    ● outstanding performance and battery life
    ● Spen has lower latency, more precise tip for drawing, more features, works without charge and comes for free
    ● OneUI is has way more features than ipadOS and is better optimised for taking advantage of big screen and integration with the pen
    ● Not as much PRO apps as ipad but the ones it has have been great to me so far: AutoCad, ClipStudio, Krita, Canva, Concepts, BimX, Lightroom, Microsoft Office, Google apps, Samsung Notes and now LumaFusion

I have an iPad Air 4th gen that I only use for my hobbyist art/sketching. While I probably won't (and have no reason to) upgrade, the S8 Ultra is really tempting, especially so after using the S Pen with my phone (S22 Ultra).
The biggest detractor is that I just haven't found any drawing/art app as good as Procreate on Android.
Clip Studio is OK, but I have yet to get used to it's interface yet. With the free version only allowing 1 hour per day of use, I haven't had the time to figure everything out, and I don't want to subscribe to it until it feels natural to use.

Regarding the drawing apps , a lot of them while technically very good if you are familiar with them , some of them are just not intuitive, and at least from my point of view take a long long painful time to learn how they work.
Some of them for example have hidden menus with no obvious tell tale clues how to access them , and even when you find menus or tool boxes and select a tool it just does not work the logical way you would expect , and at times it is just frustrating to the point of I just close the app and do something else .
Some of them are just I’m sorry to say utterly terrible and not user friendly if you have never used them before .
It’s funny I remember some old paint programs from back in the amiga days ( showing my age here ), and even though they where not powerful machines like today and did not have a lot of resources in computer power the software was nicely written and just so easy to use.

I have the S8 Ultra, and it's amazing. I only have one complaint, and an opportunity for improvement in the next iteration of this tablet: the reflections are a bit much on this screen. In dim environments with no backlight at all, it is superb. But even the slightest backlight and I start seeing myself and other objects behind me on the screen. I haven't tried both tablets side-by-side, but I have owned older iPad pros, and I don't remember I had this issue with any of them, or else I would've noticed it.

All the professional apps are in iPad’s ecosystem, and the ones that both platforms share, the iPad version is always the best, getting updates first before Android even. I can tell you all are hobbyists and not professionals because of that one statement alone. The same Video editor that movie houses use are on iPads, and not on Android. Same for Adobe’s entire suite, their android versions are such an unstable and feature-lacking joke. The M2 chip makes this possible, and makes Samsungs tablet more of a casual toy.

The Ultra is more customizable, and probably better overall with multitasking. But the guts of my work are within apps, and sharing a second display with my MacBook Pro.

Yep, android apps cant simply compete with apple's app store. It is the reason why pick up an ipad pro instead of an android tablet. I've always been an android fanboy and hated apple devices due to their ridiculous prices, but after using the ipad pro, it is really difficult not to recommend it (even though the price is still ridiculously expensive). Until art specific apps mature in the android space, I'd probably stick with the ipad

The screen is considerably better on the Samsung in 99% of use cases. If you're using it outside on a sunny day with the sun behind you then the extra brightness may be worth it. In every other regard the OLED is better

Also from a professional perspective in light room etc for photo editing you get a full work flow version on the Samsung, the ipad version of the app is useless. Being that the Google app store is far larger than the apple app store you'll find this is more often the case. There are only a handful of apps which don't exist on the Samsung, where there are hundreds that don't exist on the app store

By default i think i speak for most every day ipad pro 12.9 users when i say we want balanced width and length this thing just ain’t it, on screen keyboard would be harder to use ease of use and reach would be annoying but if it was equally as balanced in width and became that larger size that possibly could end up happening with the ipad it’s possible people buy it but i highly doubt it since when you pay such high prices for a tablet it’s gotta be more than just an everyday Netflix and chill kinda thing the more power the better and the more the devices core power the more you’ll realise it’s either for you or not.

