Dolphin is a free and open-source video game console emulator for GameCube and Wii[27] that runs on Windows, Linux, MacOS, and Android.[28]
It had its inaugural release in 2003 as freeware for Windows. Dolphin was the first GameCube emulator that could successfully run commercial games. After troubled development in the first years, Dolphin became free and open-source software and subsequently gained support for Wii emulation. Soon after, the emulator was ported to Linux[29] and macOS.[30] As mobile hardware got more powerful over the years, running Dolphin on Android became a viable option.
Dolphin has been well received in the IT and video gaming media for its high compatibility, steady development progress, the number of available features, and the ability to play games with graphical improvements over the original consoles.
Dolphin was first released in September 2003[31] by Swedish programmer Henrik Rydgård (ector) and developer F|RES[1][2] as an experimental GameCube emulator that could boot up and run commercial games. Audio was not yet emulated, and the overall performance quality was very poor. Many games crashed on start up or barely ran at all; average speed was from 2 to 20 frames per second (FPS). Its name refers to the development code name for the GameCube.[32]
Dolphin was officially discontinued temporarily in December 2004, with the developers releasing version 1.01 as the final version of the emulator.[33] The developers later revived the project in October 2005.[34]

Where do you get the games? I can't publish that on RUclips because RUclips removes any links to those websites and I only use games I have obtained through dumping my own disks. Try Reddit
Why don't you make more videos on Dolphin anymore? Well these videos take a lot of time to make and when I made a few videos, they were block in certain countries and put to a limited ads. Which means I can no longer justify making these videos anymore. I love helping people out but I got to eat as well. thank you to every body who has liked commented and subscribed on my videos. I love you all and hopefully one day I can get back to making this kind of content again.
How do you play Skyward Sword with an Xbox Controller? Skyward Sword is motion plus which I don't recommend or cannot get working properly with Dolphin just yet.

For my personal tilt option, I put
Left: "Right X-" (Right stick)
Right: "Right X+" (Right stick)(so you can control the seesaw now), plus
1: `Button X`|`Shoulder L` (Right click on 1 and add Operators "|")(so you can hold L to dash)
2: `Button A`|`Shoulder R` (so you can jump)
Now if you are on a seesaw, it will be look like
Left thumb: D pad (Move)
Left index: Shoulder L (Dash)
Right thumb: Right stick (Jump)
Right index: Shoulder R (Tilt)

@@Haddley333 I use right trigger and shoulder. Also recommend switching his 1 and 2 settings to make it easier to hold run while jumping.

For the forgotten Tilt option use Left and Right Triggers. Works well with Phazon UI

this works well with just the gamecube controller set up. no need to set it up in the wii remote emulator format

I set the controllers as you said, but It's really off as I actually play the game or even a modded version of the game, the controls are very off.
What I mean: I like to move using the d-pad, but in the game, I have to press up to move forward and down to move back. I would like to move left or right to go forward or backwards instead.
I just tried this and my controls are super off.....couldn't move, couldn't dash, etc. wanted left stick for movement, X for dash, A for Jump, right (or left trigger) for twirl. on the title screen everything works.....either that or my controller is screwed (if it is, so much for playing lego star wars skywalker saga on PC)
gave it another try, up is right, down is left. X is nothing, and a is jump......rage quit. guess I'll just play the actual console.

Best to put them as the shoulder buttons. You can change that at the motion functions.

Note: on my controller, the "L" trigger is broken (my PC can't take input from the L trigger anymore after it was damaged)
use right trigger for powerslides and left shoulder button for item release

@@FeelFreeToThink Yeah! DS games run very smoothly on my PC, sadly my PC has a very old opengl version (and is running pretty low on storage, at about 25-30 GB), so i can't play 3ds games. Despite that i did get my hands on a Gameboy advance emulator and i played some really nostalgic games :)

This was a big help in getting the game running for me. I don't suppose you know of a good setup for playing Spider-Man: Web of Shadows? It's really head scratching trying to work out how to map the motion controls to a controller.

Xinput is basically the input method used by Xbox controllers. You don't need a separate video for that.

for me its says exstention controller not suported
Some games will not start with an unsupported extension controller selected, go to Wiimote/configure/extension, then change the extension or set it to none.
I set my Xbox One Controllers D-Pad to the ones in the Emulator but when I try and use them in game, it doesn’t register
nice tutorial however when i try to pick up object which is "1+ remote shake" it doesn't want to work my "1" is set to the shift key and the shake remote is setted to be my space bar when i hold shift and space it should allow me to hold object but it doesn't work

Use the classic controller extension
Something is up with my d-pad. When I go up it goes left, when I go down it goes right, when I go left it goes up, when I go right it goes down. How do I fix this?
Did you click sideways box at the bottom right? If so might have to look at the dpad from a right angle point of view and assign accordingly.

How do you set it up to play tomb raider underworld or tomb raider anniversary for wii i got both a dual shock 4 controller and a xbox series x controller i somewhat set my ps4 controller up to play wii games but on tomb raider underworld it says press z to go into combat mode then press b to fire your weapons but it's not working

Download the latest beta version. Don't download the stable version. Also this video is 2 years old now. I'll be updating them at the beginning of next year.

When I do this in Batocera on my PC through dolphin, it defaults back to the setup by dolphin. It only seems to work when I tested. When I close the configuration dolphin app, it goes back to the default. It seems the only game that will play right away is Mario kart on the Wii. If I try to play anything else, my controller does not work at all, I can only back out using start and select. I'm using sn30 pro + controller.
The same happened to me on android. Playing on note 20 ultra. And on neo bomberman. Next time I open it, it doesn't work.

Hello, thank you for the video. I've got an issue, on the configuration menue everything seems to work fine, but when I start the game, just when I get dropped on the map to go to the first level, I can do one movement south then I can't go left or right, I can only get back to the begining. Do you know how to fix that ? thanks
I use an XBOX one controller, I fixed it, inverted UP and down with left and right and it works fine now
even my a and x buttons were inverted with y and b I don't know why

Connect your controller in your PC’s settings in Bluetooth, then go in Dolphin Emulator, and it’ll show up there

You can use an emulated GameCube controller for Mario cart wii. No need to set it up as a wii remote

Hi, I'm sure it's something I did wrong, but I'm having trouble here. I set the controller the way you said (trying to play Tatsunoko vs Capcom) but when everything is set and I start the game, I get a message saying You cannot use other controllers with a Nintendo GameCube control connected to socket one.
If it helps, this is the Android version of Dolpbin.
Nvm, just that fast I figured out what was wrong. I had to disable the emulated controls on the GameCube side...now I need to see why the up/down controls aren't working when it asks if I want to save or not. Those, I know I set correctly.
Fixed that too! Lol..now, there is something I definitely cannot fix and maybe you can help me fix is the sound...it's spotty. There's A lot of popping noise and the music cuts in and out.

You need to upgrade to the beta versions of Dolphin. 5.0 is 5 years old now. The Betas have all the features you require
