I am not sure why I feel this way but I am getting the feeling that older smaller ships seem to suit you more. This is a very much less stressed and more relaxed you than when you are vlogging from the larger newer ships.

Just after "Camare de Lobos"(I think) you showed some houses with greenery going up the side of the hill. When I spent a week on Madeira and went for a coach trip round the island, I was amazed at the VERTICAL gardens up the sides of the hills. They did not have garden paths - it was ladders attached to the walls for them to access each terrace. Incredible! Thank you, yet again, for showing me memories of places I have visited over many years. ❤❤
What a fun video, yet again! I had no idea that Funchal was so big....I always had this vision of it being a small town, but it is so big and beautiful with all the greenery and mountains. Must go there now! Oh, and Matthew is a trip! He's not a man of many words (on video), but his facial expressions say (and reveal) more than enough!!!! Love it!

That was great Jamie. We’re hoping to be off to Madeira in 4 weeks time for the third time so it was good to see it looking good. It’s a lovely place. Really like the look of Azura. It doesn’t bother me that it is old as long as it’s clean and the staff and food are good. I also like the size of it. Feels like there’s a nice ambiance. Enjoy your next one!
Brilliant vlog Jamie, looks absolutely brilliant. The food looked delish. The cabin looks brilliant, can just imagine relaxing on the balcony with a drink on hand. Me and Daniel are like you and Maffoo we love our rooms to be artic temperatures. I would definitely want to do the toboggan ride (I remember Susan Calman doing it in one of her cruise episodes. I would love it on the catamaran as I love rough seas here from travelling on Calmac Ferries here in Scotland and The Maid of the Forth boat in my birth town of South Queensferry (just down from where I stay now) when I took Daniel to Inchcolm Island. Looking forward to the next vlog Jamie.

What a wonderful day in Madeira! If you had not taken that unexpected excursion on the catamaran, you would never have seen those out of the way funicular and stunning views!! We had a 16 night cruise to Madeira & the Canary Islands aboard the Aurora the weather was so rough that we could not land at Madeira so we missed exploring this beautiful Island. Great Vlogg Jamie you have surpassed yourself just gets better & better. Carry on cruising.

I love Madeira, such a lovely island and the best Botanical Gardens I know. Glad you enjoyed Epicurean, it is everything you said perfect service and wonderful food. I rather like the outside terrace on the Ventura version, dining on a Caribbean evening under the sailcloth awning is perfect.
Just realised one of the reasons why i enjoy your blogs so much more than others - your very steady camera technique!! I am lucky enough not to EVER suffer from sea/travel sickness but some bloggers have a tendency to whip the camera from side to side, up and down etc., which eventually results in me having a form of motion sickness and have to stop watching. Hold on - should that be 'me' or 'my' ? Anyway - well done. Just one final comment: hang on to the day job, i don't think the Pringle singing will work. 😊

And I LOVE Madeira - I stayed way over on the edge of Funchal - it's a long walk in and goodness me, a gazillion hotels - with the worst airport arrival in the world lol - best to arrive by sea by far! When did you travel because the food selection you got seems slightly better. We travelled in Jan. 4:29 when we tried Java we got told to sit down then nobody ever came to take our order i just had the free coffee at the buffet which was fine

I always ask customer services. I’d rather fly to canaries otherwise it’s 3 sea days there and back - that doesn’t work for us for leave. We were in the ship by 3.30pm.

Was on this cruise 2 weeks ago. The ship is very tired and rooms could do with an update. Food was ok, quality was good quantity in the evening was not good, e.g steak and 6 chips! Appreciate you can as for more but really. Breakfast in Peninsular was again ok but waited ages for refills on tea and coffee, unlike other cruises where this was a constant refill. Drinks on board very reasonable and a good choice if you are on the classic package. Entertainment was good, Headliners, Soul singer and girls Motown group were very good.
Check out the travel day vlog and last part as they have all the info there (I don’t remember the flight times other than morning flight out and afternoon flight back)

I’d absolutely recommend a battery pack, yes. You’d also need an ultimate wifi package to support gaming (so expect to pay more, unfortunately)

Improvements for sure
Was on this cruise 2 weeks ago. The ship is very tired and rooms could do with an update. Food was ok, quality was good quantity in the evening was not good, e.g steak and 6 chips! Appreciate you can as for more but really. Breakfast in Peninsular was again ok but waited ages for refills on tea and coffee, unlike other cruises where this was a constant refill. Drinks on board very reasonable and a good choice if you are on the classic package. Entertainment was good, Headliners, Soul singer and girls Motown group were very good.
Our experience was fabulous, thankfully

The cable car ride up I would be white knuckles and eyes closed but I think I would do it 🤣
