As David Gilmor's wife said about him, David struggles to express himself emotionally with words, but stick a guitar in his hands and he makes you feel everything.
Greatest solo of all time. Yes, the guitar is singing. Even if your brain can't understand the words...you heart understands every bit of it. A masterwork.
I usually don't think much of all the extra 'junk' Pink and many big bands have going on during the music, but this song this solo this performance this setting fit so well with the lights and effects, I wish I was there!
FYI... David's solo on this song is widely recognized as the greatest guitar solo of all time. I've had the honor of seeing this song played live 4 times dating back to 1981. The first time I saw PF live was in 1975, at nite, outdoors, in a stadium with 80,000 people in quadrophonic sound. I am 67 years old now and I remember that nite as a 17 year old kid feeling that my life had just changed.
my first concert at the age of 11..... will never forget that night. My all time favourite band, a life changer! So so sorry that we will never experience PF again.
I have played with tons of musicians. I have been to literally hundreds and hundreds of concerts since the early 70s and David Gilmour is the only guitarist that made me shed a tear and he's done it every time I have seen him live. HIs hands are connected to his heart and soul and they all speak together fluently. He is the lesson that you don't have to play a thousand notes a second to be good. You have to make every note count for something.
I cried during both solos. I've not seen this performance before, but seen others and loved the solos...but not wept. I dunno what it was this time...😂😊
Two things 1) I still get goosebumps listening to that solo and I've heard it hundreds of times. 2) Thank you _very_ much for not interrupting the song like many other reaction video people do to discuss things. Interrupting that solo is a crime before man and God. :D

@trevorjameson3213 I'm glad you do. Next time, let me know and I'll give the guy a visit to say hello--Saw Floyd in their last Concert Division Bell in the Old Yankee Stadium. Absolutely amazing.
In my opinion, this is the greatest guitar solo in history. There may be others that are more technical, that play more notes, that may be more technically perfect, but this one just.......hits. It hits something primal inside of me. The last minute or two is almost transcendental. I don't know why, and I don't know how, I have no background in music, and have no musical ability whatsoever, but I love music and it is a huge part of my life. I have never heard another piece of music that can touch some part of me in this way. David Gilmour created art here.
Nicely put, John. I'm like you in the no musical ability but love music place. I've listened to this songs in various versions hundreds of times over the last 44 years, and it has never failed to move me. Prior to "Numb" I never knew a guitar solo could bring tears. It's too bad Gilmour has reached an age where we can't expect much more new music from him, but, thankfully, he and fellow Floyders created such a large catalog we'll never run out of things to re-listen to and learn from. And, despite his lesser likeability quotient, I'm also very grateful to Roger Waters for his inspiration and contributions -- without both David and Roger, PF would never have achieved what they did.
I do have a background in music and I can assure you I feel exactly the same way you do. At the end of the day music is about emotion. And Pink Floyd have always had an amazing ability to draw that emotion from the listener.
Pink Floyd is a unique combination of epic, sentiment and emotion. Pink Floyd enters you and frees this bird that was not meant for captivity. A music that, if you let it, will take you on a journey that has no end indefinitely and will bring you to a place where you will find yourself again.
I love this song, this is my favourite rock song , and I respect your opinion, but are you sure you do not want to hear some of the great music out there that might make you feel as great.
When I was 10 my brother was watching me, he put me in front of the tv, put in a VHS tape and I watched The Wall for the first time, It was the most amazing music, and I remember it like yesterday been a big fan ever since and that was in 1983
David Gilmour is one of the greatest, most emotive guitarists in all of popular/rock music. His playing isn't overly technical, but his solos on so many songs carry you away to places nobody else can. So glad you got to experience this one.
@@picklesmcmillan217 the ability to play licks and cram a ridiculous amount of notes into a second of time doesn't make it better, unless you are Stevie Ray Vaughan. The thing that Malmsteen and and Vai don't get is that music isn't a race. Go look up my countryman, Tommy Emmanuel, and find a guitarist who can do both, and you'll find Jerry Douglas on your travels. Maybe you'll hate the music, but you'll see some serious craftsmen at work.
I’m old. So old it sucks. BUT, David Gilmore, Rick Wright, Nick Mason AND Roger waters have given me 50 Years of wet eyed, heart wrenching, beautiful music and I’ll never be able to adequately express my lifelong thanks. I LOVE YOU GUYS.
