If Apple plans on going forward with an "Ultra" model, there's no way I ever buy a premium iPhone ever again; if in 5 years things don't get better, I'm definitely considering a Pixel again (I went from an iPhone 7+ to a Pixel 3a back then and it was a great couple of years).
There needs to be more focus on the price. In Germany the Pixel 7 Pro 128GB costs 899€ and the iPhone 14 Pro Max 128GB 1449€. After 10 years of using Apple I no longer want to support this price policy. I bought the Pixel 7 Pro today.
The S23 Ultra in Canada starts at $1649. I just ordered the Pixel 7 Pro this morning, 256GB model, for $1109, $200 off. No idea on the iPhone, because I'm not interested. Okay, I looked. 14 Pro Max starts at $1549. I'm coming from the Note 10+, so size-wise I don't expect to see/feel much difference there other than rounded corners. I'm most looking forward to the Pixel cameras and Google's software extras like voice transcription and call screening. I had the S23 Ultra in my cart ... but in the end, I just couldn't see any reason it was worth $6-700 more (after taxes ... 13% here). I will miss the ECG function on my Galaxy Watch 4 Classic after I switch though. Maybe they'll eventually push that out for non-Samsung phones. It's a really nice watch though, so I have no plans to flip it for a Pixel Watch ... especially with that whole domed glass thing it has going on. Honestly, if I didn't want the telephoto (I use a lot of zoom in pictures, so it's important to me) I'd have probably gone with the regular Pixel 7 to get the flat display. Can't stand curved screens, but all the phones I want still have them.

Great comparisons. Although I'm heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem I've been attracted to the Pixel 7 phones (Pro and standard) since they released, partly because of the physical design but mostly because of what you get for the money. Lots of bang for the buck.
I returned my P7P because the battery for a device with 5000ma is mid. Battery is average, camera over processes shots aren’t 100% accurate and the optimisation on Android isn’t optimal yet. Also personal note, Android 13 looks like it was designed by children. Realistically talking you will only pick a pixel over an iPhone for the price or os preference.
Being in Canada I went with the 256GB version of the Pixel 7 Pro for under $1,000 with a non-iPhone trade-in. The S22 Ultra ($1,650) is priced close to the iPhone 14 Pro Max and the 256GB variant of the iPhone is $1,700. Samsung doesn't give good value on trade-ins and Apple is arrogant and says any non-Apple product should simply be recycled. So the decision was simple for me and I went with the value option. I appreciate that the Apple is a higher quality phone, but I like the flexibility that Android offers and Google's emphasis on making the phone work better as an actual phone. I was going to switch to the iPhone 15 Pro Max if it has a periscoping zoom lens with a zoom of at least 5X because of the need to use AirTags. However, this might change if Google comes out with an AirTag equivalent that has a similar sized network. In that case I see no need for the iPhone. I don't really care by the better utilization of certain social media platforms on iOS and I haven't really bought into the Apple ecosystem. As an example, for video call I generally use WhatsApp simply because a lot of people outside North American have Android phones and I can't connect with them using FaceTime. I do have an iPad. I can get a renewed Samsung s22 ultra battery condition above 90% for 900 Australian dollars or 580 dollars USD and I can get a pixel 7 pro for the same price and a iPhone 14 Pro pre owned for the same so my thoughts are the best value is the S22 ultra
Here in NZ I can get a Pixel 7 Pro for $800 less than either of the other two. $1300 is a lot of money for a phone but $2100 or even more? Not even a contest.
Pixel modems and Bluetooh connectivity issues (Pixel 2, 4A, 6, 7pro) forced me into the Apple cult. I do miss stock Android. Samsung phones is a constant Samsung vs Google battle for attention (Note 5)
3 good phones but in my opinion iPhone 14 Pro Max and S22 Ultra are ahead. S22 Ultra is more complete with features but Battery Life and Video and are for iPhone. S22 Ultra is more complete in Photos and with Android/One Ui features. Google AI Features are nice but a little bit overated plus main reasons, a weakest chip and only 3 years of Software updates is not smart from Google. S22 Ultra and 14 Pro Max are very closed : 2 very good choices if you live in North America. Living in Europe, S23 smartphones have now Snapdragon so i would definitly go to S23 smartphones.
The quality of filming on the iPhone has always been better than other phones. And the good thing about its photography is that it does not perform many software operations on the photo, unlike Android phones
My S22 Ultra lagged like crazy and had mediocre battery life (on Snapdragon! I couldn’t even imagine Exynos). Really turns me off from Samsung and I gave up after 6 months of dealing with it. Using the 14 Pro Max and Pixel 7 Pro (primary camera) now. No doubt the S23 Ultra fixed some of the issues the S22s had. At least I hope.
I have the s22 ultra and it's been an amazing phone. Every phone has stutters & lags but i have excellent performance & very solid battery life(6 hours screen on time) and im on the Exynos version, the S23 is more like an S22.5 than a worthy upgrade, no S22 Ultra owner should upgrade to it
I use s22 ultra as my personal phone and iphone 14 pro max for work. I hate it, it's boring, lacklustre and that huge chuck of screen missing... lol. Give me the s22 ultra all day every day. All this talk about iPhone having brighter screen is utterly garbage. Yes on paper but in real life absolutely not. And s22 ultra has a toggle for extra bright screen which is brighter than the iPhone ever gets in real world
The S22 ultra will be going cheaper from now on and it still does 98% of what the S23 ultra can do , for some people it will be a good cheaper alternative.
The iPhone 14 Pro Max is still the best phone of 2023, sorry. Pixel lol. Pixel is mid as fuck. Put GrapheneOS to make it good. Imagine buying a Pixel and having to put a custom rom to have a better experience than the Google “I’ll suck all your data” experience
Correct order comparison = [S20 ultra vs iPhone 11 pro max] [S21 ultra vs iPhone 12 pro max] [S22 ultra vs iPhone 13 pro max] [S23 ultra vs iPhone 14 pro max]
Looks like that snap dragon 8 Gen 2 pretty much caught up to that bionic chip in CPU performance and kills it in GPU performance. 300,000 higher on on AnTuTu. Watch out Apple

