Hi bryce! I will do my top 10 modern metal bands. I guess you could argue that some of them aren't modern but in the end they are. Because some band formed in 80s but made their best music in the 2000s. Tool Opeth Dream theater Symphony x Between the burried and me Haken Meshuggah Power trip Thankyou scientist Primal fear. So there is alot of diversity in this list because there is some thrash, prog, djent, power metal and some jazz metal/avant garde metal in there. You could say some aren't modern like dream theater they formed in 85 in berkley music college on long island and but they inspired the most people and released their best material during the late 90s and 2000s. But I am not really a big fan of modern modern metal, like bands that formed in last decade from 2010-2021. Because they all sound kind of the same in my opinion. Anyways are you a fan of type o negative? If you dont know them they are known for playing goth metal and for the lead singer peter steele who was over 2 meters tall and had massive guns and a chest circumference of more than 50inches of pure muscle. He was a gentle giant (no pun intended especially if you know the prog band gentle giant) would be cool if I heard your opinion on them. rest in peace Peter Steele

And in my country the unique decent band of metal was Sepultura, there is no others nice bands of metal recently here... What do you think about New opportunities for New metal bands?
Depends, it’s pretty easy to get quick exposure nowadays with all the different sites and easy access... but with album sales being low it’s probably tough for them to make a living solely as a musician if they’re not decently big
Yeah, Skull Fist are Canadian, so there's gotta be some tongue in cheek stuff goin on. I think they sound like a modern version of Killer Dwarfs, also Canadian, and everyone in the band used the surname Dwarf. The singer Russ Dwarf was a hyperactive dude in his prime, a band Skull Fist heard of for sure. And of course the band Anvil. These guys should have a weekly show or podcast, it would be a barrel of laughs. A light hearted bunch of dudes who always were about having a few laughs.
