Just wanted to point out that in the second city example the grox pasture does give a +20% to all adjacent tiles but it is already listed on the those tiles. The tile that the city was placed on showed a total of +30% food. If you look at the tile itself it lists its features: savanna (+10% energy), river (+10% food), forest (-1 building slot, +10 ore). It gets the extra +20% food from being adjacent to the grox pasture bringing the total to +30% food (river + grox adjacent bonus). It also has +20% influence from the weapon trader tile being adjacent. When you looked at the top bar it showed 3.8 from features. You can break down the 3.8 to 1.8 from the city itself getting only a 30% bonus plus 2 from the flat amount the grox pasture gives. There is the additional +20% listed on the grox pasture itself and it is only used if you capture that tile with a city tile acquisition. Turning that tile into a city tile will then give that entire city and all its captured tiles the +20% to food not only to adjacent tiles resulting in a +50% food for that starting city location (river + grox adjacent + grox city tiled).
What you're saying is correct, but since this can be confusing I'll resummarize. In summary, the pasture special feature provides 3 resource bonuses: +2 food to Empire (when captured via outpost) [see tooltip of pasture tile] +20% food bonus to all city tiles (when inside a city) [see tooltip of pasture tile] +20% food to adjacent tiles (automatic) [see tooltips of adjacent tiles] What makes this extra confusing is that the compendium doesn't list the adjacency bonus for special features. But, sometimes the adjacency bonus happens to be identical to the city bonus, so it looks like it's listed. For anyone who picks up this game in 2024, the wiki is a better place to find out all the bonuses that special features actually provide. BTW, this game is still cranking out DLC all these years later, which is why I'm still playing it. May it live forever, lol.
Of all the guides for Gladius, yours are the ones i understand the best, which sucks cuz there are so few youve made. Man, id LOVE more of your style guides, maybe some faction specific stuff, synergies, whatever you can think of to make it so the AI isnt thrashing us in the introduction mode 😂
Thank you. First two minutes of this video has given me more information than Ingame with tips. The % bonuses thing really confused me. Wasn’t sure if global or for only buildings built there.

@@thagomizer8485 What the fuck? You can take as much time to read the popping up tip as you need before taking another action. By the Emperor, thank you!! This game is great, but man it doesn't do a great job of explaining its systems. This video alone is gonna make my games a little easier.

These videos are amazing and this game is literally on FIRE right now. Can't deny it, best 40k game ever made. #2. Vt.... Please make a new video with how to rush the Lemon Russ and win the game
I didn't know about adjacency bonuses so thank you. I would like to have tips to improve influence, and loyalty. Also is it worth it to rush influence gaining items from the trader so you can buff up your heros? What factions are more dangerous late game? What strategies should you use as the neurons or non space marine humans? Is an artillery rush feasible with good heroes? What falls off at what point etc. Sorry if it's a bit much but I'm new and very curious about alot of this. Experienced players tend to know alot of the little things you can't find on Google.
Really new to this game, just starting with some friends. These kind of games are important to understand specifics. On the space marine faction, the fortress of redemption...Does it matter building next to an outpost? It seems like just having a unit "tag" it, result in the resources (such as an ore field). No need for a fortress, right? So what resources should I look for, the general +20% this +30% that (to me it doesn't seem like this is transferring back to the home base)? OR should I look for specific additions, such as 2 loyalty (note the lack of "%")?
you can just tag it, but i think the enemy can overtake it if you tag it whereas if you connect it with the fort, it wont be overtaken by others tagging it. Edit: Also, they will provide the percentage benefits to you as if your city occupies it.
The Fortress of Redemption claims the resource it's next to, giving both the flat resource amount (e.g. +2 energy) and the % resource amount (e.g. +20% energy) to the Space Marines' city. The % amount applies to all of the city's production.
So, where are the faction guides? I tried looking in the channel but there is no gladius playlist and searching on youtube gives only this result as guides go...
Don't buy it. It's first and foremost a 4X combat game. Every other major 4X feature is considerably lacking, its the 40K aesthetic and theme that tides it over. If you're not already a big fan of 4X, this probably won't do it for you.
I disagree entirely that you have to be a big fan of 4X. I am not a fan of 4X at all, the only game in the genre I've played is Civ and I always hated the democracy/religion/culture side of it. All I wanted was a tile and turn based game where I could build an army and go to war - this game is just that. I fucking love it.
Necrons, 'Nids, Tau probably for the first time in a turn-based game. Plus it's 4x but overwhelmingly about the fighting! I've been massively impressed by how many of a faction's signature units are playable. I'm more a tactics player than a 4x game (can't stand Civ and have never been able to overcome that). I enjoyed the Age of Wonder series, and Fallen Enchantress series, and this is more in line with those. Just don't buy it at full price if you can. There's no need to!
It's maybe the best 4x game out there right now in my opinion. It might not have the complexity of other games of its genre, but inatead every single game mechanic in this is thought through and works as it should (AI for examplwe). Can't go wrong with this imo. Lots of replayability, too.
I hope this game SURVIVE first month without disaster like Inquisitor Martyr because i like turn based games like that but i after Inquisitor Martyr i will be more careful with spending money on Indie company + Warhammer franchise ( 10 years without good game :/ ) . Hope they will sell maybe for £10 DLC with Tyranides and Chaos but for now game is going to "wish list" on STEAM :p
Inquisitor Martyr is not a disaster … it's a loot-based action RPG. I can remember a game of this kind launched without flaws. Those game need time to mature. This is even more true with Inquisitor Martyr that was meant to get content over time. Loot-based action RPG are repetitive and grindy by essence … I love Loot-based action RPG and don't know much the W40K licence and I found the game pretty good and enjoyable. I'm sure it will be lot more enjoyable in a few month with more content and balance ! Emperor protects !
@@D00M3R-SK8 Inquisitor has had a huge overhaul that completely changed the game for the better. It's the best ARPG I've ever played after the newest updates.
