Yokohama Base has probably been the best event I’ve seen in Japan. Period. Imagine combining the best from TAS together with hundreds upon hundreds of the country’s best privately owned and tastefully modified cars out there. To top it off the venue at the old old docks in Yokohama with views of Minatomirai as a backdrop truly made for a very special day. Hope this event becomes a yearly thing because it was simply amazing. Awesome job to the guys at Option for putting it on, proving that nothing touches Japan when it comes to modified cars!

I hope this becomes a yearly event, I haven't felt like I missed out on an event so much since watching early 2000s TAS coverage. The amount and quality of cars, plus the location, make it the event to visit, probably even better than TAS. If it happens next year I'm going to plan the long awaited trip to Japan.

I grew up in the 80s and always was (and still am) a big German car fan. I always wanted the Porsches, BMWs and Mercs to win all the group tests in the magazines against the Japanese cars. For the last few years, I have grown to appreciate and love JDM cars too, especially the ones from the 80s and 90s. Your channel really hits home with me! Saying all this, I am really interested to see what you do with the 964!

“The one and only Cyber Evo” needs its full original livery back. If you didn’t tell us that was THE Cyber Evo, I’d have thought it was a replica or homage to it.
Japan is goin nuts out there and they show out! The celica convertible caught my eye as well those CrewCh cars with the G nose, the starlet turbo and the 180sx with the Lseries and carbs, the white S13 on MK1's and chunky tires, the Pajero Evo, Red Widebody s14 with the meaty fitment and the 4dr R31 at 23:38

It is remarkable that despite such a large car meeting, there is very little noise from engine revs.
It shows that all participants value the occasion so much that they do not want the event to be shut down and ruined.
The SIZE, the VARIETY! Great to check out unique approaches and cars we don't find often. I haven't seen that many R31s in any other video yet!

What an amazing turnout of cars and their owners. Beautiful location too. Thanks Dino. ps. I'm not a fan of the styling of those GTR50, I think Nissan need to go back to the drawing board on that one for sure. If I was to pick some favourite cars from those on display, so many to choose from, but perhaps a 964, one of the RX7's and maybe an AE86.

Wow Dino that’s a lot of cars. By the way there are few cars that I notice while you are filming and one of them is the green FD3S and I wonder if that was the ex-demo car from RE Amemiya? Also, I notice a few LHD cars in the event and one of them is the silver Scion TC. Speaking of Volk Rays wheels, do you like the new versions of them like the new TE37’s? About the wheels that you previously put in your GTR do you keep them or no? Nice content as always.