Ive been a Samsung Dex user since 2017, and I still am (still using my Galaxy Note 8). But in reality, the strongest point of the android eco system is at best on consumption only. Sure they have better file management, and a desktop like experience with its variable window sizing capability, but beyond that, other than some note taking app, and MS Office, and some good emulators, there’s really nothing else there. The iPad, on the other hand, is all about high quality applications like MS Office, Notability, GarageBand (for sound production), iMovie and Focos Live (for video editing), etc. Apple might not have a “desktop like” windows management feature, but the iPad is not just a consumption device. Rather because of the great number of high quality, professional level applications to do actual work, the iPad is a TRUE productivity tool. Again, I use samsung as my primary phone, and I know Samsung Dex very well, but when it comes to tablet, and productivity, iPad is still superior, not because of the spec sheet, but because of what it can actually do. (PS. I’ve produced over 100 songs, and over 30 high quality videos in my two years of using iPad, but has not been able to create those things since 2017 with my Samsung Dex, because of lack of high quality apps in Android, unfortunately).

Apple iPad in a lot of ways is iPhone L (android 12L (large)lol) but it's a step in the right direction giving iPad its os and putting more horsepower into their iPads their tabs should do that like come on 512GB max like what is this is it 2016, 512GB is usually the base storage of laptops or even 1TB and here Samsung is maxing out at 512GB on a 14.6" display. I know Samsung has an sd card slot but it isn't as fast as internal storage and it doesn't fully act as a USB internal storage and even if SD card acted as internal storage I'd still want ultra internal storage opition. And 128GB or 256GB shouldn't be the base of a 15" laptop sized even on mobile I agree 256GB should be the bare minimum now that we're getting into 2023 we aren't at subways surfer timez anymore

My biggest confusion and just generally really don't understand about Android tablets or Android in general is that first why don't Android smartphones have face ID sensors for biometric authentication? That is the most secure way to protector the informations within it plus they're in the past has had one or two and Android smartphones with this 3D depth sensoring technology. This shows that they definitely do have the ability to do such creations. For example the Huawei Mate Pro Series smartphones does have the 3D facial recognition sensors plus the original Vivo find X from 2018 also had that. A lot of android companies doesn't want to disturb the display that much with a notch but even the original Galaxy Z fold from 2019 had a knowledge with triple cameras which why couldn't they replace that with the face ID sensors. Now about the tablets, since they have a decently sized bezel for the face ID sensors to actually be placed within and also not disturbing display why wouldn't they do the 3D face ID scanners to their tablet at least?

I have never used iPad in my life but I'm planning to buy iPad pro m2 so am I taking a right decision? It is for office work, gaming

Depends on what you’re using for office work. If it’s light business work you could get buy with an iPad Air and probably the new iPad 10th gen. Unsure if it’s 10th. For gaming and if you prioritize gaming on the iPad and play online games against others, then the Pro 1T with 16gb of ram versus the same iPad Pro with less storage which has 8gb of ram instead. I was thinking of getting the iPad Pro but instead went with the cute iPad Air 5 in purple 256gb and an iPad mini 6 for reading. I don’t do my main gaming on my iPad so that’s not as important for me. But I play some games like GTA San Andreas on it and the iPad Air M1 chip does more than I need. I use it for video editing and drawing. I use my iPad Air 4 for media consumption and my iPhone or mostly my TV which I prefer. The iPad Air 5 is amazing and works great. Never had an issue just one thing. For drawing. A bigger canvas would be nice. Hover feature would be nice but it’s not a necessity. I WILL get the next pro model but for now I’m super happy with the air and was able to also get an iPad mini for reading because reading in bed on my Air was very uncomfortable but if I read on my couch, it’s fine with the Air

No reason (except for greed) for Apple not to have 16gb in even the base model. Not making you to get the top two models to get 16gb standard.

Does anyone know of an Android note taking app that comes with a virtual ruler? I noticed that Samsung Notes on S8 Ultra doesn't have it, while Apple Notes has it.