I'm pissed off at old people ! ...I'm old now too, and those old SOB's before me didn't give me a head's up on everything crapping out as I got in my 60's. Now in my mid-60's, I gotta chase 70-80 year old's on the golf course and they won't tell me anything now either. We're doomed ! But I'm still comfortably numb.
I might not be as old, but, let us not forget Syd Barrett. A Crazy Diamond that helped these Legends come together. He was the Piper at the Gates of Dawn.
I was Blessed to grow up near the Spectrum in Philly during the 70's and witnessed many a great show. Anyone who has experienced any of Floyd's shows knows there aren't words. I saw this tour at Mile High in Denver. Blessed is an understatement. Speechless for daze..
What you said about David’s guitar singing is what makes him the greatest guitarist of all time in my opinion. You can hear the depths of his soul when he plays. Also, what is so great about Pink Floyd songs in general is how they give it time to germinate, the slow buildup, giving it time, nobody ever has done it quite like them. Seeing this performed live a couple of times, best experience of my life. I guess apart from my wedding and the birth of my kids, but honestly they’re all in the same conversation.
With all due respect, but seems to me that every long time Floyd admirer(I included, of course)wanna delete Roger Waters due to his tyrant behavior before The Wall!Or for sure, many people dislike his present ideology (me excluded)! But I say,if Lennon needed McCartney & vice versa,Roger needed Dave(& late Rick🙌🙏) ten times more & vice versa! I've always preferred Dave's esthetics & Roger's thought process! That combination made Pink Floyd greatest band ever(in my humble opinion). But those two have been in beef since late 70's & now they are even more distanced cause of war in Ukraine! I'm afraid that they'll pass without burring the hatchet! Sorry if I bored you, but that could possibly be real life Eclipse (btw, best tune that Roger was ever singing/Braindamadge🌚🙌🙏
@@josiplilic3384 At his core, Roger is a tortured poet. Great lyricist but an ass of a man. It takes nothing away from his lyrical genius but I am glad he's not in the band anymore . What he did to Richard Wright is unforgivable IMHO.
@@coolcat8b agree 💯 about Rick!!! Although I'm leaning left & agnostic,I have philosophy that everyone aside murderers, rapists, pedophiles & their protectors does deserve forgivnes if one showed remorse for the "past sins"(using quotation marks, cause I sound like a priest🙄😯😝🤣). Idk..I was following Roger recently & although he was showing signs of ego trips from past, his ideology is close to mine & he's been friendly with my beloved & favorite living intelectual,dr Cornel West! So at least, he's a half decent ass(in my book)! I just can't stand him singing Wish You Were Here 🤣 🤣🤣
@@coolcat8b one more quick point, you can't deduce Roger just to writing lyrics! He was least talented musician of them all,but he had gift of conceptualing,DSOTM for example,to perfection! Why do I feel like his lawyer now?
This song now makes me cry, cause it took a whole new meaning since I turned 50. On my 50th birthday, I went to see him in Toronto. When he sang " the child has grown, the dream is gone", it just hit me like a 2 x 4 on the head..
I'll be 64 in May, and my wife and I have been married for 42 years. We have seen Pink Floyd three times. We have seen EVERY major rock group, and NO ONE comes close to the pure, raw emotion that Pink Floyd does. And I must say, you have had the BEST reaction of any of the other reactors I have seen. Your emotions are pure, and that is refreshing in this day and age.
I would have to agree. Saw them indoors in 1987 and outdoors in '88 on the backend of that same tour. Living in the SF Bay Area, I have been to a lot of concerts in my day, including Bob Marley at the Kaiser Theater in Oakland. Pink Floyd was without question the best group I've ever seen perform live.
Know what would make the guitar solos better? Yeah, I don't either. Every note, every hold, every release, every bend, every hammer on, every pull-off was placed perfectly. It's such an amazing work. How many guitar solos can bring tears to your eyes?
When I was younger I appreciated the music, but as time passed I really come to appreciate it more bc with the trash and now AI crap and autotune you won't get this kind of music again. The solo goes through you, gets the heart going, adrenaline rushing. The best ever done
@@JM_daDoc Knopfler is another prime example, yes. Very valid. Still...so very few. Sad in a way, but at least we have these few examples to point to. Would be far sadder had we none.
