- This is the Bugatti Tourbillon, the 276mph successor to the Bugatti Chiron.
There will be just 250 of these, priced from £3.2m, making it the most expensive car in series production.
Its engine is a massive 8.3-litre V16, naturally aspirated, and producing 986bhp in its own right. You can hear it in this video.
Rather than turbochargers, it's supplemented by three electric motors, two on the front, one at the rear, supplying an additional 789bhp.
The performance figures are startling. The Bugatti Tourbillon will go from 0-62mph (0-100kph) in 2.0sec and 0-124mph (0-200kph) in sub 5.0sec.
The Tourbillon's top-speed is preliminarily reported as 276mph, although Bugatti's CEO Mate Rimac says "let's just say this isn't the maximum...".

The problem is that they had to put on the so many emission filters that the sound becomes all muffled. Even the CEO said it.

Dials now are like Jacob&Co Bugatti watch, pure luxury and timeless beauty whats it supposed to be for Bugatti owners.
What’s amazing is that it actually is going the current and opposite direction to most supercars, whilst it is using hybrid it also is taking naturally aspirated to the max, it’s a car that is both a through back to the 1930’s and also leading the way! I can’t rap my head around it.
Nothing, nothing will replace the sound of an ICE. This is not a car. This is art.

Yes this is a fact, Buggati was paid 800 mil by rich buyers of the world just by showing them demo car model and a presentation on their concept design. And after that the production was started!
So anyone of you thinking, "Ahh i would have bought it if i knew about it", No you couldn't have even if you had known about it, these cars were purchased before even being created!!

My comment had 2 meanings,
One was purchasing product before production, and second was earning you almost a billion dollar before even spending money on production!
It's true that there are other companies and products which sell out before even hitting the market. But they are no where near what a automobile industries earns!
Also one more major difference between other products and limited production cars is that, the other products despite getting large amount of pre order they have to make it available in market as well, this is not the case of these cars, they have to literally limit the production because market is already crazy for these cars! So it is never ever available in market once sold out!

There are much more interesting cases, try to buy a Hermés bag, this is worth three times as much as soon as you buy it, due to the infinite queue to be able to do so, and it is a bag that is sold by its brand, it does not require astronomical investment figures or technology like a car that is difficult to pay off.

We might lost the quad turbo w16 to electric motors because of yet again some regulations.
But holy hell, they made sure this exchange is not a loss for ICE enthusiast.
So they made the V16 *Naturally Aspirated* with a boost from the electric motors.
I’d say it’s generally the fairest trade ever made during car company’s transitioning from ICE to electrification.

Mr. Rimac was the correct choice. This is the first modern, non-track, Bugatti that I've actually liked. What a masterpiece!

The gauge cluster is the all-time pinnacle of functional beauty...
The nose is awkward, but the rest is incredible. The engine and interior are genius. The dance the four needles do is at first confusing then excellent.

The new owner of Bugatti is indeed a man of wisdom. I complained that the marvelous Bugatti Atlantic concept was being wasted by not being put into production. But now the design principles of the Atlantic lives on in the new Tourbillon. This new car cleverly & wonderfully integrates 3 Bugatti models; the Chiron, the La Voiture Noire, and the Atlantic concept car. The taillight is from the La Voiture Noire, while the face & Butterfly doors are from the Atlantic concept. This is absolutely fantastic.
Would it be a stretch to say that Jacob & Co has had a serious impact on Bugatti and they really respect that relationship?

For me as a lifetime Ferrari fan, this is just mind blowing. A glorious NA V16 engine revving up to 9.000 rpm. This might be even better than the compressor blown BRM V16 from the 1950s in terms of acoustics. Well maybe not as loud. But brutal and yet smooth.
Best looking Bugatti by far and all the better for its traditional dashboard. As ever, running costs will be stratospheric

Nah. Superb i can not believe my eyes. I was thinking Bugatti was kind of dull looking but this is... Just feels perfect that interior just blow my mind.
Those downshifts make my no-no place tingle.
Crazy part is that electric engines have alone over 1200hp but the batteries with 25kw just can’t handle that amount of power so it produced around 830 hp.
So does that mean the combine output is 2200hp? if it were to have a higher displacement battery pack than 25 kw

How much does the engine with the one metre long crankshaft weigh compared to the actual car?
I like the front, I like the interior. I don't like the fact the rear is a copy of a McLaren with an angular diffuser bolted on that makes it look like a 4x4.
I'm sure I'll get used to the sound but so far it's a bit like a wood saw.

This is the Prototype, there's a chance that at the release in 2026 the final name could be different, as happened with the Mission E/Taycan.

Also, I noticed that the rear IS NOT a copy of the McLaren P1 BUT a reinterpretation of the Chiron La Voiture Noire: similar oversized frontal horse shoe, similar lateral intakes and compressed "C" shape, similar rear tailights. The difufusser looks like a even more extreme Mission X.

I’m surprised that it really doesn’t sound very good. It’s kind of flat and kind of shrill. I’d much rather to listen to an older Audi or Lamborghini V10.
4 headers setup, with 2 headers it could sound like F1

So let me get this straight, it's OK to have a Bugatti, Lamborghini, Ferrari & even a Corvette to have a hybrid setup. Even though the Acura NSX started the new trend & was treated like crap while all others mentioned above has a very similar if not exact same setup. Not hating but give the respect it deserves.

probably the quickest, Bugatti has ever sold out a car. It's a shame that I can't get one now. I'm just going to have to settle on a BYD Seal.
