The way they showed off Waluigi pinball for so long and kept playing the music even when going to other courses really shows how they knew what everybody wanted.
It's interesting to see how Waluigi pinball, a course that only previously existed in portable Mario Kart games, still managed to become as iconic or even more so than many of the console courses. It's honestly amazing they had not included sooner

Waluigi pinball is literally one of the best Mario kart tracks of all time. I would have been satisfied with just that, but almost all of these courses are bangers. Great selection
Imo, I’m only really excited for sky-high sundae. Mushroom physics in 8 suck, waluigi pinball is a meh-good track to me, and everything else is just “good.” Don’t get me wrong, all these tracks are great but not godlike. The first wave was almost godlike but sky garden ruined it

I think I noticed a pattern: Cup 1: - a tour city track (Paris and New York) - a standard track that exists (Toad circuit and Mario circuit 3) - an old school classic (Choco mountain and Kalimari Desert) - a mega fan favourite (Coconut mall and waluigi pinball) Cup 2: - a tour city track (Tokyo and Sydney) - an unexpected, forgotten track (Shroom Ridge and snow land) - a track with bouncy platforms (Sky garden and mushroom gorge) - a tour track probably originally made for mk8 or vice versa (Ninja hideaway and sky high sundae)
I knew that already thanks to the datamining, but there are some exceptions: Moon Cup • New course as the third race • 3DS course as the fourth race Acorn Cup • New course as the third race • New course as the fourth race Spiny Cup • Wii course as the fourth race I don't think the forgotten/classic/bouncy platforms part is correct, because the third course of the Moon Cup will probably be Merry Mountain, and many more don't line up.
Except ninja hideaway is a tour track that isn’t listed as one for some reason, besides that I agree with you it’s a nice pattern. For someone who has only played a little of tour, it’s tracks are basically new ones already
Sky High Sundae actually looks incredible. It also features Anti-Gravity, which all of the other remastered courses don’t. This is definitely one I’m excited to play.
Fun fact, Tour only just started mentioning anti-gravity in its coding since the update came out according to datamines. So yeah, this track is coming to Tour. That would also mean that Mario Kart 8 courses are going to be in Tour soon.
Sky high sundae is not a “new course” in the fine print on the bottom right corner it says “will be added to Mariokart tour at a later date” ie. It was planned and developed for Mariokart tour but shoved onto 8dlc to make it seem “new”. I mean just look at it. It looks like garbage.

The fact they added Mushroom Gorge, New York Minute, Kalamari Desert, and freaking Waluigi Pinball all in one wave makes the expansion pack an absolute perfect dlc.
Absolutely love Kalimari desert! As a kid I loved chasing the train through the tunnel and having everyone wait for it to pass!! Great addition to this game.

i love kaiimari desert and i'm glad it's back, but I'm preparing myself to be disappointed with the tunnel, I feel like they're not gonna let us go into it, similarly to how they don't let us go to peach's castle in royal raceway. but hey I'm hoping I'm wrong lol
1:17 in 2018, we're upset for Waluigi didn't appear as a playable Fighter in Smash Ultimate (cause he's an assist trophy), and now in 2022, his course is part of the Booster Course Pass
Hope they incorporate the alt version of this stage from tour where you race on the train tracks. Maybe make it a lap 3 thing. There were item boxes on there so maybe.
I honestly didn't think we would get Waluigi Pinball this early, and on top of a fully brand new map makes this a very good selection of tracks overall.
2:16 They actually animated the flags. That look so much better! And they added anti-gravity! They did waaaaaaay better job with the tracks. They look like proper remakes and the graphics don't look half bad. Great job Nintendo, the wait was worth it!
Nice catch of detail! The first wave felt to rushed which seems to be a problem with a lot of gaming things and also other stuff in this generation sadly. Also very good courses. I also liked the first wave, but some small things were not so great like the mall feels like great and wasted potential at the same time
Gee, looking back a year later and seeing all the comments is so heartwarming, everyone hyping up about the graphics, Waluigi Pinball and Sky-High makes me feel like I’m travelling back in time.
In a lot of ways the last wave felt rushed, and a lot of it seemed direct from Tour. This wave feels a lot more like the rest of the game. I kinda hope they do an art pass on the first wave to get it into the 8 art style, but its not a big issue if it doesn't happen imo
A brand new course is the most exciting thing to me here, even though I'm not usually crazy about the candy themed courses, and even counting Waluigi Pinball and Mushroom Gorge. So exciting to play these!!

