    So happy that I found an honest entrepreneur on YT. I'm tired of many "bros" on X/Twitter who claim they reached 100k MRR, 200k MRR in a couple of months time just to sell shovels for other aspiring solopreneurs. Thanks to RUclips algorithm! I've been following you for little over a month. Your content is invaluable for aspiring solopreneurs! Keep it up.

    Yeah dude, those costs are up there. Good thing you've got that revenue to cover it! Love these kinds of videos, keep em coming.

    Do you include cursor/copilot subscription as a cost? Great video by the way. It’s edited nicely. I didn’t even watch it, just listened while I was driving and still got hella value from this. Thank you for sharing.

    • @YourAverageTechBro
      @YourAverageTechBro  6 дней назад +1

      Yo! I do not include that as a cost since it isn't specific to this project and I use it across all of my projects.
      glad you found it useful!

    I'm more interested in why you chose that tech stack and services rather than what you chose. Why Next instead of Vue or Svelte or Angular? Why Revenue cat or whatever instead of Stripe? Why native app vs. PWA? Why supabase or whatever you said in another video as opposed to AWS or Firebase?

    • @YourAverageTechBro
      @YourAverageTechBro  9 дней назад +3

      the reason is really not that deep. the reason I chose the tech stack is because I arbitrarily chose it in the beginning of my building journey a few years ago and I don't want to learn new technology so I'm sticking with what I know haha

    love your content. I was wondering why you build a mobile and web app, instead of a PWA? Or did you maybe consider a PWA, but decided otherwise?

    • @YourAverageTechBro
      @YourAverageTechBro  10 дней назад

      I think it's just because I know mobile/web app and didn't want to learn something new for a PWA. didn't want to reinvent the wheel

    I have a question about making the first dollar with a Saas product. What's the best place to start in terms of releasing an app to the public? I have apps that work on my computer but I'm not sure how to get them to other people and what even to charge them. Thanks!

    • @YourAverageTechBro
      @YourAverageTechBro  10 дней назад

      if it's a website, then you have to deploy your website onto some hosting platform (I personally use Vercel). If you're building a mobile app, you need to submit your app to review in the apple app store and google play store.

    Can you tell us how you validate your saas ideas

    • @YourAverageTechBro
      @YourAverageTechBro  6 дней назад

      I validate my saas ideas by building in spaces that have already been validated by other people. I don't like building in "net new" markets.

    I'm curious, why not use whisper over assemblyai?

    • @YourAverageTechBro
      @YourAverageTechBro  10 дней назад

      I believe assemblyAI handles longer recordings/larger files "out of the box" compared to whisper (at least last time I checked)

    • @mirzabiz
      @mirzabiz 10 дней назад

      @@YourAverageTechBro interesting. what about cost. you should def look into whisper. would u consider whisper if u were starting out now?

    • @YourAverageTechBro
      @YourAverageTechBro  10 дней назад

      @@mirzabiz hard to say. I think I’d still go with assembly for the longer recording support for now. I’m okay paying a little more for now as I can always do cost cutting later on
