    I think you're a genius! You are wealthy, smart, intellectual, good-looking, and entrepreneurial. It's sophisticated, and I hope your app will fly well. Software engineering is so advanced and really so smart, it's hard for me to follow. It's hard for me to become like you. Computer science is really high-tech. Anyway, men are more successful at it. That is a characteristic of people in the workforce. The dichotomy of success in the sexes. Females could become successful as much as men if they are smart enough. That is something of an encouragement to me.

    This is amazing bro, keep it up!
    I did the same thing hehe! I got a script, and I hosted it and do some posts on social media and now the platform has more than 15k users and generating about $2k MRR. I spend $0 on marketing.
    My trick is that I posted the app on PH, and much more listing websites, and also a RUclipsr did a free video for us, and it went crazy.

      I wish there was a rule that applies to all products but unfortunately there isn't. It's definitely a skill you develop as you iterate on social media. Try looking at other competitors in your space or products you might want to copy/imitate and see how they do their marketing

      1- Are there any costs in Stripe or governmental fees? or stripe handles it for you? I mean, do you pay anything on your income to the government
      2- do you think gpt 3.5 is enough or will you upgrade it for gpt-4 or gpt-4o ( since gpt 4 is expensive :/, how do you overcome with that issue)

      Awesome video. I have the same question (1) as @berkaycirak above. Plus, what do you use to control the whole billing process? Like manage the subscriptions, refund, etc.

      He used the API which is the stock one . No training involved .
      He used an LLM technique called “RAG” for document retrieval alongside a Vector Database

    Rather than paying double for planetscale you can prepend your database name with the different project names and then you'll be able to share across multiple applications 👀
    I know drizzle has a way to do it easily, I'm not sure if you use an ORM or something

      yeah that is one thing I like about drizzle but unfortunately I use prisma and it doesn't offer that ability 😬 i actually ended up migrating to supabase for my next project which still has a pretty generous free tier so not too much of an issue anymore luckily.

      Yep I tried the lifetime deal and I did like it but unfortunately not too many purchases/conversions. I probably should've kept it up and I probably took it down a bit prematurely admittedly.

Currently have ADs for monetization, but want to remove the ADs and go a pay-for-use model. Over the course of the year, the majority of visitors use the tool once or twice, then leave. What do you think would be a good monetization model? I was thinking of trying per search.

      At the very beginnign I just launched and did everything as a sole proprietor (no fancy tax forms necessary). Eventually now that I've built a lot of apps + have social media income I created a separate LLC for social media + apps, but definitely not necessary when you're just starting out.

    Can you talk about the legal aspect of starting a quick saas business? Are you able to just throw this up, how do you pay taxes on it? Do you need to file paperwork for a business? Atleast from your experience

      i have a cpa to help with taxes. Everything is filed through my personal LLC so it is separate from my day job as well.

      Back in their openAI developer day i think back in oct/november they did announce price cuts to certain parts of their API, so definitely take a look!

      I did offer a lifetime purchase (I think I did $70 lifetime access) but it was a bit hard to figure out how to fit a one time purchase model into Nexus. One time purchase doesn't work for every saas and I think Nexus is a good case where it is harder to justify.

      @@YourAverageTechBro your comments about pricing are interesting also. I've gone with a token based structure for my app so it's more "pay-per-use" which is definitely better for the customer. Haven't figured if it's worse for the business due to the trailing revenue you'd get from people being lazy and not unsubscribing/simply not using the tool OR if better due to higher conversion rate as a result of people feeling better about not having a subscription to manage.

    1. on nexus, why don't you have privacy policy, refund policy, terms and conditions etc? Maybe I am unable to find them or was it left out for some reason?
    2. Also you have a "trusted section" where you show all the people at different universities using it. Is that real data? How did you find out that a person who used your site is studying/working at say Google? Or is this vague information? If its vague, then isnt that lying since its not genuine information?

      1) tbh we just never really needed it - no one asked for it 🤷
      2) it's legitimate information. we look at our signed up users and look at the email addresses that they signed up with so from there we include the relevant institutions.

      It definitely has. But also my main marketing for my products is always a completely separate social media channel so it doesn’t help as much as you would think. I don’t do much marketing on my “main” accounts for example.

      Unfortunately I don't have too much experience using no code tools, but I know there are tools like Framer or bubble.io that are pretty robust to create no code apps. You can get pretty clever by connecting it to things like Zapier or make.com to trigger actions