Gilmore understands the power of timing and allowing a note to decay, to fade, to be that perfect moment. He is not the fastest on the strings, he doesn't power cord. He is just brilliant and lets the guitar shine to be the mirror on his soul and inner being.
I have been listening to Pink Floyd all my life and they are the only band that can make me travel emotionally to another level. I am 70 yrs old now and everytime I hear them again I feel like I did when I first heard them. Every morning I would listen to Comfortably Numb my whole day just lightened up, it was just like the sun had just come up and David solo at the end just lifted my spirits and filled me with a zest for life.
His solo at the end of Poles Apart is pretty sweet, too. I really love this song and I'm thankful that as Mr. Gilmour aged, he still sounded GREAT singing his parts of this song. Live 8 blew me away. I had tears in my eyes.
I'm the same age,so I know where your at and I agree with you 100% pink floyd where on another level every member of the band where masters at they're craft,,perfect...😮😮...
So refreshing to see a much younger person like yourself really enjoying the music of my time growing up, and getting it, really getting it and getting into it. How can you not? Love your heart felt reaction.
For me it wasn't how he got the whole audience to stand up and cheer, it was that the entire time, right up until the end he had them all mesmerized. No cheering, no waving, no cameras, they were all entranced in the music. Gilmor can make you feel every note.
Thank God this show was performed well before smartphones existed. It would be such a shame & a tragedy if everyone who was lucky enough to be there for that moment was obsessively trying to capture the magic & staring at their screens instead of simply being fully present in the moment and in total awe of what they were witnessing & feeling inside. One of the top greatest performances of all time
I was there and you are 100% correct. I was totally mesmerised from start to finish, just blown away and lost in an experience that I doubt will ever be equalled in my lifetime.
Remember when people enjoyed music without having to film it needing a music video? I do. Kids under 20 have no clue. If you don't film it, "it didn't happen", so they look at their screen rather than enjoying the music like they should.
Gilmor’s outro solo literally tells the story of the song. That minor drop is when the “numb” hits, concluding with the literal sirens wailing with the protagonist spiraling into that “numb” abyss. Such a masterpiece and work of art.
I've listened to this track many times, but holy crap, seeing this again now with your live reaction made my eyes tear up! As you said, his guitar sings!
there will never be another group of musicians who blend so well and make you feel the music everytime i hear this song it takes me to a better time in my life
This solo has to be one of the best I have ever seen. So much emotion and passion in his phrasing. I feel THIS is the best performance of this song. Just flawless from beginning to end, and by the end he literally has you in tears.
Comfortably Numb is one of the most extraordinary pieces of music ever composed. I always felt that towards the end, it became the funeral march of a lost and tormented soul. All of the anguish and regret of something glimpsed and lost is distilled and channeled into one extended searing cry. This never gets old. Ever. It speaks to something that we all know and cannot be expressed in any other way. Music - real music is a language all its own. Extraordinary musicians like David Gilmour can communicate their inner experiences as few can today. Gilmour’s guitar appears to be connected directly to his soul. Some musicians can manage that for a few moments. For Gilmour, it’s his natural state of being. It is unmistakable and cannot be faked.
My absolute favorite Pink Floyd song. As someone with neuro-muscular chronic pain, the lyrics of Roger Waters and the guitar of David Gilmore is a form of pain relief all their own. I've always said you don't just listen to PF, but you experience it.
It’s hard to react, and give pointers to things like stage presence with this band and this track. I think you nailed it Jan. Commitment (genius too) and it was really cool seeing you rock out. Awesome. Loved the reaction. I was there, and what people miss is that CN was in the encore, right at the end of the concert which included all of TDSOTM wish you were here etc. At that point I was hoarse, emotionally spent and then he did that. There is nothing, musically, I have experienced that has come close except maybe Beethoven’s 9th. This is nearly 30 years old. It won’t be surpassed…
Yeah, there were the trippy mini movies, the light effects, the crazy teacher, the crazier pigs, the airplane, the vapors floating around... it's a miracle there were no casualties (other than the bleachers falling at one show - if memory serves.)
I was there too - I took my son and the show was amazing, we didn't want it to end, but with an ending like that - it was truly a whole body experience. That track alone demonstrates the power of top-notch rock music and PF are the best at it. People will still be playing that track 100 years from now. I hope!
I’m really glad you liked this so much as a young woman. I have seen the song performed many times live. (I’m now 63). But emotions always get the better of me whenever I hear or see it again. It’s not just nostalgia. I feel kind of sad that we will never hear such musicianship again.
