Your pit stop adventure was a blast to watch, Mark! The idea of hitting up a motorway service mid-run for a snack and drink - brilliant! It's like a pit stop in a Formula 1 race but with more chocolate bars, hehe. Looking forward to your bench and seat video idea!

Always a good idea to put in a pit stop to a long run Mark. Especially in these warmer conditions. Maybe the motorway service station was a bit too extravagant but I guess they had some fast food options there that could have been handy. Keep up the great work mate. 120 miles to even get to my nearest motorway but I have run through the forest to the ashgrove garage for an ice cream! Looking forward to benches/seats! Angela

Brilliant idea. I miss those roadway service stations in England and Scotland. They were great. But yes expensive. Still a good idea for a run.
Thanks! I keep forgetting you've spent time over here. Although people like to poke fun at the service stations, including the prices, we'd be lost without them.

Ive stopped at Tibshelf a few times. My local one is Corley services on the M6. Have stopped there on my bike a few times.
Ah, you're a bit of a service station connoisseur then, Stu! I don't think I'll be running to Corley any time soon :) I should have bought a bike with actual wheels!
Such a shame the 'Running to a Motorway Service Station' is going to end as a one-off niche episode. It had legs, as it were

Yes, the Service Station series was certainly cut off in its prime, sadly! The next actual motorway one nearest to me is Woodhall, just over a half marathon away. I'd be ready for a drink by then 😂
The benches idea could go either way. I'm not sure whether I'm excited or dreading it... I'm sure it'll be a laugh if nothing else.
Terrible idea if it takes you through uncleared paths.
Yes, I've had my fill of the overgrown routes now. I'll be avoiding them like the plague for the rest of the summer. I've ordered some more road shoes to keep me on the tarmac a bit more. Legs were itching like mad during this one.
