You are definitely heaven sent. I have been trying to figure out how to use this feature correctly for over a year. I followed your instructions step by step and I have stickers 😮💨🥰. Thank you so much.
I suggest sticking to one project first :) For example just focus on stickers first. There's a ton of videos for beginners that are super simple and easy to follow. Get the hang of one thing first and continue learning from there!
I’m having the hardest time learning all of this stuff, I got the Explorer 2 for Christmas myself and been trying to figure this thing out, was about ready to get rid of it until I watched this video, so I’m gonna try again, Thank you so much for this video.
When I tell you I wanted to cry when I made my granddaughter a shirt for Valentine’s Day. You really made it clear the only thing I’m having trouble with is the offset but the print to cut omg thank you thank you thank you I’ve had my Explorer 2 for a year now I have a little more confidence
This tutorial helped me so much. I literally spent 14 hours on RUclips trying to find how to print then cut. Some of the little details that you include here were left out of all the other videos I watched and my attempts kept failing because of that. The key was when you explained the Linetype and Fill features, as I was trying to print a cut file and on other attempts was trying to cut print files. Oh my! You explain things so well. I have joined your Facebook group and I can’t wait to watch your other videos. Thank you!
I am completely impressed with your knowledge. I am no less intimidated with the Cricut Maker I just bought and haven't yet had the courage to unbox, but I now know that you are here to make things clear. You are an excellent instructor. Thank you!
It’ll have you do a little project step by step to show you how Simple it can be.. but unboxing and just diving right in and just exploring (clicking buttons) is really the only way to learn I mean like they say practice makes perfect.. have fun and stay safe ..
Thank you for this tutorial. It was super helpful to me as a brand new Cricut Maker user. Your instruction was easy to understand and completely thorough. Using your directions I was able to create a sheet of stickers and feel confident that they were done correctly. I'm enjoying using my creation and plan to make many more. Thanks again and I look forward to watching more of your videos. ~Sarah
This was the most thorough and clarifying tutorial I've ever watched for my Cricut. Thank you SO much!! I'm often overwhelmed after watching Cricut tutorials, but this one actually worked for my brain and I'm excited to try it myself. Thanks again!
OMG! This is an amazing tutorial for a Circut novice/ newbie! Santa gave me a "Joy," and I've watched a millionty videos! ! ! I think this is the one that explains it best! I'm going to start playing! I ONLY want to do my original art on the Circut so this is fabulous! I'll let ya' know how it works ! ! ! Thank you so much!
OMGoodness! This is the most thorough print then cut video I've seen. You do a superb job of explaining the step-by-step processes. I thank you....My Cricut thanks you. :-) Understanding makes crafting so much more fun.
I totally understand. Hahaha. I .. STILL feel that wha today. I’ve had it ... almost a year & I just the other DAY cut my fire piece of card stock. If I were knew & watching this ... I think I’d feel overwhelmed trying to take in this print then cut stuff. It’s hard enough for me just to remember to “mirror” my images (most important when lettering is present) not to mention how to use design space. I’m actually still more comfortable pre-editing my images in a whole separate APP non-related to Cricut. (It’s called “Magic Eraser” & it’s icon is a red background with a transparent/gray & white checkered “M” with a cartoon pencil eraser wise down over it. Magic eraser (I know it’s ikon on iPhone for sure & I think android too - but I’ve tried all background eraser apps & I promise it’s the best) but I like to pre-edit my images for cutting in the Magic Eraser app because unlike design space - Magic Eraser lets me really lets me edit down to the pixels & even do it in each mode; erasing AND restoring. When I’m done I just upload it to design space & don’t even have to edit my image - it’s already ready to place & cut. Cricut design space sucks for editing (unless I just don’t know how to use it.) But it’s been about a year since I got my Cricut & I still have no idea how to ‘layer’ or ‘weld’ or ‘attach.’ I’m watching this Because I need to make a sticker sheet of Nicki Minaj for a customer. My first sheet of some labels for this guy that sells stuff onlike were less than half a page in size & turned out perfectly. But my 2nd attempt was a 8.5x11 standard size sheet & I wasted ink & sticker paper because ... WHAT SHE’S SAYING ABOUT DESIGN SPACE ONLY ALLOWING FOR A 6.75x9.25 WHEN USING DESIGN SPACE IS REALLY IMPORTANT. If you don’t keep it within those measurements it’s not going to cut your images where you need them - & ruin your perfectly good printout. This happened to me. So I’m going to try it again. I’m wondering though does anybody know if your preprinted paper needs to be placed In the top left portion Of your mat ?
