Such a great video! I honestly have to admit though, the story of the Defias Brotherhood is one of the best and tragic I know and maybe for a part, because I experienced it as a character and was part of it and it was only revealed step by step to me who Van Cleef really was, after I killed him and what is the true story of all this. It was such an amazing story to me. Cataclysms new story was okay to me. But it was tragic that we just again killed his daughter and nothing else, or believed to. Nothing came from it all again. They just rose up once more. Led by the daughter. Just this. What destroyed the whole thing for me at all, was that Vanessa was suddenly alive and fine in Legion, we got no knowledge about the brotherhood and her just as a person at this dumb table in the rogue order hall. No... for all the great and amazing storytelling they once had, they threw everything overboard to me these days.
I never liked the Vanessa story-line, and the Brotherhoods reemergence in general. It very felt forced and unrealistic. Especially considering how well substantiated the original organization was. Blizz revived the corpse of one of the cooler antagonists in the game just to do them a disservice by half-assing it imo.
I'm actually not rly a fan of traditional lore videos either lol. Glad you liked it. Ill probably do a lot more of these half serious half satirical videos down the line.
Oh wow youre actually right. Good catch. Was sure it was added in at the same time as flying mounts in Azeroth and all the big world changes in Cata, but apparently not.
It was actually Lady Katrana Prestor (Onyxia) who played both sides by making negotiations between stonemasons and nobles impossible. Nobles offered X-amount of money and Prestor would lie and say nobles offered Y-amount of money. Then stonemasons demanded x-amount of money and prestor lied they wanted y-amount of money.
Nice video! I love lore videos, but usually watch them for information and most are boring. This was educational and fun! :D Just like school should have been,.
Thank you. And yeah i did some last minute tweaks to audio, but underestimated a few areas of the soundtrack that were already on the cusp of being too loud prior to doing that. Ill be more careful next time.

I know "____ did nothing wrong" is just considered a meme at this point, but this guy actually did not do anything wrong. All he wanted was to unionize his workforce and get paid what he was owed.
Garrosh empowered himself with the residue of an old god because hes an egomaniacal war monger. Vancleef wasn't paid for literally rebuilding Stormwind.
Your content is pretty good. You should put more effort into making thumbnails, thumbnails are 99% of the game on youtube. You need to make something people want to click. Hit me up if u want, I can show you the theory behind a good thumbnail.

Could've mentioned the whole involvement of Onyxia while you were at it. I mean she was quite influential on the decision of not paying Vancleef.
Yeah i probably should've highlighted her but at the end of the day shes one noble of many.
