Loved your video! When I work with print then cut, the machine cuts all white areas IN the design before cutting the border. I only want the border cut! I’m missing something!
Create an offset behind your design (make sure there are no holes in the offset layer) and then select your offset layer and your image and flatten together. I hope that helps. Feel free to ask any other questions.
Okay but other then cute flowers for scrap booking what can be done with print and cut? I'm new in cricut crafting world and I watch all these great videos but I am really interested in tshirt making and permanent vynil for cups etc.
Welcome to the Cricut world. Print then cut can be used for making stickers and also if you print on printable heat transfer vinyl you can put it on a shirt. I have a whole playlist on print then cut that you can check out here ruclips.net/p/PLPIwi88Dy-OxZPioA3PkaNso-_rncV3XQ&si=CMXUGYc48kCxe3UH Look through my list of videos and you’ll find lots of fun Cricut crafts to get you started.

@@littlecraftnestthanks so much for responding. The vinyl decal looks like what I want since it's removable. Only thing is it's a whole image like the one you're using on this tutorial. It's an image of a teddybear in an airplane. It's for a baby shower and will have the wording Landing Soon. I can follow the recommended tutorial to do the wording part but I am stuck on the actual image and getting it to print out whole using the vinyl.
Ok i have tons of digital downloads in my laptop computer, could u do a tutorial on cutting these images? I’m finally hauling out my cricut and start learning how to use it. I tried learning design space when i first got the machine and got frustrated and put it away. Wish me good luck lol. Oh is there somewhere on design space to import from my digital files?
Can you print on white cricut permanent vinyl? Or do you have to purchase special "printable vinyl" to make stickers? Total noob so sorry if it's silly question but looking forward to a reply. GREAT VIDEO with perfect editing 👍🏼👍🏼
Glad you enjoyed the video. Great question. Yes you do need special printable vinyl or sticker paper. If you were to print on regular permanent vinyl the ink would not absorb into the vinyl properly and probably smudge. I have a few different sticker videos you can check out. Sticker sheets: ruclips.net/video/6R_u6K30jWU/видео.html Stickers: ruclips.net/video/yTzPxnA4jQs/видео.html Easy peel stickers: ruclips.net/video/KMKfTm5xGMg/видео.html

