I've seen very little from this ship, so really enjoyed this one Rach! First up, I didn't realise Aurora's capacity wasn't even 2,000 - wow - she's tiny compared to the newest P&O additions! Great to hear that the service onboard was so good - sounds like a great little cruise!
Thank you Fraser 🙂 I loved this ship and really made me realise how much I prefer the smaller ships, I feel a little overwhelmed on the bigger ones so it was nice to feel more at home. It was such a great cruise they all want me to book fir next year 😂
Great video Rach! Really fair comments and scores. We’ve booked onto Aurora for next April, just after the refit it seems. Very excited. Seems much more of a date night ship 😁😍
Ahh we were thinking of booking again next year after the refit again, definitely a good date night ship with lots of intimate little areas to eat and drink (not that I saw any of these with the motly crew) Thank you for watching 🙂
The carpet tells you which side of the ship your own…they also brought unique area work which is also done to act as location markers .. so we get to know it’s red carpet side and left past the picture of a ..dog sort of thing … Back when Aurora was built it was based on the old popular Canberra style…no atrium as such…back then individual rooms/ bars were popular. Bathroom yes it’s dated
We just come back yesterday from fjord cruise on iona ,lovely ship but too big ,i think the aurora would be great for us ,enjoyed watching this thanks 😊
No we didn't but we were so lucky to have the great weather, loved the ports ,we thought the gift shops were a bit expensive but was a great holiday, iona just to big for us
We enjoyed the video as we were last on the Aurora in 2019 but our first cruise was on her was in 2002. We are going on Friday for 19 nights so will let you know what we think. Hopefully better than Arvia!!! Hope you guys are all okay. Ray and Lin x
Thank you Ray, there’s just something I really love about the older P&O fleet give me aurora and Ventura over Arvia any day haha, the smaller ships just feel so much more personal. Have an amazing cruise 🙂. Rachael x
Re daytime activities, I go to the guest lectures on board, and to the wonderful playhouse cinema, and to the classical concerts , perhaps being as yours was such a short cruise some of these things were not on. I am next on Aurora 25th April for 19 nights. My favourite ship along with QM2 Did not like Arvia.
Yes as it was such a short cruise time was limited as were things to do onboard, had I been on my own I would have definitely attended some of the lectures although believe there was only one on our cruise. Quite agree I loved aurora not so much Arvia 🙂 thank you for watching
Great review, nice to hear that at least some of the issues P&O have on their larger ships is better on here. I do feel like the entertainment across the board needs to improve.
Thanks for watching 🙂, yes I’m just glad we had a large group and made much of our own entertainment, I unfortunately didn’t film a group of people playing with a bag of malteasers and measuring tape (make of that as you wish 😂)

Thanks for watching and don’t forget that like button 😁
Great to see Rachel! Totally agree regarding draws in cabins, P&O totally overlooked this feature on Arvia and Iona!
As always thank you for watching 🙂 you know me it’s all about the draws!! Anne best have them 😂
Excellent review Rach. Good to have the best of the 4B’s back! Good to see a review on a smaller ship. Looks nice and traditional! Great work.
Thank you for watching James and the kind words 🙂

We're booked on Aurora in 2 weeks' time, first cruise for us both. It looks like just the ship for us in terms of size etc. Looking forward to it! 😃
Hey, thanks for watching. Always exciting first cruise, have a fantastic time
A little tip, if your suitcase will not fit under the bed, open it then it should slide under with ease.
I tried this unfortunately it didn’t work, it’s a very big hard shell so it just raised the bed lol
My favourite ship. Been on Azusa, Ventura, Britannia and Arcadia. Back on Aurora in August for the third time.
@@cherrycross1504 we agree probarly our favourite as a couple! Have a great cruise in August

Thanks for watching , noted for the next time I’m onboard 🙂
As an oldie I love this ship. I have cruised on Azura, Ventura and Britannia before but the Aurora beats them hands down for me.
We loved our cruise on Aurora! Thanks for watching
Looking forward to this one!
