I took this for 5 years for insomnia and it sort of help. Maybe sleep for an hour or 2 but never did much more. I went off it a few weeks ago and feel better overall. Biggest side affect was blurry vision and increased appetite. It an over rated sleep aid as far as I am concerned.
I'm 50/50 with this. It's nice and all for my sleeping issues, just keeps me either dreamless or having weird or bad dreams. But idc, I'd rather have gore in my dreams rather than having constant depressive episodes
Unfortunately, this drug caused leg spasms for me that would keep me awake for hours. I didn't correlate these spasms to the trazadone for several months, thinking they were "just" anxiety.
Okay, sorry for being late on this. It causes weight gain - most antidepressants do. However, you'll feel more motivated, so you can exercise and eat healthy to manage a certain weight. For me, I drop weight because of my ADHD medicine causing a low appetite. Once you start though, you'll probably worry less about weight. Of course, if you're worried about that for health reasons, you can always do your best to change to a certain life style
I only take 50 mg for three months and I am so pissed off. I feel like crap and I am depressed. Can I stop taking it without withdrawals? I hate that med.
Please lower it slowly with guidance from a professional. I get hating psychiatrists, but it's safest. And don't ever stop it, the withdrawals suck ass.
@Rich-po2hl as it Alters your sleep patterns it also has an effect on your moods, which can create more problems with those around you. Side effects are often mistaken for something else entirely. Again everyone has different reactions to different meds. If it works for you great, but after stopping this medication, for me was a Wake up little Suzi moment. I wish you well.
I get the serotonin syndrome-> muscle rigidity, is this dangerous? Can it cause more harm? Because I need it for sleeping and it heightens my mood which is very great before falling asleep. I also take Ritalin (retarded version) 25mg for my ADHD. Is it dangerous? My doctors don't really know or care if it's a danger, that's why I am asking here
This drug saved my life! Best drug out there for ptsd/sleep/anxiety
How many milligrams do you take? I am afraid of side effects. Thank you.

Feel the same, l don't know about your situation, but l stopped them before I told doctor not to refill it.
IT did not help me, made me feel awful.

Can we get erectile dysfunction due to this?
This drug gave me nightmares. I couldn't take it.
Me too, but the nightmares aren't as bad as my daymares.
I did too. I wish I was one of those who have been helpful.
I had heart rhythm disturbance. Already have SVT.