Thank you so much Karley - haven't tried this technique as yet ONLY because I didn't know how......with your easy to follow instructions - I will now have a go at print & cut......
🙏🏻 you saved me throwing my my new Cricut Explore 3 against the wall. Your tutorials are amazing. I’m proficient in MS Publisher but this threw me for a loop. I thought … it’s a no brainer, and then felt like I had no brain. I’m binging your channel. Thank you Karley💕💕🙏🏻✨👍🏻👏🏻
I don't comment very often, however you are amazing at teaching! I taught technology from Pre-K to 5th grade and instruction for educators... and you have an amazing talent. I literally had at least 4 aah haa moments that you made very clear. Thank you so much for your tutorials ❤
THANK YOU!! I have been struggling all day trying to get my text on a tumbler instructions card and it kept cutting out the text! (Low and behold that was your example! ha!) Thank you for the video, it helped SO MUCH!
Not only did you answer my questions but you also provided helpful tips and tricks you only get from “learning by doing”. Keep up the great work and thank you!
I don’t know if I have to use the sticker paper in the normal printer and then after printed go to cricut or should I use normal cardboard paper? All this vinyl and different types of Iron on are sooooo confusing! Will keep on watching u on RUclips!
Wow. What a wonderful instructor you are. I have been watching lots of videos since purchasing my Maker. And honestly I was still confused. But your videos have really been helpful. You don’t assume that the person watching already know all the steps. Thank you so much.
I have to admit this is the only video i have watched that has truly helped in every area needed. after days of watching vids on these cricut machines i have to say this video would have saved me days if i found it sooner thank you so much
Thank you so much for this video. I've been trying to learn more about my Cricut while also trying to learn Adobe Illustrator and find that so many videos are not geared to beginners. They show you how to do the steps but don't explain why so you aren't really learning. I appreciate so much that you actually explain why and also include details and useful tips.
Brillant video thank you I have watched so many videos since buying my maker in March, you have explained better than anyone else. Perfect stickers her I come 😀👍
You are amazing!!! Everything I had question about, you answered. I will have to watch this about 20 more times to get all this information into my head. Please keep the tutorials coming!
I am interested in using this machine for images that would usually be fussy cut. For example, purchase PDFs on Etsy, print the images, like butterflies, then use this machine to cut them out. Is this a good option for that use? Thanks!
Hey Karley. WOW just WOW this video is so amazing! You explain things like no other. The quality of the video is so clear, it looks like we are live with you. The laminate is interesting, I definitely want to try it. When you showed us the cut stickers up close they looked glittered. Is there a texture to the laminate? Would you say that it is similar to clear contact paper? Thank you SO much for all the work you put into this video......into all your videos! I really appreciate you 💕❤️
Thank you so much for this thoughtful comment!!! 💕 The UV laminate was slightly textured and definitely shimmered! The thing I love about 651Vinyl (the company) is that they will only sell products that are rated to stand up to UV rays! So everything you buy will hold up. I don’t believe contact paper will hold up to UV rays, but it will give you a nice shiny finish!
I was having issues getting my print to line up with my cut on Cricut. Going this route made everything go so smooth and work perfectly on my first try. Thank you for this tutorial - it was very helpful.