David knows when and how to NOT play a guitar. In other words, he has mastered the art of just letting a note sing, letting that pause between notes linger to make you anxious in that split second, yearning for the release of that next note that you know is coming. He can hit you with a flurry that just about knocks you out of your seat and then pull back on the reigns, leaving you stunned into awe. Truly a master of his instrument and I wish more guitarists would learn that you don't always have to be hitting the strings as fast as your fingers are capable. His finesse and feel for the instrument is breath taking. As I say, he is a master of knowing when and how to NOT play the guitar!
@@tattoodude8946 Agree. I grew up listening to Be Bop in the early 70’s. When the shredders came along in the eighties it was difficult for me to appreciate their playing as I didn’t hear great ideas, just fast playing.
My brother-in-law passed away a number of years ago, and they played this song at his funeral. He was a very avid Pink Floyd fan. He even has "Comfortably Numb" on his tombstone. ...R.I.P. brother.
My sister passed away suddenly in January 2022, and Comfortably Numb was played at her funeral. Weirdly a few days earlier, when I was driving over to help with arranging things for her service, this track came on my cd player just as I was passing by her house!
I was privileged to see them perform four times between '87 and '94......epically flawless is about all I can say! And yes, still the intensity of the song and watching you get caught up in the sheer magnificence of the performance as well brought tears of joy and laughter. You should just go ahead and check out the full Pulse '94 show! Thanks and keep em coming!
Hell yeah! Saw them twice, in NYC Long island, 1988 and then in NJ 1989, East Rotheford Complex when the "Momentary Lapse of reason" album came out then when the Delicate sound of Thunder came out, will never forget those concerts, nothing like it to this day.
@@marcoss6212 Yep, same here in Oakland, California. When I left, I was literally in a daze. Maslow, who created the concept of "peak experiences" ...this was definitely one of them.
If you don't have that reaction when you hear this song, you really need to question yourself, seriously, this to me is the greatest song ever put to paper and played out.... That second solo is just astounding, it brings a tear to my eye every time I listen to it.
This performance never fails to give me goosebumps and tears of joy. Nothing else comes even close to the emotion David Gilmour is able to express through his guitar.
Just a normal "grandpa" dude with black t-shirt tucked in his jeans and his Fender Stratocaster. No tattoos, no piercings, no makeup, no auto-tune, no fancy clothes, just the best f@ck'g guitar solo of Rock and Roll history.
Even after all these years David's guitar solo in this song still brings tears to my eyes. OMG just doesn't seem to cover it. Thank you David for such a wonderful gift.
David Gilmour isn’t just a lead guitarist, he’s truly the master of his craft. I don’t think any guitarist on earth plays with such emotion and feeling as he does.
I close my eyes, lay my head back and Pink Floyd takes me to a special place. No other band has ever done that to me, the guitar work is pure heart & soul.
Never seen you so excited flailing your arms to the drums and banging your head. Loved it. I had the pleasure of seeing them live in 88 in Germany and to this day the best concert I have ever seen. You feel it in your soul
Saw Division Bell in San Antonio. It was the most totally immersive experience of my life. I was in Heaven on Earth. A true religious experience. After the concert people were silently walking toward the exits trying to comprehend what they just witnessed . Thanks for the reaction. This song always brings tears to my eyes.
So glad to see the emotion that you display towards this absolute masterpiece. I'm a 62 year old bloke whose had tough times in the past but this makes me cry and, as the solo nears it's climax, I feel like my body will rend and my soul will be lifted to the heavens. Totally stupendous and spiritual.
One of the things I love about reaction videos is the emotional response of the presenter and your absolute joy at listening to the music--a song I love, by the way--is an absolute delight. Thank you for sharing this. 💜
As a 50 year Pink Floyd fan, nothing makes me happier than to see reactions like this about this band that has always been so dear to me since my teen years in the 70’s. Thank you! You are adorable. 🤘
I love how immersed you got in this performance,,,, especially durring the solos,,, you appeared to be on the verge of joyful tears to witness the greatest guitar solo ever laid down
I´ve heard and seen this version of the song so many times. It is a long version but every time when the solo ends I think that it could last so much longer. I can´t get enough from that version and I will hear and see it many times more.