I keep trying to find videos of exactly WHAT paper to use for the pictures, is it just heat transfer paper? How is it possible to use regular paper on a shirt?
Yes if you were to make a shirt you would need to use printable HTV. I have 2 different videos on this using different types of printable material that I will post here. Teckwrap Transfer Paper: ruclips.net/video/QPTr-FyHglc/видео.html Easy Color DTV: ruclips.net/video/XTu1lqJDHic/видео.html You can not use regular copy paper to put on shirts, but you may want to use regular copy paper for other projects such as invitations, bulletin board art, etc.
There are two different things you could do. You can flatten the image to a rectangle in DS and then print /cut it out and fold to make a card or make stickers. I have a few different sticker videos you can follow that I’ll post below. Sticker sheets: ruclips.net/video/6R_u6K30jWU/видео.html Holographic stickers: ruclips.net/video/yTzPxnA4jQs/видео.html Easy Peel stickers: ruclips.net/video/KMKfTm5xGMg/видео.html
Ok i made a very simple medicine label. I designed it and sent to printer. My plan was to cut it the next day. Go to my saved project hit make it again. ThT is as far as i can get . Please advise
I enjoyed your video, but I wonder if you could help me with one more thing. I'm trying to cut out a donut shape that has a hole in the middle, and writing on it. I made a square within a square and subtracted them to create my donut, made the donut white so it wouldn't print, then added my words to the donut and flattened. I could see the background checkerboard in the middle hole, but for some reason it only cut around the outside and didn't cut the hole. What am I doing wrong?
It sounds like you’re doing everything right. I’m not sure why it did not cut the center. Maybe a glitch. Try logging out and back in. I hope you can get it to work.
Depends on what material you are cutting. For paper or cardstock you probably don’t want to put anything sticky on it. But if you’re using printable vinyl you could use transfer tape.
Unfortunately Cricut machines do not print. You must first print from a printer and then have your Cricut cut around your image. However you can have your Cricut draw with pens - I have a few videos showing how to do that.
Can I print for example in Staples for the color quality and then proceed to come back to cricut to cut around that image? I want to use this feature for bulletin board decorations, but we don't have the best printer quality and wanted to see if I would still be able to have cricut cut out my images. I don't know if anyone has any advice? Thanks!
You need to have the registration marks on your image so the Cricut knows where to cut. You would not be able to do this at staples. Does your local library have a Cricut and a printer? You may be able to try that route.
Yes you can! I demonstrate this in some of my sticker videos. You can check out my sticker playlist here ruclips.net/p/PLPIwi88Dy-Oz4AY7phRD4ZN1Dfnj6SwOM&si=ykd5-RllCHujAkRO
Hi, so I followed your directions to the T. But for some reason my first design prints out the background as the same color as my design. If I duplicate the design, the backgrounds are white (the way I set/want it.) Do you have any idea on how to fix this? Is this a printer issue? Is it because I'm using my iPad? Please help if possible 🥹❤️
Hmm I’ve never experienced this. To me it sounds like a printer issue or maybe the background isn’t totally removed. When you uploaded the image to DS did you remove the background using the magic wand? If you want a white background maybe first remove the background when uploading and then add a white background using the square shape and then flatten the background and image together. It’s really hard to know without seeing your screen but I hope you can figure it out.
Hi! Your Video was very helpful!! But I do have a question. I‘ve seen that sometimes the cricuts „help-lines“ (idk what they‘re called) are fully around your design, and sometimes it‘s like yours in your video! My cricut DOESN‘T do the black help-lines fully around my design and now my cricut can‘t detect the line so I can‘t cut!! I hope you know what I mean and maybe someone can help me🥺
Design space recently had a big update to Print then Cut. The black registration marks use to go fully around the whole image, now the registration marks are just in the corners. If your machine is having difficulty detecting the lines and you aren’t using glossy or dark coloured paper you could try to uninstall DS on your computer and then reinstall it. If it’s still not working try call Cricut Support. I hope you can get it working. All the best.
A USB connection should be fine. If you’re able to print with your printer from your computer, your printer should automatically show up when printing from Design Space. You could try log out and then back in and see if that helps. If it’s still not showing give Cricut support a call. I hope you can figure it out.
Yes you can. You will need printable HTV. Here are some videos that can help. Easy Color DTV: ruclips.net/video/XTu1lqJDHic/видео.htmlsi=4TLv8P2WmVFzSL5S Teckwrap Printable Vinyl: ruclips.net/video/QPTr-FyHglc/видео.htmlsi=_jrtqwRI3HqulRQp
Yes you can use a regular inkjet printer. You can use any material that will go through your printer. If using regular printer paper you would not need transfer tape. The materials you use would depend on what project you are making.
I am trying to cut a tag from kraft colored paper that already has "x" and "o" cut outs in the bottom right hand corner. I've added a name to the tag that I want printed on the tag. It is telling me that it's print then cut, I don't know why. "Operation" is grayed out so I can't click on it and change to basic cut. I've been struggling for two days to make two tags with names on them. It shouldn't be this hard. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I'm sorry you're having trouble. Operation could be grayed out because what you have selected is attached to something else, so you can't change the operation. Try to detach, unflatten or ungroup and then try to change the operation. I hope that helps. Here is a video on gift tags you may find helpful ruclips.net/video/a671f4VSqeI/видео.htmlsi=KDjrFmQwuK_Ch7x3

I have a question please, can i use a pre paid visa card to pay for a month subscription and if i cant afford it next month i dont access it? Im just not fond of a continual debit every month? Please
If your printer is installed on your computer you don't need to set up anything further. Just simply select System Dialog when you go to print from Design Space and your box should appear, sometimes hiding behind your DS window.
I used regular copy paper in this video. It could be your mat is too sticky. Use the blue mat and maybe pat your mat against a towel or t-shirt to get it less sticky. Also try peeling your mat off your paper, rather than peeling your paper off your mat. Happy crafting.
Not sure if you can help me out. When I did the print and cut on test paper it printed in color and I had no problems. When I went to print on the printable iron on it will not print in color now. I've checked to make sure grayscale was not on, tried resizing the image, selecting different paper type, restarting the computer, cricut, and printer, nothing seems to work!
Oh wow that's frustrating. I've never had that happen. All I can suggest is what you have done already. Check all your settings, restart everything and maybe call your printer company. I can't think of any reason why your printer is doing this. I really hope you can figure it out. All the best.
If you don’t want each letter to cut out separately but as a whole you will need to create a background for your text. To do this either grab a shape and put it behind your text and then flatten your text to your shape or create an offset around your text and then flatten the offset to your text. I hope that helps. Happy crafting.

