Thank you dude! That part of the solo always gives me chills, Gilmour's phrasing in the middle section is just incredible. Definitely the trickiest part for me as well.
@@kennyrieley could you please look my version on my channel ? It s just before my fingers stopped working properly. I have a multiple sclerosis. I hope i will play again one day.. you can see my movements sometimes stranges with bad notes ...
This was pretty much perfect. Would you make a video playing this this slower and break it down ? I’ve seen the other full tutorials but your cover sounded the most accurate to me
О мой Бог, весьма чистое исполнение соло на гитаре, мне очень понравилось! Может быть сможете записать High Hopes или Sorrow в одном из будущих видео?)
Thank you dude! I'm using the Line 6 Helix plugin and pretty much just following Gilmour's signal chain: Compressor - Big Muff - Tube Driver - Hiwatt amp and cab - Vibe Rotary - Delay - Reverb. Using a doubler effect as well for that wide chorus-y sound and the Vibe Rotary is to simulate Gilmour's Yamaha RA-200 revolving speaker. I'd definitely recommend checking out Gilmourish.com if you're looking for info about his gear and sound over the years, helped me a lot!
Thank you dude! The backing track is by Andrey Korolev and is available here: andreykorolev.bandcamp.com/track/pink-floyd-comfortably-numb-pulse-solo-backing-track

@@RichInternationalAir Thanks man! Yeah and I'm pretty sure I had the doubler last in the chain but you could experiment with the placement to see what works for you; best to place all modulation after the amp though. You could try a chorus/flanger like the Electric Mistress as well since it was part of Gilmour's effects chain from Animals onwards I think. I'd definitely recommend checking out Gilmourish.com for info about Gilmour's sound over the years, I found it really helpful!
@@kennyrieley Thank you so much. Your attention to detail is great, I've only learned the 1st solo. It'll be some time before I learn the 2nd. And a great while before I learn this amazing version. Thank you again for being helpful. 🎸

Thank you dude! It's a right-handed Jimi Hendrix Signature Strat; which just has the reversed headstock and pickups rather than the whole guitar being flipped Hendrix-style :)

I may be highly emotional right now, and I am. But 2 weeks ago I found out I have a daughter. The girl is 7 years old and is incredibly cute and highly intelligent. And I'm going to learn to play the guitar for her
@@kennyrieley Thank you so much! What a gift that was, from the first meeting, was her hiding behing her mother (my ex) and the car. To later that evening where she refused to come down from my shoulder and stuck to me like a fucking tick. Absolutely amazing experience! 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Thank you dude! I wish I had used more delay for the 'waving' part at 3:16 to get a bit closer to Gilmour's PULSE tone. I love that he boosted it there to create the swirling sound with the long trails. Yeah his tone was really saturated during this section, with the amp and effects pushing the signal to the edge of feedback. Amazing control and such a cool sound! "A guitar crying" is the perfect way to describe it!
I'm using more of a David Gilmour signal chain and trying to bridge the tonal gap between the vintage-sounding Hendrix Strat and the smoother, darker and more compressed sound of Gilmour's pickups. Finally I found maybe the third person who plays it as it should be played, congratulations
Thanks Jan!
Words can't describe how good this is he went way out there for us and was able to bring this one back