Jules, I think this is what your asking. She used a Matte UV Laminate over the stickers after she printed them but before she cuts theml This protects them and gives them that sheen. I hope this helps!
Omg!!! Thank you so much. I saw this video a few months ago and today I could not get my print and cut ti work even though I sized my stickers to the right size. It kept esperaron my images. I’m so glad I saved this video. Thank you so so much
I'm so glad I found this. I bought an air 2 a few months ago and was really confused on the print and cut or cut method. This was so easy to understand. Thanks for sharing!
Omg FINALLY!!! I found a video that helps me with the part where it cuts everything!!! The directions one you did I’ve been having this problem!!! Thank you so much!!! 😉
This is a GREAT video. Clearly a gifted teacher. So many options and I am thankful you covered it all. GREAT information. I had No idea stickers could be so easy
Wow, that was a lot, but everything I needed to know in one video. I’m trying to make stickers for my daughters plumbing business, so I’m going to follow your instructions and see what happens. Thank you.
I have a cricut explore air 2 that has never been out of the box because these tutorials have me so confused😒. I only have an android phone and cricut design space doesn't allow much. I wanted to get a wireless printer but unfortunately, that's not gping to happen since I don't have a clue what contouring and changing colors even is. I love the cricut obsession I'm addicted to all of the crafts I have seen. Keep crafting.❤❤
Thank you very much for the tip on turning the bleed on! I've been stressing about making stickers because they've been cutting really off and couldn't fulfill someones request for stickers properly. Thank you very much!
I love this video!! I have had no luck at all with print and cut. It was always so confusing and frustrating. I can't wait to try your method. Finally. Thanks!
You are the BEST!! Love your videos!! Especially this one- super comprehensive!!! Easy to understand. I like how you show us what to do and what NOT to do.
Hi! I'm new in this channel and this is the first video I saw here. Althought my speak language is not english I understand everything soo well. Thank you very much for sharing this tutorial video. Huge help 😊
So happy I found your tutorial! My Cricut has been a pretty paper weight for about 1.5 years! And I finally decided to get learning. Fell into the rabbit hole with all these videos but finally did my first projectS this week🤩 So I got brave & started exploring “ print & cut” and I 💖💖💖 your teaching. Coming from a Learning & Development background, I’m a toughie but you my Dear got a new subscriber. And just requested to join your FB group😁. TFS
Thank you for the really clear information. I'm having major problems with my maker! Please do a troubleshooting video! I haven't got to the cut stage, my image is only printing half a print!! Soooo frustrating!
This was exceptionally useful; thank you so much! Very helpful explanations and I especially appreciated seeing differences in how you dealt with the negative spaces.
Thank you, Karley! I now have hope I can use my Cricut Joy! I'm a cake decorator/designer, and am aware (through Esty purchases) that it's possible to cut pre-printed images on edible icing sheets. Many images I use may take up only half of an edible sheet. Or even a quarter of the sheet. Each sheet is $1.50-$2.00, depending. My idea/thought was to cut every sheet exactly in half (any tier is only 4.5+"); print images from my edible printer; and be able to feed it through Cricut Joy to be cut, rather than throw away as much excess as I have been. The "language" of Cricut has completely thrown me off from the very beginning! Yes, I jumped from my "clever" idea straight to purchase of the machine, but have believed my Joy could be an asset to my cake biz. Not just as an expense-saving tool, nor saving me from hand-cutting images late at night, but a way to expand my ability to present a client with more than they expected. I sent a note to Customer Service, but between Covid, and the nature of my question, no one has been able to address my question, nor pointed me to a person, such as yourself, for the information on RUclips. I just happened upon your tutorial. Thank you so much! I will figure this out! "Print, then Cut" ..... "Flatten" .... I'm certain the Cricut Joy is a dedicated tool for exactly what I need. I don't need a model any larger. Cake is all I do. Cricut Joy is exactly perfect! Thank you so much for your in depth explanation of every step! I'll be reviewing your RUclips frequently to get this figured out! Deni@ www.WerksOfTheHeart.com
I’m so glad you were able to understand print then cut!!! Unfortunately, the cricut Joy doesn’t have a sensor compatible with print then cut. 😫😫 This only works for the Cricut Explore Series and Maker machines.