I need to say this to you. One of the best reactions ever. I saw this concert in 1994. I think the combination of the song's, the truly gifted musicians with the lights and video, floating pigs and crashing airplanes all contributes to their stage presence. My favorite part, is when the lights hit that giant disco ball because it reflected those light inside the entire stadium. Every soul in there was 'touched' by that. Made a part of the experience. Like you said, Real music! Thanks for sharing!
I enjoyed your reactions so much I had to subscribe immediately. You felt this solo exactly the way I have always felt it. So beautiful to watch in every way.
I always envy people who are only now experiencing Comfortably Numb. I'm 64 now , and ever since I saw The Wall at Earls Court in London in 81/82 that song has continued throughout my life to make me emotional every time I hear it. Thanks for the very honest and enjoyable reaction.
I couldn't agree more. It's always so satisfying to see a younger generation appreciate the talent of the past the way so. At the same time you can't be jealous of someone else hearing it for the first time. It's an experience we all wish we could have again.
I think it’s us that should be envious of you. You had the pleasure and the privilege to have grown up with some of the greatest bands to grace the Earth. I was born in the 90s, but I grew up with the Wall album because my dad owned the album.
Thank you for reacting to this performance. Being a huge fan of David Gilmour and Pink Floyd just wanted to say your reaction is awesome. To see someone just get lost in the moment and totally enjoy what they’re seeing, hearing, and feeling is beautiful. Thank you and this has to be one of my favorite reactions to this song.
Your reaction to this was brilliant. It's good to see young people reacting to Pink Floyd, i flew from Australia just for that concert 1994. David Gilmour can make a guitar, talk sing and cry all at the same time. he is the KING of feel on a guitar
What I love too is this solo is longer and 1000x better than the recorded track. The solo on the track is really good but I only listen to this live version because of this solo. It’s so much longer, more emotional, and the artistry is god tier. One of my favorite solos of all time.
I was there at he best gig ever, can you imagine the whole audience stunned to silence and immobile till the last bars! The atmosphere was magnetic and the entire hall was "Comftably Numb" incredible. Thank you for reminding me!
I've had possibility to listen to David Gilmour on stage in Wroclaw, Poland and Comfortably Numb was the last piece at this concert. I can tell just one thing - although I'm quite big and old man i was almost driven to tears. This performance I'll never forget!
I’ll tell you something Janet. I keep coming back to this reaction because Your reaction is the best reaction I’ve ever heard of this song. You feel every note of this like I do.
Hello Jannet, yes the spinning speaker does mean something. They are custom, higher powered versions of an old Leslie rotating speaker usually found in organs. They give this live performance that amazing swimming, chorus-like sound. By the way, I love your chirpy enthusiasm and appreciation for artistry.
I was just about to comment on the Leslie speaker before seeing your response. I would like to give kudos to Jannet for her curiosity about a revolving speaker, though. Other reactors have commented that it's just a spinning light, with one going as far to say that it must have been what they used "back in the old days" before strobe lights were invented -- but after laser beams and disco balls?!
@@islandseeker1260 . Hey thanks for the comment! I'm sure the special effects team were happy to utilise another lighting angle as a bonus though. Keep well and all the best.
The “classic” Leslie speaker design features two drivers-a treble driver with horns (only one works; the other simply acts as a counter-weight) and a bass driver. The horns of the treble driver and the sound baffle of the bass driver are physically rotated by electric motors.
"if you can get audience to stand like that, you have good stage presence." Thanks for validating what is regardless considered #1 live concert climax in rock history.

David Gilmour is one of the greatest, most emotive guitarists in all of popular/rock music. His playing isn't overly technical, but his solos on so many songs carry you away to places nobody else can. So glad you got to experience this one.

I'm old too, and different parts of my body hurts. But I belong to the generation growing up with this music, and I don't want to change that.
I feel the same way brother, so glad I was alive to witness it and see them in concert a few times

I was Blessed to grow up near the Spectrum in Philly during the 70's and witnessed many a great show. Anyone who has experienced any of Floyd's shows knows there aren't words. I saw this tour at Mile High in Denver. Blessed is an understatement. Speechless for daze..
You lucky bastard!...
i was there too, 28. Oktober 1994 and 29. Oktober 1994
May 1993 - simply incredible

To use your own words... "This solo alone.... it's telling a story". Exactly!! One of the most iconic solo's ever.