I can get a renewed Samsung s22 ultra battery condition above 90% for 900 Australian dollars or 580 dollars USD and I can get a pixel 7 pro for the same price and a iPhone 14 Pro pre owned for the same so my thoughts are the best value is the S22 ultra
talking about "not wasting money"...why would you event consider overpriced Pro/Ultra models?? They are oversized and not worth the little upgrade
If the Pixel only has 3 years of support and updates, you’ll have to buy another one to last 6 years taking it $1798. So is that really the best value
Samsung phones is a constant Samsung vs Google battle for attention (Note 5)
wallpaper??
Damn, that's a niiiice thumbnail!
Thanks Brad!!! Took more work than it probably looks 😂🤣
Thank you for sharing ☺️

Who else clicked on this video thinking twas s23 ultra😂. I actually went as far as downloading only to find out that it's the s22ultra
I’ll have my S23 comparison video up soon.
@@TechGearTalk Okay then
Pixel cost 1100$ here in India
Pixel is still 👑
in Germany the iPhone 14 pro max is much more expensive ($1579)
google p7p - $790
samsung s22 ultra - $910
That’s such a crazy difference.
Can u make a iPad air 5 battery test pls
And s22 ultra has a toggle for extra bright screen which is brighter than the iPhone ever gets in real world
ok...............
That first shot of the three phones together the notch (island whatever) is clearly noticeable and takes your attention.
It’s definitely more noticeable.
Just on price alone. The pixel is the winner winner chicken 🍽️
Love your videos from Afghanistan. You’re number one fan what’s going
Why s22 ultra when we already have the s23 ultra. Is this video about the best phone 2022?
Yes, I think I started out saying best phone of 2022. I’ll have my S23 soon and will work on that comparison as well. Super excited.
In Bangladesh iphone cost 140k where's s22 cost around 86k i should go S22
It’s a much better value there. Almost 40 % less. Thank you for being part of the channel!
Playing genshin impact on pixel 7 pro drains the battery faster than the speed of light
You should’ve done the S23 ultra instead.
Coming soon.
im iphone user but if i have to switch to android pixel all the way
I appreciate you watching and sharing your perspective.
Sound like Iphone fun guy
Bro the s23 just came out …
Yesterday
Yup - I’ll have it soon.
Must include s23 ultra
Will do - as soon as I get mine and test it out.
@@TechGearTalk That's Fine 😊
Waiting For S23 Ultra review
I got you!
Rachel from friends just entered the chat
WE WERE ON A BREAK!!! 🤣😂 Thanks for watching.
The s23 ultra just came out why need to compare the s22 ultra
The S22 ultra will be going cheaper from now on and it still does 98% of what the S23 ultra can do , for some people it will be a good cheaper alternative.
Cause hes comparing 2022 phones, next iphone will be compared to s23 ultra
I’ll do an s23 ultra comparison after some use.
Watching it on my S22 ultra❤
Nice! Hope you’re enjoying it.
@@TechGearTalk Thanks
Do you want a cookie? Lol
Well waste cash on none of these. There is an S23 ultra
Love from India
Appreciate you.
You don't have to change it at all. If you're worried about your data, you should not be using a smart phone at all.
@@mjjones1045 yes imagine caring for privacy on your own device, right ? :clueless:
@@mjjones1045 and you don’t have to, but if you do, you have an overall better experience starting with battery. 💋
pixel is the best
Correct order comparison =
[S20 ultra vs iPhone 11 pro max]
[S21 ultra vs iPhone 12 pro max]
[S22 ultra vs iPhone 13 pro max]
[S23 ultra vs iPhone 14 pro max]
Soon.
@@TechGearTalk yep!
why are u still comparing with s22 ultra when the new s23 ultra is here
Cause hes comparing 2022 phones, next iphone will be compared to s23 ultra, atleast thats my guess
Because it’s not “here” 😉. Soon.
It'll be an even worse spanking. No need to rush right lol.
In Ukraine Iphone cost 2 times more than pixel
Oh wow! Thank you for the info!
Wth
The s23 ultra is out
Thanks for watching. Those videos will be out as soon as it’s ready.
@@TechGearTalk
Can't wait for the comparison video.
Looks like that snap dragon 8 Gen 2 pretty much caught up to that bionic chip in CPU performance and kills it in GPU performance. 300,000 higher on on AnTuTu. Watch out Apple
Absolutely love my pixel 7 pro 🔥. Cheers from Australia. 😎🇦🇺🪃🍻