Hi Karley, Thank you so much for your reply. I'm rolling my eyes at myself .... I never asked anyone prior to purchasing Cricut Joy if it could do what I hoped it would. I'll be looking into a proper version to do what I'd like for my business. Again, thank you for this information. I will be tuning into your RUclips channel for an education into Cricut. Deni@ www.WerksOfTheHeart.com
Thank you for that great video. It answered a few of the questions I had about print then cut. I kept trying to cut and not understanding why it would cut out parts of the stickers that I don’t want cut.
Thank you for your tutorial. I guess I need to try it as I find I learn better by trial and error. It will waste material but its the only way it will stay in my head afterwards. Some of what you said makes sense to me but some I need to try or watch again probably 40 times for me lol. Thank you 😊
What an awesome tutorial and an amazing teacher! Thank you so much 😊 everything you said applied to what I needed to learn…no long boring video..You capture my attention from beginning to end. I wish more classes were like this 🥰
Very informative. So many things I learned here and acquired a better understanding of "bleed" for sure. You made it look so easy but my first attempt did not go so well. I used Writable Vinyl for my stickers and that was an enormous mess. *lesson learned* Good job, Karley.
Hi First, thank you a lot for the details on how to make stickers!!!! That was awesome. I am newbie with Cricut! Second, how I can print the stickers keeping the back paper?? That I can ship or save to used later
I just received a cricut maker for my birthday and I was so excited to get to print stickers. I came straight to your video when searching how to. Can you help me with how to go about printing white in the background of a text? It cut each sticker letter individually and I would like it to cut the word as one sticker. Your video was awesome!
YOU ARE AMAZING! Your video was so helpful. Great instructions. It was a lot of information but you made it so clear and easy to understand. Thank you!
This was so clear and easy to understand and follow. I just designed 3 different stickers and sheets in no time after watching this. Thank you. Thank you. I will be watching your other videos.
Thank you for this tutorial. It was a lot of information but you explained it so well. I've watched a lot of sticker videos and this was by far the most comprehensive and easy to follow. Thank you.
Thank You very much for this video, I have been looking for a tutorial like this for so long I was getting frustrated... I'm a Graphic Designer and I love to make natural stuff but I could not get to print my own designs in Cricut.... I'm new to Cricut I just got it in December 2019 as a Christmas Gift from my Sister.... I'm so happy I can make full use of it now, again Thanks Much..
I was very excited when I first started watching because you took your time and after 2 weeks of round the clock trying to figure out my explorer, I thought I'd finally succeeded. I was with you right up til the print. Let's just day ,I spent 8 hours trying to figure out how to get my printer to print to s PDF....... and still nothing. I feel stupid, please help
If you have a printer you don’t need to worry about print to PDF! You can just directly print. I show print to PDF in case you don’t have a printer and need to save the file and send it to be printed professionally :)
I am so grateful that toward the VERY beginning of tutorial you mention that the size limitation of the Print/Cut (as of 5/2020) is 6.75 x 9.25 on 8.5 x11 inch material. REALLY helped me to know what to do even BEFORE doing any image selections, placement, etc. Thanks so very much! (It's currently Dec.2020...are the limitations still the same?). Thanks!!
Yours is the only tutorial to explain how to print text over a shape, so the shape cuts and not the text. CDS has a very convoluted way to handle this very necessary feature for making greeting cards. They programmers assume you want to cut everything which makes no sense when card sentiments should be printed and only the background of the card cut. Thanks for explaining it.
Thank you so much for this tutorial.... it has been so frustrating trying to figure out how to make stickers and they actually cut the way I want them to! You re a rockstar!!
