Everyone's complaining about the lack of Daisy, and while I agree that that is disheartening, I'm more sad about the Kremlings being fired as goalies. They put in some good work dang it
I'm more upset that they replaced the minion team for an all captain team. Definitely devalues the term 'Captain'. Every match is gonna look the same now

We can all agree that this opening is still thrilling but it doesn't has the same level of adrenaline as in Mario Strikers Charge

Yeah, something about the movement just lacks the intensity and rush you feel while playing. There was a twitter thread showcasing the victory animatjons for this game and they really just lack the same energy as Charged despite the new graphics

Ok so I have to assume this will be like Mario golf and they’ll randomly just start adding characters after launch, but I really wouldn’t have expected a lack of Daisy.
It’s not just that she was the most popular character of the old games, but the fact that she has been included in every sports game since the first Mario tennis by default. She’s not a throw away character, the sport games are kind of her games, they’re what made her character grow. Having her not there feels just wrong.

Daisy fans are usually just this extremely vocal minority. Often because they're upset she's never been more than spinoff filler
@@Robbie_Haruna oh I meant to say one of the most popular, not the most, but even so. I never played strikers but everything I saw from it tended to always show off how they scripted Daisy, even if it was wasn’t the main focus, so I don’t think it was a loud minority really.
Also, even if she is just spin off filler, this is a spin off, so it only proves my point. Almost like Waluigi, if you look at her history, she really only really got involved when Mario tennis was released, acting as a partner to Peach. She’s been in every single one since so regardless of what anyone says, this is weird.

@@xeno4693 Yeah, that's their business model. Selling unfinished games and adding the rest with later updates. And once people have the "full" game, they forget all about it and move on. It's really hard for me to get excited about Nintendo games anymore. Mario golf was the last straw for me.

@@Nathan-Explosion It depends on how you look at it. This new one has more captains having 10 instead of 8 but it also doesn't have minions like the old one did. So they're really both about the same in terms of character selection but at least in this one you can choose multiple captains rather than being stuck with only one of the major mario characters.
The opening movie isn't as epic as strikers charged but the music is amazing!
Charged opening piece rocked more hard than this. Still good, tho, but Charged opening movie was better in all its aspects.

Hmm it's fine I guess, doesn't go hard enough, the last one had a lot more energy, it had amazing transitions, it had the initial shot of the public rushing to the court getting shocked on periferical net, which is something classic in football, the hoolingans hanging from that net and trying to get in! It had also the classic mud court! It just had a lot more heart in general
Yeah, everything is animated so smoothly, but it's just way too sluggish and heavy. Not the hyper, edgy soccer game I used to love. 😅
agreed. as for this opening, the 2D art stylization is really cool but the CGi itself is kind of lacking tbh. everything looks...stiff...and when a character steals the ball from another in this cutscene...it just looks weird, stiff, and lazy. idk. an animator could probably do a better job critiquing this than I but thats the best way I can describe it. I thought this same thing since they first showed part of the opening cutscene when they announced the game.

One thing is right. I will never buy this game until Daisy and Diddy Kong are confirmed to be playable characters in this new Mario Strickers, at least.

I'm not a Strikers fan or a Daisy fan, but I can at least acknowledge that not having Daisy in a Strikers game is as dumb as Nintendo continuing to not include Waluigi in Wario games. However, since I kinda enjoyed the tutorials in the first strike demo for this game but still can't decide if I want this game, I'll let Daisy's inclusion be my coin flip for buying this game. I know other characters are missing too, but something like the Kremlings are probably out of question at this point if we're being realistic.

Rather than specifically talking about the violence, a better argument might be a criticism of the lack of energy in the opening as compared to the other titles. Art and tone direction are certainly worth paying attention to.

Only Nintendo games can always make people smile and excited, regardless of their age. They definitely know how to make fun games (which are absent from many games today). I cannot wait to play this game with my friends and cousins. Sooo excited ❤

Daisy gave the original game so much heart, it’s sad they didn’t add her to the opening.

@@mariosandoval5582 which is dumb. she's the tomboy/athlete of all the Mario princesses and she's the one that very specifically gets excluded from the base game. That's like making bowser a DLC boss in a mainline Mario game.

I miss the violence and chaos from Strikers Charged, but the overall gameplay is much more balanced than the previous ones. Miss the overpowered sidekicks and some other characters, that I hope they'll add in the future.

Daisy is such a better fit than Rosalina. Nintendo just needs a reminder how Important Daisy is to the fans. Hopefully for future games they won’t make the same mistake again.

Mario Golf Super Rush's opening was more intense than this..... This feels slower than the previous Mario Strikers openings.

Let's be honest here, nothing would've topped Charged's opening
The first game was excellence, then the Charged announcement gave us that opening movie, and we were like, "It's WAR now!" Modern Nintendo has zero ability to top that.
