I think it's an excellent game, and an excellent RPG and Star Wars entry. HOWEVER, I don't think it's the "high point" of the franchise. Star Wars, as a franchise, is a Space Opera. Its purpose is to sweep audiences up in grand themes of heroism, struggle, and redemption, all set against the backdrop of a vibrant, otherworldly galaxy. It’s the emotional highs and lows, the thrilling battles, heart-wrenching losses, and triumphant victories, that people remember most, even when some plot points may seem improbable. Imo, Star Wars shines when it’s treated as mythic storytelling, not necessarily a universe that has to abide by real-world rules but one that adheres to the internal logic of its epic, space-faring adventure. KOTOR 2 is *not* that, it a far more sombre and philosophically reflective piece, much more mystical and introspective. That's fine, it's actually really awesome, and a great game. But the high of the SW franchise? Sorry, I don't agree.

kotor2 did some things really well from the beginning a) it didnt treat its customers like idiots b) knew that if your product is good, you dont have to rely heavily on nostaligia and stereotypes

Man I loved this quest! I took them out one at a time, being really careful to not be seen and even when it was just me and the Dark Elf girl left she was like "we have to get out, now! Let's go upstairs and climb out the window, hurry!" and I was like "yeah, thats not gonna happen, sweetie." I think there was an option to tell the last guest that you were the murderer; I remember her begging for her life? But it was so long ago, idk. Sure, you had to RP abit because of the limitations, and it was really morbid.. But so much fun!

I"ve always stated and this is my controversial Star Wars opinion. Is that the EU Legends which also includes Kotor 1 and 2 have always been better than the films. Simple answer, because they are movies, live action for that matter. When it comes to a book or a video game. You have a lot more room to explore when it comes to world building, character development, stronger storylines, much darker/complex/controversial themes. And giving much more detail that live action movies simple just can't do. And Disney Star Wars in general is garbage, Fuck Disney Star Wars.

This game made star wars for me. The story this game had was only matched by the incredible voice acting it had. To this day I don't think I have ever 'felt' every word that a character has said anywhere else to this day. And the music was a masterpiece that fit each scene perfectly.

They are very smart, but they are too concentrated on inventions, so they suck in political science.

It was actually Lady Katrana Prestor (Onyxia) who played both sides by making negotiations between stonemasons and nobles impossible. Nobles offered X-amount of money and Prestor would lie and say nobles offered Y-amount of money. Then stonemasons demanded x-amount of money and prestor lied they wanted y-amount of money.

Just for the record, the team at obsidian that made this would later make fallout new Vegas. Another title considered the best in its franchise. That crew was god tier developers.

You missed a rare spawn outside the dungeon in WC. I killed a night elf there the other day who dropped a lvl 16 2H axe called Boahn's Fang.

I think if we assume that the player characters were actually SI:7 agents or something of the likes that a cheap assassination of van'cleef was entirely possible, Shaw has been shown to work outside the influence of the guard and nobles, most of if not all of van'cleefs forces are untrained militia themselves, with van'cleef being described as a "brawler in his younger years" not exactly the most competent fighter from that description. I think even with everything youve pointed out Shaw comes out ahead regardless.

There's actually 3 rarespawns that drop blues near WC/the first one in your vid. Go into WC and right outside the instance portal are 2 more. One is in the pool of water directly across from the portal and can drop a blue mail belt with 8 str or a 13 dps 1H axe both blue. If you're facing the portal and go left you can find Boahn who drops an awesome 2H Axe with a ton of crit rating for the level. Boahn can be in a few spots but always left of the portal.

You forgot about the Goblin outside Uldaman who can drop rare 1 handed and rare helmet which gives +7 axe skill.. look him up.

i do hope they do a quest similar to this in starfield or es6, great on surface, maybe more bigger area and unique ways to kill each person

This is so good. I prefer to play modes with miniscule health and no meta-guns, that way "1 shot" means he's already dead. When I'm in a BR lobby, I know damn well, he's not "1 shot" he's bloody 30+ and he's been practicing BR since he was a toddler, which usually wasn't too long ago, either.

I’ve been wanting this since the idea of classic came up. No reason blizzard can’t make servers of a continuation like old school RuneScape did. If it flops, just get rid of the servers. But I doubt it would.

I noticed a good amount of mistakes there and there, for example, the Kingdoms were not made by people who went away from Arathor, they were made by the tribes which already lived there and broke away from Stormguard/Arathor, therefore the city of Stormguard was also named Stromguard long before the empire of Arathor collapsed. Another mistake is, Orgrim Doomhammer did not lead the horde in the 1st war, it was Blackhand who did, Orgrim led it during the 2nd war, but overall you confuse first and 2nd war a lot. As for all you say about Alterac betraying the Alliance, you solly focus on saying how Alterac was bad to do it, and not on how the Alliance badly treated them most of the time which led to them losing faith in the frist place. As for my thoughts on Alterac, i think this Kingdom should be rebuilt in wow and the alteracci humans should be an allied race for the horde, they are so interesting.

Aww, memories. I made a save point before this quest and did it so many times to see all the outcome. This is one of the best quests in the game.