Charlene at Dream Craft Create has a great video for creating digital stamps & sentiments for card making: ruclips.net/video/GpBDDJbGFIU/видео.htmlsi=ntl4OvGWjQpzdztC
Thoroughly enjoyed your video, I learned a lot 😊
I’m so glad you enjoyed it. Happy crafting!
Great video it helped me, I’ve seen allot of videos that say your printer setting have to be the same on the computer and printer so this isn’t true?
You said you need to calibrate your machine before you do Print then Cut. and that you'd link the video about how to do that. Can you help me? Thanks!
Absolutely… here’s the full video ruclips.net/video/hyUOqu3I3VU/видео.htmlsi=shhQOkjcvnwLzgUT. The location of calibration has changed since this video so here is a short showing where to find calibration ruclips.net/user/shortsQS6YSJBY6tA?si=_g3QjO7RZOodspJW
@@littlecraftnest Thank you so much I will.
I am using the explore 3- I am making a removable vinyl decal for a foam board backdrop. What step should I take next? Hopefully you see my message since this video was made some time ago. 😊
I am assuming you are not doing Print then Cut (but correct me if I’m wrong). Here are some videos I have done on vinyl decals that may help.
This video shows how to make decals for cups ruclips.net/video/SUqgpO3Z1-0/видео.htmlsi=xzft7ffhsO9HRZ8E
And this video shows how to do large wall decals ruclips.net/video/x_b6ez5n3b0/видео.htmlsi=TCBPy7gdpXZ0jh2I
@@littlecraftnestthanks so much for responding.
Very informative video, thank you!
You’re welcome. Happy crafting!
This video will show you how to import your images into design space ruclips.net/video/yWwxGHVfAx0/видео.htmlsi=SgDdGfPnSNseW1Wt
Thank you! This really helped
You’re welcome. I’m glad it was helpful.
Thank you for such a detailed video!!
You’re welcome. Happy crafting!
Does this process apply to printable vinyl as well? That's what I'll be using mine for primarily
Yes it does!

So glad to hear you're not scared of your Cricut anymore. I always suggest to pick one project you really want to do and follow a step by step tutorial for it. Here are some suggestions.

Teckwrap Transfer Paper: ruclips.net/video/QPTr-FyHglc/видео.html
Easy Color DTV: ruclips.net/video/XTu1lqJDHic/видео.html
You can not use regular copy paper to put on shirts, but you may want to use regular copy paper for other projects such as invitations, bulletin board art, etc.
Hi, I am new to your channel and I like it. Could you show how to make the cute bee into a sticker, let's say, for the front of a 5x7 greeting card.
There are two different things you could do. You can flatten the image to a rectangle in DS and then print /cut it out and fold to make a card or make stickers. I have a few different sticker videos you can follow that I’ll post below.
Sticker sheets: ruclips.net/video/6R_u6K30jWU/видео.html
Holographic stickers: ruclips.net/video/yTzPxnA4jQs/видео.html

