You may have restored my faith in P&O again Jamie. We went on Azura to the Caribbean for our 1st cruise way back in 2012 when it was only 18months old in its original splendour and had the best time. Really enjoyed watching your vidoes, keep them coming.

We were on the week before you guys really enjoyed it overall. Fantastic crew, good service, entertainment hit and miss, little to no queues at the bars until very late in the evenings, ie malabar and brodies. Favourite go to place on the ship, deck 18 and planet bar, Juan the pianist was taking requests, laughed my backside off when several went up and asked him , just play forget the singing, it was also the place for solo get togethers and the twice weekly lgbtq socials. After being back for 3 weeks , heard from P&O customer services, due to our cabins plumbing issue offered a big chunk of on board spends on the next booking good for 2 years. who needs a flushing loo or water in the bathroom,lololo.

Although I have never done a ocean cruise, I do enjoy your videos. If my maths is correct (math for our USA friends), your proportionate increase in subscribers is faster than any of your “peer group”. Well done !

Absolutely loved these vlogs. We took our first cruise on Azura over 10 years ago and watching your adventures has brought back some lovely memories. Gutted that apart from Single Ladies I did not get a single Pringle song. 🎤🤦🏽♀️

Agree with everything you said. I had a much more enjoyable experience on the Azura in the canaries than the Britannia in the the Caribbean. And it was a lot cheaper! 😊

I did this cruise for 2 weeks just before Christmas Im a solo traveller was impressed the way that staff took time to talk to me when able .Good food ,good entertainment .good weather. very enjoyable Going on Ventura in March.

I think we were disembarking as you joined the ship. It was a great cruise and the staff were excellent. We stayed onboard and barely went off. It was nice to have such a quiet ship when everyone else had disembarked. The free restaurants were great. We loved the planet bar. Malabar was also great.

We haven't even been on our first cruise yet (in August this year) and yet I'm already tempted to book on Azura after her refit in 2025 (though in term time so there's less kids). You clearly had a great time on this ship and things were made better with decent flights (ignoring the slight seating hiccup). It was lovely to see Mt Teide in all its glory. I was lucky enough to be able to walk to the summit before it was closed to the public but the trip up on the cable car is well worth it for anyone contemplating it. Your shots from the plane on return show how arid the southern part of the island is. There is no doubt, you are so right about
being able to travel outside of the school holiday season making a great difference. Retirement is wonderful as far as this is concerned😊😊. Looking forward to your next videos.

I visited Tenerife last year and throw dart in one of our TV show episode there. And I swear, the Canary Islands especially Tenerife are like a choose-your-own-adventure novel, except all the options are awesome.

Understand all the problems previously reference the flights and naturally people’s option of P&O because of that but I think overall the cruise part and flights on the majority of cruises are normally excellent and on all my cruises that I’ve experienced I’ve always had the greatest regard for the cruises I’ve taken with P&O so one bad apple doesn’t rot the whole bag !! Glad you had a good time and hopefully your faith is being restored
Alas, it’s how they deal with issues that makes a difference to my perspective of them and it was handled badly! But I can separate that from What was a different a very lovely Experience on Azura ❤️❤️❤️
@@TravelBlogJamie totally agree that it was handle disgustingly and we all hope a lesson has been learnt and P&O will never use crap airlines again but cruise experience alone is usually pretty good and really glad you showed how good the MDR was 👍
We did the Stargazing trip on our middle weekend- also nearly got cut in half by the cold wind at the photo stop! Worth it for the view though.

Yes I like an omelette for breakfast on board.
I noticed you had yours in the buffet. Although it's not on the breakfast menu in MDR you can order any type of omelette there.

Love your vlogs. For beginning of Nov would you recommend fly cruise on Azura ( inside cabin) or Northern Europe balcony room on Iona?
I’d choose the itinerary I wanted most (ie sun and warmth or colder city life)

Thanks for these videos Jamie. I'm booked on Azura in December '25, so post refit. 🙂 One question from a virgin cruiser. When viisiting ports. Do you need your passport with you to get on shore ?. Thanks again from a new subscriber.
You are sometimes asked to take them ashore and it depends on your port (ie in New York we had to show ours on arrival). My last 2 cruises I haven’t had to.

I dont know if this is where i should ask, but here goes.
We travel on Azura, 30th May out of Valletta, my daughter (28) has an eating disorder.
In the MDR or specialist restaurant, if i order off menu can she order something else, ie a pizza? Or do you know is there a kids menu and could she order off this ? Or do we both have to eat separately. Thank you
You’d need to alert the restaurant manager as soon as you board to meet and discuss needs - they can accommodate all needs for sure