I love this video helped me a lot. Im the type that goes straight in because I feel some things are self explanatory but of course being a smart ass I ran into a few humps and watching your video helped me fix those small humps. But I do have a little issue my Cricut isn't reading my black grid lines for the print and cut, Ive cleaned the light, the blade, and the mat but it still won't read my project please help
You are definitely heaven sent. I have been trying to figure out how to use this feature correctly for over a year. I followed your instructions step by step and I have stickers 😮💨🥰. Thank you so much.
I have had my Cricut maker for 8 months and I learned more in this last 20 minutes than I did in 8 months!! THANK YOU!
Thank you so much! These are the best type of comments! Make my day!!!
You've addressed some things I've been trying to find in other videos that were never discussed. Thank you for being so thorough!
I spent 3 hours watching other videos on this. I should have watched yours first. 15:00 mark made my day. So clear to understand.
and the 20:50 mark
Thank you so much for this feedback! I really appreciate you taking the time to watch my tutorial and for commenting! 🥰
First time ever having a Cricut. I am overwhelmed and afraid to do anything! There is so much to learn.
I suggest sticking to one project first :) For example just focus on stickers first. There's a ton of videos for beginners that are super simple and easy to follow. Get the hang of one thing first and continue learning from there!
Same I got mine for christmas and havn’t used it. Dying to make these stickers but just on normal sticker paper.
I have the same feelings ... dunno if am ready to use it yet.
I’m having the hardest time learning all of this stuff, I got the Explorer 2 for Christmas myself and been trying to figure this thing out, was about ready to get rid of it until I watched this video, so I’m gonna try again, Thank you so much for this video.

I had mine for 2 weeks! Finally unboxed it. Go ahead. Do it! Just make a simple one color vinyl sticker as a first project. YOU CAN do this!
It’ll have you do a little project step by step to show you how
Simple it can be.. but unboxing and just diving right in and just exploring (clicking buttons) is really the only way to learn I mean like they say practice makes perfect.. have fun and stay safe ..
I need Cricut for Dummies 😭😭😭😭 I'm going to have to watch this again (and again, and again...)
Agreed!!!
Watch PattyAnnes Place, she does just a Minnie Mouse first. It’s a Brothers but explains it for Cricut as well. It’s not so overwhelming.
@@shellyneale9514 thank you!
Same!
Me too lol 😂🤣
Appreciate the step by step and the explanation as to WHY we need to do something. So not just demonstrating but also teaching . Thank you!
Thank you for this tutorial. It was super helpful to me as a brand new Cricut Maker user. Your instruction was easy to understand and completely thorough. I don’t comment on things but, this is definitely the best tutorial for making stickers I’ve seen! Thank you!
I completely agree!
Think I agree. Its simple and answers the questions I have in mind. With additional information like the coating on top of the sticker images.

Really mine does too! How do you stop that?
Not only did you answer my questions but you also provided helpful tips and tricks you only get from “learning by doing”. Keep up the great work and thank you!
Wow you know sooooo much and I understood soooooo little!! I’m sooo confused.....I’ll have to see this 5 times! Thanks for helping!

I saw loads of Cricut Design Space tutorials, but this was hands down the most informative. Thank you so much for sharing!
New to the Cricut - this video is exactly what I needed! Thanks!
I have to admit this is the only video i have watched that has truly helped in every area needed. after days of watching vids on these cricut machines i have to say this video would have saved me days if i found it sooner thank you so much

Great print and cut video. Especially on how to slice!!! Skip to 27:02 to see how. These are tips that save a lot of time. Thank you!
I would love to see the HTV print and cut 😁
Vicki Hudson this one is definitely on the list!
thank you for taking your time to explain some of the basics for a newcomer like me! it makes so much more sense now!

Thank you for your clear instructions. I will probably watch a few times more. My Cricut is still in the box (LOL) which I purchased a few days ago.
