    Maybe don't use an Ultrawide and get an external monitor that is 16:9?

    I've been thinking of ditching my 34" ultrawide as well. I'm trying to decide now between a 27", 32" or even 43" monitor (or tv in the case of the 43"). I'm still undecided of what I will go with but I am happy with the ultrawide for now. I haven't ran into the styling issues that you spoke about in this video. Also, I'd like a video on your keyboard as well. I am using a custom built Corne keyboard (42 keys) and I really like it.

      I was looking for a gaming monitor for my PS5 and ended on the Gigabyte 32" - I use it for daily work as a frontend dev and it's been great. Can recommend a 32"

    I've had a few ultrawides in different sizes but didn't like any of them. Either I constantly leaned to the left in my chair because I forgot to constantly position my windows in the middle, or I didn't have enough vertical space. Doing most of my coding on the 14" laptop now and when I really need more space I love using an external 32" 4K monitor.

    Thank you for the video. It was great to hear the honest opinion from a curved monitor user. I was going to buy a curved monitor and now I'm having second thoughts. This could have been me in few years time 😂
    IMO, Yes, multiple screens can be distracting but at the same time can be useful. I'm pretty sure that you would buy that 27 inch monitor soon cuz you'll realize yet again that switching between windows makes you a lot slower and add into the decision fatigue.

    • @YourAverageTechBro
      @YourAverageTechBro  5 месяцев назад

      Yeah I definitely agree that multiple monitors can be super useful. Maybe in a few months I'll start getting some monitors again, it's a real possibility for sure.

    I’m totally the opposite, I would need my ultrawide to do some serious work, can’t do it with just laptop monitor, cause I could read some long nasty code without it wrapping to the next line which makes it easier to read for me, and have the app on the side at a glance during development.

    Man I could never do just a laptop for my full setup. The times when I have to (working away from home, feeling lazy) I'm miles less productive and more frustrated when I'm comparing between my SQL and C#, when I'm debugging, inspecting my frontend code, actively working on my frontend code, googling something, etc. I have two 27" 4k monitors at home and it's the perfect setup for everything I need. I can dedicate a full screen to a web page and then the other screen to code, google searches, backend code, whatever else all simultaneously due to the space advantage of 4k.