This song now makes me cry, cause it took a whole new meaning since I turned 50. On my 50th birthday, I went to see him in Toronto. When he sang " the child has grown, the dream is gone", it just hit me like a 2 x 4 on the head..
me too, I do think people should experience it alone with the eyes closed no other input as we have been lucky to experience originally
I was at Pink Floyd on my 20th birthday - Frankfurt 26.01.1977 !
Yep, just like the lyrics in "Time" from Dark Side of the Moon: "...shorter of breath, and one day closer to death."
It just hits you in the feels.
After having cancer and all the treatments and being drugged out of my mind, this song hits me differently at my age. I mean right in the soul.
how about " I was just a boy then , now I'm only a man " from The Final Cut
I'll be 64 in May, and my wife and I have been married for 42 years. We have seen Pink Floyd three times. We have seen EVERY major rock group, and NO ONE comes close to the pure, raw emotion that Pink Floyd does. And I must say, you have had the BEST reaction of any of the other reactors I have seen. Your emotions are pure, and that is refreshing in this day and age.
I first saw them in 1972. I hope you and your lady keep on rocking for many years to come.
Only one that comes close is Mark Knopfler....
@@JM_daDoc Knopfler is another prime example, yes. Very valid. Still...so very few. Sad in a way, but at least we have these few examples to point to. Would be far sadder had we none.
@@KozmikZootz Knopfler and Gilmour stand out for me also. Plus Ry Cooder. I know what I'd be taking to that desert island!
Gilmore understands the power of timing and allowing a note to decay, to fade, to be that perfect moment. He is not the fastest on the strings, he doesn't power cord. He is just brilliant and lets the guitar shine to be the mirror on his soul and inner being.
I’m in my sixties now and I still fight to hold back the tears every time I hear that final solo. A masterpiece that’ll never be bettered.
Agreed!!
Absolutely. It’s like listening to ‘Nessum Dorma’
This version, every day when I come home from work.
Loud and proud.
I'm 36 but I will keep it going until I am 156.
Often a live performance does not capture the studio perfection. This is a magical exception
Your reaction, your face, Your joy were as good as this epic performance..
been listening to Pink Floyd since 68 and it still bring tears to my eyes listening to them especially this song
Like I have said my entire lifecre PF they do not create a concert they ceeate an environment

Gilmor’s outro solo literally tells the story of the song. That minor drop is when the “numb” hits, concluding with the literal sirens wailing with the protagonist spiraling into that “numb” abyss.

I was so incredibly fortunate to have been able to attend this concert. It will live with me forever.
Wonderfully explained.
автор музыки и стихов Роджер Уотерс! Гилмор только соло на гитаре.
да великолепное соло.
НО! Почему ни слова о Роддере?
My absolute favorite Pink Floyd song. As someone with neuro-muscular chronic pain, the lyrics of Roger Waters and the guitar of David Gilmore is a form of pain relief all their own. I've always said you don't just listen to PF, but you experience it.
I was at this absolutely amazing concert.
I have no words to express how good they are live.
Yep.
That's why they're so good and timeless...
Now or 50 years later, people will still listen to this group and admire ❤
I hope!
Actually, The Wall was released 43 years ago
This is not music. It is the music, an absolute masterpiece.
I’m really glad you liked this so much as a young woman. I have seen the song performed many times live. (I’m now 63). But emotions always get the better of me whenever I hear or see it again. It’s not just nostalgia. I feel kind of sad that we will never hear such musicianship again.
Indeed,it is quite bittersweet listening to that masterpiece. Between SRV and David...weve listened and been blessed to bear witness.
Amazing amount of emotion in his solos. Not just “shredding”. The way he uses feedback near the end of his solo is astonishing.
I still get goose bumps. How David hits those glass breaking notes is legendary. Love you guys ❤
I've always told my ppl, when i leave this place, i wanna go out with his song!
I was privileged to see them perform four times between '87 and '94......epically flawless is about all I can say!

Did you see the Pompeji version? It hasn't got so much on the visual level but the older Gilmour feels even more epic to me.

What I love too is this solo is longer and 1000x better than the recorded track. The solo on the track is really good but I only listen to this live version because of this solo. It’s so much longer, more emotional, and the artistry is god tier. One of my favorite solos of all time.

The “classic” Leslie speaker design features two drivers-a treble driver with horns (only one works; the other simply acts as a counter-weight) and a bass driver. The horns of the treble driver and the sound baffle of the bass driver are physically rotated by electric motors.
