I live in Northern Indiana. A lot of seasons cross over. Sometimes I really do need the long sleeves in July. Sometimes I do need short sleeves in December. I rotate my wardrobe from front to back but I never put them in storage.

I'm laughing so hard when she told us that Leyla was born in a rat year that's why she hangs on to things. I was also born in a rat year and I hang on to so many things. Not just clothes, but house things that I know I don't use. I hang on to them by telling myself I will use them one day in the future. Haha. I still have clothes from middle school and high school. Things I haven't wear for so long and probably will never wear, but i just can't get rid of them. This video is so helpful. Before changing hangers, I got those triangular boxes from the cleaners to recycle hangers...and I put the old plastic hangers into them one by one. MUCH easier than picking them up one by one from a pile in which hangers are grabbing on to one another!

i was starting to believe that I had way too much clothes and I haven't done any shopping for the last 6 months out of guilt. I prefer not boxing up because I live in a country where the weather makes no sense and you might wear all season cloths in each season. And if I box it up I forget I own it and then I don't wear it.
I live in the USA, and last week on Monday it snowed but 2 days before it was 75 degrees (Fahrenheit) I cant box up anything because even though we have vague seasons it’s not exact.

Leyla, you could have your flared jeans altered into a skinny jean if there's some stretch in them. And the capped sleeve "bee" dress - get the tailor to take the sleeves off if that'll improve the fit / look on you. Just some ideas. I've gone through a similar exercise recently. All the the best.

I loved those flared pants.I think you should update them! I saw a picture on pinterest of a girl wearing flared pants that were slightly tailored to make her thighs look slim, an off white button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up, and some heels. It looked so nice.

I know this is late, but what ages and grade do you work in? If you work with younger, more active kids, I would recommend wearing a nice pair of slacks and maybe a simple blouse. For older grades, I think you can be a little more professional looking.
Here in Portugal the spring and autumn are still very hot and we usually layer short sleeve with little jackets so I feel I can't put summer clothes away, in spring and autumn. How can I work this situation? Loved the video, great tips x x

It seems to be standard rule to throw things out that you haven't worn in over a year. I actually rediscover things sometimes. People ask me if I've got somehting new and then it's something that I've had for years, but stopped wearing for some reason. I've got my own vintage things!

the velvet hangers or cloth hangers are great. they prevent dresses with thin straps, or silky fabrics from sliding off!
