I can't thank you enough. Your video was clear, simple and effective. I am very new to "cricuting" and do not know anything. However, I feel I can now try making some stickers!
I would love to have your eBook. You have inspired and given me so much knowledge on designing and producing beautiful products. Especially, learning how to do mock ups.
SO I made stickers before but it has been a long time. There was an issue with the cuts not lining up with my design. I think I had to select the A4 in my printer pref. But now that is not working is there another "hack/fix" you would recommend? the paper is letter sized. But when I print then cut it does not line up :(
Excellent tutorial! Used this morning, to make stickers for some Favor Bags for my Advent Dinner tomorrow night. I used the image from my invite to make the stickers. Plus Tips: using the offset to make the boarders on a png image imported... and making a size box for layout that was the print to cut size. Also, the attach and flatten steps to not cut the image, but the outline. I seem to always have to revisit this whenever I am doing print to cut. Finished product is perfect!
The stickers look awesome. You have to unzip the file in your downloads folder and save it and then you can preview the images like you're wanting to do. It will eliminate u saving them one by one as well. 😊 hope that helps
You're very welcome. Let me know if you were able to figure it out or if you have any questions, I'd be happy to help. You're going to be in your glory and wanting to craft more once you start doing that with your files. Haha! @@Cricuter
Thanks so much 😊It was so much easier than I thought! Learning new projects and techniques can be so intimidating!! But then once you do it it's like...that wasn't hard at all!
this may or may not answer your question in your video but if you go to the top when you are in downloads where it says VIEW, you will then click EXTRA LARGE ICONS and it should show you the actual picture. we tried it with a PNG file on our computer an that was how it was made visible vs the icon you see in your video that isnt the actual picture
I have tried to make stickers on clear sticker paper but my explore air 2 will not cut them out. It says it can't read the registration makes? not sure what I'm doing wrong. Can you help me please
I have a question. How do you get the machine to cut out each sticker all the way thru to the backing? I don’t want to have to hand cut each sticker and would rather the sticker frame cutout be just a bit larger all the way thru. Wow hope that makes sense
What you're referring to is "kiss cut" vs "die cut." A die cut completely cuts through the material and liner, while a kiss cut only cuts through the printable layer. If you use the new Create Sticker button, you should be able to choose your cut style - die-cut or kiss-cut. I think that Create Sticker button is a Cricut Access feature, though. Without using the sticker button, I've used the washi setting for kiss cut and the printable sticker paper with more pressure for die cut. I've also heard people use the cardstock setting with more pressure for die cut.
This is amazing! I hope the controls are pretty similar since I’m using an iPad. Question though, what if you want a holographic cover for the stickers too? Do you just recut the same thing but with the holo cover and layer them?
I'm not sure about that. I don't have an iPad. I imagine design space would be the same regardless of what you're using it on. Check out this video on my channel about working with laminate film: ruclips.net/video/ZFcVT--HhB8/видео.html
Not sure exactly what you said you did, but when a folder is downloaded as a zipfile, if you open it and then drag the folder that appears to your D drive or whatever storage you have on the computer, they will then open as previews in the new location. Or you can control A to highlight all the zipfile photos, control C to copy them and then paste into a new file in your storage drive. I do this with photography which also doesn't provide a preview when it downloads in zipfile format.
What can you use r to layer over the stickers before cutting to weather proof the stickers. And will you need to change the cut type to accommodate the thickness? Thanks
Cricut just came out with some new waterproof printable stickers. I would use these for outdoor use. cricut.com/en-us/materials/material-type/printables-stickers/printable-waterproof-sticker-set---us-letter-6-ct/2010348.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjwmvSoBhDOARIsAK6aV7hp04KNY6qvruFB1Zt1VnrGEd-Sg2lNwh0yBh1HsxWc8u0mdxWwbJ8aAiA4EALw_wcB
The Cricut is not a printer. It is a cutting machine. You need a separate inkjet or sublimation printer to print out your designs. Then the Cricut machine can cut out the shape.
Hi I watched ur tutorial and it was perfect I had a few questions. So the sticker I purchased was clear so when you Peel it off it doesn’t have white where it should be Did I oree see r the wrong thing I’ll send u a pic. Also for some reason my first row came out fine but the rest is completely off and I’m basically wasting my sheets I didn’t calibration and everything I’m hoping u could help me
You probably accidentally bought transparent sticker paper instead of white. I did the same thing before for Cricut's brand of waterproof sticker paper
It’s weird because some of the stickers did stay white in the design where others went clear. It’s my 1st time doing it so it was an experiment and not as easy as it looks. Can you Send me the brand you buy so I can order that
That's correct. You upload the design into Cricut design space, then load printable vinyl into an inkjet printer, then cut out the printed sheet with the Cricut. Do you have a Cricut yet?
Such a hard question to answer because it depends on so many factors like how often you use the machine, what types of materials you cut, etc. I change mine once weeding becomes difficult. Like if you're trying to cut out a small intricate vinyl design and it tears or doesn't cut through all the way, that's when I change it. Probably every 3-6 months.
why come three of my stickers I chosed to use when i go to Offset it has weld offsets box checked and i can't offset it. I have even unchecked the box and still nothing,
I just came across your channel and watched two of your videos. Thank you for being so informative! I am definitely interested in purchasing your ebook. Please let me know how much and when I could get it.
Very helpful video! Thank you for posting. I don't have a Cricut yet, but I have already been designing stickers in Photoshop. I'm a bit unsure of what my file should and should not include though. From what I can see you doing in Design Space, I think it needs me to create a PNG file with my stickers on a transparent background, as a single flattened layer, is that correct you think? My next question is about the outlines of my stickers. For my current designs I'm not using any outlines. Let's say I have a square divided in two colors. Will Design Space be able to locate its outlines, or does it need a single uninterrupted color as an outline? Thank you. :)
You can import pngs, jpgs, and svgs. You can make a white background on the sticker using the offset tool or by putting a shape behind it. Without a background the machine will cut out each shape in the design. So if it was a name it would cut out each letter without a background. You can flatten your images in Design Space.
@@Cricuter Thank you for the reply. So, if I wanted to cut, let's say, a colored square, like a single side of a Rubik's Cube, can I cut it without adding a white border around it?
So you're taking the vinyl/sticker paper and putting it into a printer that prints the design and the cricut cuts it out? Is there a cricut machine that prints the design on the paper and cuts it out? I want to make stickers but i have no clue where to start. If its as easy as loading special sticker paper into a printer and using a cricut to cut its that seems easy.
Exactly! The printer prints it and then the Cricut cuts it. There are no Cricut machines that print. They only cut. Make sure you go with a Maker or Explore if you want to make stickers

I definitely skip ahead so here I am again watching
Haha we all do it! I try really hard to only put the important info in my videos so you should never have to worry about needing to skip past anything useless.
I would love to have a copy of an ebook. Just let me know what is needed from me. TIA
I just gotta finish writing it 🖊 🙂 love the support though!
Thanks
Of course! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I dont think you can preview inside a zipped folder? I think you have to extract content and then the preview works. Great video by the way, thank you.
I think you're right! Thanks for the comment!
Would love an eBook!
That's the motivation I need 🤩
Thanks for the great informative video. I dont know if anyone else has mentioned it but you have a loud hum in the background of the video. I thought it was maybe me but i paused the video and it stopped and changed with the different things you showed.
Yeah I'm aware. My webcam was picking up on the sound of my laptop running. I fixed the issue in my future videos. Thank you!
You have to "extract" the zip files. Then you will have a "preview"
Thank you!
You have to extract the zip to preview.