Ok i made a very simple medicine label. I designed it and sent to printer. My plan was to cut it the next day. Go to my saved project hit make it again. ThT is as far as i can get . Please advise
Thank you
You’re welcome!
Do you have sublimation ink in your epson printer? I found using my regular canon printer it wasn't the greatest color quality.
The printer I use in this video is regular inkjet ink, which came with my epson printer.
Is there some kind of sticky sheet that I can put over the top to peel it from the backer if I have a bunch of small pieces
Depends on what material you are cutting. For paper or cardstock you probably don’t want to put anything sticky on it. But if you’re using printable vinyl you could use transfer tape.
❤great video
Thank you. Happy crafting!
What setting do you guys use to cut it? I used to set it as photo paper but there are thin things and it rips it.
hello, can you please assist me how to print from the cricut make 3 not from regular printer paper.Thank you!
Unfortunately Cricut machines do not print. You must first print from a printer and then have your Cricut cut around your image. However you can have your Cricut draw with pens - I have a few videos showing how to do that.
What type of paper/cardstock did you print the bee on?
Just regular printer paper but you can also use card stock. You can use any material that will go through your printer.
Omg finally found someone that explains how to do everything on cricut design step by step you are my life saver thank you 🙌🫶
You’re welcome. Happy crafting!
Thank you!!!!!🎉
You’re welcome!
If I use Bluetooth from my device (iPhone iPad) for my printer, will DS still detect the printer? Or do I have to use the computer for this?
Yes it should detect your printer.
If I wanted to have multiple pictures, will I be able to print cut?
Yes you can! I demonstrate this in some of my sticker videos. You can check out my sticker playlist here ruclips.net/p/PLPIwi88Dy-Oz4AY7phRD4ZN1Dfnj6SwOM&si=ykd5-RllCHujAkRO

You’re welcome.
I’m trying to do a print to cut for a shirt and I’ve wasted so much “heat transfer paper” and ink just trying to get the cut.
Are you able to print with a tablet ? Or is it better with a laptop?
You can print from either.
Hi! does the printer needs to be with wireless connection? I am using a usb cord printer and it does not show on my Cricut Design Space.
A USB connection should be fine. If you’re able to print with your printer from your computer, your printer should automatically show up when printing from Design Space. You could try log out and then back in and see if that helps. If it’s still not showing give Cricut support a call. I hope you can figure it out.
How do you get it to cut between there mine wont have a maker
Can I do this on my iPad or only on a laptop?
You can create images on your iPad but you will need to print them from your laptop.
Is it possible to do print than cut iron on vinyl?
Yes you can. You will need printable HTV. Here are some videos that can help.
Easy Color DTV: ruclips.net/video/XTu1lqJDHic/видео.htmlsi=4TLv8P2WmVFzSL5S
Teckwrap Printable Vinyl: ruclips.net/video/QPTr-FyHglc/видео.htmlsi=_jrtqwRI3HqulRQp
What kind of transfer paper did you use? Could you provide a link?
I don’t use transfer tape in this video. It’s just regular copy paper :)
Hello, can I use a regular inkjet printer? and do I need transfer paper? or regular printer paper work? Thank you
Yes you can use a regular inkjet printer. You can use any material that will go through your printer. If using regular printer paper you would not need transfer tape. The materials you use would depend on what project you are making.
@@littlecraftnest Thank you that helped me a lot!

How do u set up system dialog box on eco tank printer.
If your printer is installed on your computer you don't need to set up anything further. Just simply select System Dialog when you go to print from Design Space and your box should appear, sometimes hiding behind your DS window.
what paper did you use. mine just sticks to the mat and doesn't peel up like yours did.
I used regular copy paper in this video. It could be your mat is too sticky. Use the blue mat and maybe pat your mat against a towel or t-shirt to get it less sticky. Also try peeling your mat off your paper, rather than peeling your paper off your mat. Happy crafting.
How do you put it in something?
Not sure if you can help me out. When I did the print and cut on test paper it printed in color and I had no problems. When I went to print on the printable iron on it will not print in color now. I've checked to make sure grayscale was not on, tried resizing the image, selecting different paper type, restarting the computer, cricut, and printer, nothing seems to work!
Oh wow that's frustrating. I've never had that happen. All I can suggest is what you have done already. Check all your settings, restart everything and maybe call your printer company. I can't think of any reason why your printer is doing this. I really hope you can figure it out. All the best.
You could try going into your printer properties. Instead of “cntrl”+”p” use the “cntrl”+”shift”+”p”
When I calibrate my machine the calibration marks are mirrored and i haven't got that feature turned on.
It could possible be your printer settings, rather than Design Space settings.
Would like to know how to print and cut text only
If you don’t want each letter to cut out separately but as a whole you will need to create a background for your text. To do this either grab a shape and put it behind your text and then flatten your text to your shape or create an offset around your text and then flatten the offset to your text. I hope that helps. Happy crafting.
What app did you use?
