After 17 years of trying different anti-depressants nothing worked. Doctor gave me Trazodone for insomnia, but within one day I noticed a huge improvement in my mood and suddenly I had energy. Talk about a happy accident! I'm so glad something finally worked for me and my 'atypical' symptoms.
Hey man I just recently got off of 400mg of trazodone very night for 2 and a half years and I’m gonna tell you that stuff is awful I felt better at first but eventually I felt horrible and getting off of trazodone was HELL ON FUCKING EARTH!
@@mattcofer1522 I feel ya, I've been through withdrawals on other meds. Brain zaps, insomnia, lethargy,, etc. It's horrible. If I ever need to stop Trazodone it'll have to be slow, weaning down bit by bit. For now I'm glad it's helping bc I got really hopeless that nothing was ever going to work on my PTSD.
@@yamnjam do I’m begging you to listen to me don’t go past 150mg. If that stops working find something else even 50mg can cause people trouble when getting off but getting off of 400mgs was the most difficult thing I ever had to do in my life. If you have to start going past 150mg just try something else.
@@mattcofer1522 Thanks for the info. I'm currently at 100 mg, but some nights I just take 1 1/2, so like 75 mg. I might just stay at 75 mg now that you say this. I don't like how higher doses make me feel in the morning, like I wanna sleep way too long. I will definitely keep your advice in mind.
Can attest, I had all of these symptoms plus some. But my bratwurst was gone in an hour. I also experienced extreme weakness of the arms and legs, and impaired motor skills. The next morning (this morning) I was so dizzy and weak that I had to call out of work. Had I driven, I would have ended up in a car accident. I might as well have been drunk. At 2pm, I just now have my senses about me, and I’m not going to take this Med again.
Iam currently taking trazadone for insomnia and depression before I was only getting like 2 hrs of sleep a day but now I sleep 8+ dr wanted to give me ambien and I said no because I heard horrid stories about ambien *UPDATE…. I had to be takin off of trazadone because it was causing real bad tremors so now I’m taking doxepin which takes longer to put me to sleep
Can you take it just 1 or 2 times a week? Or do you got to take it every day like the doctors tell you I wanted a good sleeping pill to take once in awhile when I need it, not a pill I got to take everyday, n not a pill that will mess you up, any recommendations? People be very cautious what pills you take the doctors give you, study about it before you take it, cause many pills are messing people up a lot n also when they get off the them, theirs chemical things that get messed up in the brain n evil spirits attached to pills that mess people up more
In my experience, I have been completely fine taking Trazodone 1-2 times per week for about a yr now to help me sleep. I don't use it any more than this; sometimes less frequent honestly. Although I was originally prescribed 50mg, that dosage quickly became ineffective after about a week, so the Dr. said 100mg is safe, and that dosage has been working for me perfectly fine without any side effects whatsoever.
@@jimmy_b_wp my doctor prescribed me 100 mg tablets up to two a day every day for a year. I paid $12 for 200 mg a day for one year. This may end up lasting me five years.

I came here for some medicine information, and I don’t know if I’m supposed to get into a car wreck and eat a bratwurst and take a nap or what.
I only take it at night. I can’t imagine taking it in the day time.

Trazodone or Buspirone for GAD???
Is it a sedative somewhat like Ativan
Is it safe to take trazadone with affexor?
Not an expert but logic says NO. Serotonin Syndrome can occur .
i am not a doctor but the answer is YES. if you dont have anywhere to be.
I thought it was like tramadol when I took 3, I got way to high i was swaying around.
In low doses (25-50mg) it can be very effective for insomnia and is not addictive in the way that other meds are.
what happens when that low dose don’t put you to sleep and you need higher?
@@iamrightyourwrong5198 For insomnia it works best in low doses 25 to 100mg.
Take 150mgs sometimes not addicted

in your videos of depresion you allways put woman crying and never the man , only kids and woman
Forgive your mom for what she did to you. Forgive your father for not protecting you. Forgiveness is for YOU, not them. Only then will you heal.
