter peed pause? Just a guess. Thanks!

The price difference is 10k in Bangladesh.....
Please help me in making purchase decision........
The S21 is better but more expensive and the S21 FE has come down a lot in price. Still, battery life on both phones is fair. In addition, the S21 FE will be updated to Android 16 and the S21 to Android 15 if you do not care about those details I recommend the S21+ or the S21 FE if the money you bring is fair. (srry for my bad english)

It’s personal preference. I do like when you have the optimizer on, it suggests you to use night mode and you can get to it easier
THE MOST IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE I'VE SEEN WHEN TAKING VIDEOS IN 3X ZOOM, S21 FE IS MUCH MORE STABLE

In fact, I did not notice any difference, except for the video. I think that the S21 is more stable. Even if I had to choose! I would choose the s21 because it is a major flakship for sure silicon is the best.

why everybody thinks that there will be a major differences in camera quality between these two phones? come on, there are definitely pretty identical. Its the same results. its like you compare the pixel 6 camera with the upcoming pixel 6A'a camera. 99% of the time the picture will produce the same.
