brainstorming here, but how about the Royal Scarlet Crusade? A new entity with a new aesthetic inspired by the original scarlet crusade that died out over the expansions. The complete opposite and counter to the legion in a way. Imagine a new zone with all new artwork inspired by the scarlet monastery, and the living side of Stratholme. Complete with military ranks and a new King. Maybe a new dedicated castle with a town. The amount of lore that blizzard could create out of this would be huge. Maybe enough for a new expansion or at least a new faction + zone. Kinda getting sick of all these recent satan worshipping legion expansions that are purely dedicated to warlocks and demon hunters. Too many expansions dealing with the shadows and shit. It's time to receive the Holy Light. The Royal Scarlet Crusade = the Hammer of Justice. With golden plate wearing battle mages, inquisitor priests and upgraded paladins. Maybe some new moves and new legendary Mage / priest abilities. Imagine a plate wearing battle mage that uses a combination of holy fire + regular fire with the ability to heal lightly. The horde is no match against Divine Justice.
this shit was fire dude... much of the games lore and connection between factions and specific NPC's is under appreciated. Would love to see more content like this floating around! great work
Well Dohan was actually a friend of Alexandros Mograin and was part of meeting in Old Hillsbrad. Renault and Alexandros had kind of an stressed relationship. Alexandros prefered Darius over Renault. Actually the dreadlord that controlled Dathroan (the Grand crusader) manipulated Renault to kill his father. In the era of classic the leaders of the crusade were Isillien (Questchain with Tirion and went kinda insane ), Dathrohan (scarlet strath + possesed by a dreadlord) and Abbendis (Who went kinda insane too). And well the crusade had a lot of inpact in the plaguelands, lorewise they had a lot of sections over in their hand and made farmland to trusted farmers possible. Im gonna stop here, Damn Im a nerd.
As mentioned i wanted to keep this video fixated on the bosses of the Monastery itself. But yeah I am aware that technically the real leader of the Crusade is Dathrohan in Stratholme, with Abbendis and Isillien seemingly right behind him. Kinda hard to nail down the exact chain of command. . While the Crusade did have some land under their control (stuff they mostly managed not to lose to the undead, not exactly impressive conquests) over the course of the next expansions they lose almost every single ounce of it. Tyrs Hand literally became a Death Knight training area for a time lol. As far as Renault being manipulated, whether or not he knew Dathrohan was secretely a demon is irrelevent to me. Guy killed his own Father, who was a legit legend of not only the crusade but the silver hand as well. Very few people in the entire organization, even outside SM, are remotely competent. Were both nerds.
This is fucking great dude, I started playing clasic wow just for the lore, but quest are writen such a shity way thats its confusing, not mension that when I do dung theres 4 more dungeon rushers in group which makes thing stressful. Then I go into net seek info, and i find wiki or that noble guy which strats talk about fucking deamons, goes back in time to the era of orcs being a slaves, Im like WHAT?. You do cool show of the guy so i know which one is the guy (I was actually laughing at the dog guy, because in dung I was like: Are you sure this is the boss?) . Great stuff I appreciate the effort of these lore vids theyre awesome to me. Wish you good luck. Some tagging might help so ppl like me do find this thing easier for example: Wow classic lore, story, Scarlet crusade dungeon lore etc.

The best thing about wow for me is the lore, and i can be real easy to miss these kinds of things sometimes. Especially nowadays like you said where groups blast though content before you even know whats going on.
I mean, the Scarlet Crusade basically looked at Garithos and said "hey you know that guy who is basically responsible for the loss of all alliance territory in Lordaeron? The dude responsible for the Blood Elves joining the Horde? Let's do things exactly like he did!" Yeah... That worked out about as well as you would think. Granted, there's no "direct" link between Garithos and the Scarlet Crusade, but they share the exact same motivations: If it's not human, it's not worthy.
