You missed one, there is a stealthed gnoll who spawns in a small cave in the east parts of redridge mountains, near Lieutnant Fangore, who drops a really nice blue dagger.
Got this dagger while questing with my Rogue (also my first character). My bro Rohh scared the absolute sh*t out of me and my friend, and when he dropped the dagger we flipped. That thing served me in my main hand through my 20s and early 30s, and then my offhand until level 40. I keep it in my bank because of the absolute legend that it is
Really liked your straight forward content oriented approach to this video. No fuss, no mess, short intro, right to the point, would love to see more content of this kind in the future!
Informative content presented purely from a gameplay perspective with no unnecessary tangents? That's pretty much unheard of, and you got my sub for it.
Short and to the point. All i would want is some knowledge on the items. for example if they are better or worse than a equal level dungeon or quest drop.
@@Arkae I'd love to have a video to check for comparison but its inefficient af. A google.doc linked to it would not increase the length of the video but still offer the comparison option. Win-win?
Couple more I can think of are Boahan, who patrols just outside the Wailing caverns and drops a 2h blue axe. And Nimar the Slayer, a Troll in the big troll camp near Hamnerfall. He drops a blue cape with agility and strength iirc.
I wish i knew man. Its fine though im just gonna put out stuff i would enjoy watching myself, and i think more subs will come. Or not lmao. Ty for the support.
He's only 5-months in. Just a matter of views and "people who watch x also watched..." happening, b/c yea everyone commenting here is noticing what you have.
Because he sounds like a highschool student standing in front of class and excitedly reading out his report on whatever subject he finds interesting...a sort of saccharine exuberance.
A few pointers: Some unique greens are exceptionally good for their level range, like "Naraxis' Fang" (lvl:22/ilvl:27 poisonous dagger), "Black Widow Band" (lvl:19 twink ring, +7int), "Ghoulfang" (lvl:14 2H sword with powerful proc) and "Tidal Charm" (lvl:36 trinket, 3sec stun, you keep it for the whole iteration of vanilla) to name a few. I also think you might missed a few blue items, like "Blackvenom Blade", a super fun item to acquire, as the mob that holds it engages in stealth and tries to ambush you (~200 uncrit dmg backstab if he opens on you). I would also argue that you should use any kind of good weapon you find if you are a melee class. Regardless I really liked this video and your editing, I'd love to see a new video with the best green unique world rare drops :) Edit: fixed typos.
Thanks Che, and yeah i missed a few mobs unfortunately. They are all pinned at the top now, including the Gnoll you've mentioned. Doing another video for notable greens is definitely a possibility.
Just a slight aside. High-level randomly enchanted greens can be the best items you can get for next to nothing. If you can get the right enchantment, they can fill some gaps in your gear, particularly for those item slots that have low drop chances, or that can be used by multiple classes, so you can keep losing the roll.
Not sure if they fall in different category, but you also have the 3 rare mobs spawning in the Dire Maul arena, though they dont have a specific blue item they drop they do always drop blue items by random
be *especially* on the watch out for Chan's Imperial Robes They have a very sought after spider design, shared by very few robes. The color of Chan's Imperial Robes however is shared by robes that drop in Naxx. That's 5 phases where these golden spider robes will be a completely unique and eye catching look for all cloth wearers!
You said there were exceptions, but just expanding on that: Blue items in general are not common, rare mob or otherwise, at lower levels. Even in lower dungeons many of the bosses still drop some green items. Because of that, there are a number of green items from rares that are very much desired for their green items. The immediate one in my mind is Nimar's Headdress, a green circlet from a rare enemy in Arathi Highlands. Whitemane's Chapeau is better, but requires you to run SM Cath, which many people will pair up with Armory to get a tank to join, and possibly competing on the roll with other casters. Where as Nimar's Headdress is "close enough" on stats and can potentially be found much quicker. It is worth pointing out because if you look at caster cloth head items, there really isn't much better than Whitemane's until Mara/ST except perhaps a tailoring item like Dreamweave. Not that I suggest farming Nimar's, however if you happen across this NPC early on and get the item and don't plan on farming for Whitemane's, it will likely last you until level 54 or so, perhaps even longer. Not bad for a green item from Arathi Highlands.
I dont disagree. Theres a degree of diminishing returns when it comes to acquiring certain items. Sometimes its better to just settle with a lower tier item and not waste time trying to get the hypothetically 10% better variant. That being said, the purpose of this video isnt really about what items make the most sense to obtain, based on time and longevity. More about making people aware of certain items existence period. I excluded prominent greens from this list because theyve been covered to death from what ive seen.
There's actually 3 rarespawns that drop blues near WC/the first one in your vid. Go into WC and right outside the instance portal are 2 more. One is in the pool of water directly across from the portal and can drop a blue mail belt with 8 str or a 13 dps 1H axe both blue. If you're facing the portal and go left you can find Boahn who drops an awesome 2H Axe with a ton of crit rating for the level. Boahn can be in a few spots but always left of the portal.
Good video. Wished you would’ve read the stats on the items and spent a little more time on each explaining who might use the item (twink, good tank item for XYZ dungeon, etc). I usually listen to these videos, so reading the stats would help a lot for that
Thanks Aaron. And yeah i get that but i wanted to keep this video short and all that would make it significantly longer. Ultimately most ppl arent going to be finding more than a couple of this items relevant to them.

I looked into respawn times for the mobs and found that many ranges provided are just absurdly large. It didnt feel accurate enough to warrant inclusion. Youre right, including the weapon/items appearance would've been a nice touch. Will probably do that in the future.
