Excellent video. It’s not an over hyped car meet BS you normally see on YT. It felt real. Car meets are kinda slow and boring except for the cool cars and I felt it here. With Covid bs I felt like I was at an actual meet. Appreciatory valves wide open.

I’m getting stationed in japan soon and am just now wanting to get into cars. I guess I picked the perfect time to do so considering japan’s car scene seems unreal. Any suggestions for my first jdm? Hoping to stay in the $5-7k range
I had an ex gf with a full body kit on hers..some assholes stole that shit in less then 10 minutes. Probably were casing the car for days. Invest in a wheel lock or kill switch. Worst feeling in the world, stepping out and your cars not where you parked it...I felt so bad. They ended up finding it stripped to the frame, and she had to pay 400$ to get it out of impound, even thought it wasnt even worth that much in scrap metal.
My FIRST day in Japan, we stopped off in Daikoku and got off the bus and there was a car meet, so me and a few car guys went to check them out. was a great first day! Late 2000 - December- arriving in Japan Me, checking out the R32 Spec II GTST- not knowing Japanese then or really much about cars other than I love them, "cool, looks fast! and giving the guy thumbs up Guy, "sank youu...! bery bery fastu!" Me, "I love Japan! I love your car!"

I've been to japan twice, stayed over a month both times, but have never rented a car to drive around to the car meets. i had to stick to public transport and checking out workshops and a few flex auto's in the big city's. Next time i plan to rent a car for sure. It's funny, like you said, we all want what we cant have. I have a S15, most Americans would go crazy for it, it was my daily for 12 years, now it gathers dust in the shed because i have no interest in it. I would love to import a 70's Chevy nova to have a "real" muscle car, to you guys, its nothing special. keep up the great videos!

In the north of Honshu we also did time-trials in 1997. I had a Prelude Si 5-spd at the time. We'd meet in 5 pre-designated locations and routes.