Thank you, Karley! You have answered MANY of my questions and I'm going to try AGAIN to get my project done. If not, I'll be back with questions!
THANK YOU!!!! I can't tell you how much ink and sticker paper I wasted on trying to figure out print to cut! THANK YOU!!!

I’m so glad you were able to understand print then cut!!! Unfortunately, the cricut Joy doesn’t have a sensor compatible with print then cut. 😫😫 This only works for the Cricut Explore Series and Maker machines.
Hi Karley,
Thank you so much for your reply.

@@denicole1804 hope you figured everything out, if not, im sure you can sell it and buy the maker/explore instead
I finally understand this now! Thank you for breaking it down step by step!
You have been the most detailed video I have ever come across. Thank you
Wow. You are the most informative of the technical creators for Cricut stuff. Love that! Got to go, I have lots more to watch... Thank you.
Hi. Thank you so much for the measurements! I couldn't figure out why it wasn't working and giving me an error. I subscribed!
So far so good - better than most anyone else making videos about it.
Thank you for this video! I got my Cricut Maker yesterday and thanks to you I know how to make stickers!
Thank you 😊
Thank you so much for the tutorial, I now know I have to attach the images to fit the page, very happy crafter 🙂
Thank you for the great video. I may have to watch it a couple of times but I think this will be very helpful.
What an awesome tutorial and an amazing teacher! Thank you so much 😊 everything you said applied to what I needed to learn…no long boring video..You capture my attention from beginning to end. I wish more classes were like this 🥰
Thank you so much for this tutorial. You answered most of my questions in the first 5 minutes!
Very informative. So many things I learned here and acquired a better understanding of "bleed" for sure. You made it look so easy but my first attempt did not go so well. I used Writable Vinyl for my stickers and that was an enormous mess. *lesson learned* Good job, Karley.
Thank you so much! I just got my Cricut and was trying to figure out how to get it to cut my stickers I put on sticker paper.
Hi
First, thank you a lot for the details on how to make stickers!!!!
Thank you for this detailed video. This is the best explanation that I've come across.
YOU ARE AMAZING! Your video was so helpful. Great instructions. It was a lot of information but you made it so clear and easy to understand. Thank you!
Amazing clear instructional video! Thank you so much! I just got a cricut yesterday, so I can't wait to try it out! 😊
this is an EXCELLENT VIDEO tutorial about how to make stickers. you are a Gem!!!! TFS
Finally! Someone with detailed explanations! Thank you for being so thorough!!!
Brand new to cricut. This was soooo helpful. Thank you.
Very complicated. I guess I just have to start playing with it to learn for myself. 🌸
It’s like riding a bike! Once you do it once, you’ll be a pro!
Fabulous. I wanted to make tags and couldn’t get it to work. Thanks for this video, now I know how 💐👍
I was very excited when I first started watching because you took your time and after 2 weeks of round the clock trying to figure out my explorer, I thought I'd finally succeeded.
@@KarleyHall ty so much. I'm sorry for the confusion. You are now my favorite tutorial to follow.
Thanks!!
Yes the limitations are still the same :)
You re a rockstar!!
very well explained. Love this video, but i have a q"s : Can i use these to apply them on a tumbler and then seal either with epoxy or brite tone?
I love this video helped me a lot. Im the type that goes straight in because I feel some things are self explanatory but of course being a smart ass I ran into a few humps and watching your video helped me fix those small humps. But I do have a little issue my Cricut isn't reading my black grid lines for the print and cut, Ive cleaned the light, the blade, and the mat but it still won't read my project please help
thankyou. finally a video ive watched where you actually explain what you are doing and it actually makes sense haha :)
Thanks for this video, I have been having an issue and now I know what action I need to do!
I am so glad to find this video. However, how do you make it cut twice? Thank you.
You can make a custom cut setting or before you unload it, click the cricut button again. And it’ll do another pass.