Same here. Sweet sweet canyon is one of my least favourite tracks but this one looks a bit less mediocre as I spotted one bit where you drive into a refrigerator
This looks even better than the previous pack. One of the courses even has anti-gravity on it. I think my favorite tracks are Sky High Sunday, Mushroom Gorge, New York Minute and Waluigi Pinball. Would still like to see new characters get added.

Looks like they were really listening to fan feedback from the first wave. These courses look visually better, feature fan favorites, and also use auto gravity it looks like!
I think all of these were planned, at least for New York Minute. If you look at the leaked banner, you can see New York Minute noticeably identical to its appearance in Mario Kart 8, including the new road and red arrows.
0:45 There are item boxes next to the train! This means we get to race on the traintracks similar to Kalamari Desert 2 in Mario Kart Tour, possibly on the 3rd lap just like on how they handled Tour Paris Promenade. Edit: I also noticed that the traintrack doesn't have any railing on the inside (the space between the tracks and the offroad where you use a Mushroom to use the glide ramp). I checked the N64, 3DS and Tour variants of this track, and they all have guard rails on the inside, with this version being the only one without. This means it could also be considered an alternate path if they didn't impliment the lap 3 change and just went with the standard 3 laps. Time should tell on what we can do.
I’m literally hyped for this wave, they have Waluigi’s Pinball! I do find it interesting that they are also creating completely new tracks as well ( like the sundae one), as most people suspected complete remakes of the originals. All in all, I’m excited
The next wave looks GREAT! I really hope Airship Fortress is a part of one of the next waves cause it’s my favorite track of all time. Can’t wait to play these tracks!
I like how they added Snow Land, a pretty much forgotten course in my opinion. Plus, the graphics are better than before. Not only that but one of my favourite courses, Mushroom Gorge is here!
I'm also really excited for Snow Land, I can already tell I'm going to like it more than the GBA Sky Garden remake, lets just hope the screen doesn't shake!
This has 2 extremely good tracks, Mushroom Gorge and Waluigi Pinball, and I was not expecting the brand new icecream track, I’m looking forward to listening to all of the music in these tracks when they get released!
The Wario and Waluigi stages are definitely my favorites. It feels like they were created with 'as much as fun as possible'. So I hope the others come as well! And some of the DK stages are like that also, like DK Mountain (GameCube), which I would love to see too!

I'm just surprised that through all of the tracks they made in Tour, they still couldn't make a city course feel half as alive as a DS track. The DS. Think about that.

These actually look pretty fun! Most are quite a step up in terms of both visual polish and stage dynamics compared to wave 1. Both cities have some pretty unpleasant, flat colours, but most of the courses look at least alright. The MK Tour grass still looks pretty jarring and it's obviously not quite on the level of the original courses, but these are markedly more appealing nonetheless. It's good to see some exciting fan-favourites on the showcase that actually make use of the anti gravity in the designs. Don't know what they were thinking with that largely uninteresting wave 1 selection. edit: Only one of the stages seems to use anti-grav, which is unfortunate. And to be clear, it's still quite disappointing that this is the level of quality for the DLC stages.
I agree with you on the grass textures, they're still not perfect which is a shame however they blend in much nicer than Toad Circuit and Shroom Ridge. It wasn't really noticeable at first glance until I had a closer look.
And keep in mind that the Wave 1 trailer didn’t quite show the tracks in their final form (Coconut Mall was given brighter lighting and more reflective windows, and the sand in Toad Circuit was made a lighter shade of yellow, among other things), so they’ll probably polish the visuals up a bit more before release.

i think the snes and gba courses could do with an overhaul that removes the rainbow blocks around the course because it really breaks the immersion. I really couldn't tell the difference between snes circuit 3 and the other one on the switch. Also the way the blocks were placed on the mountain one was a bit unnatural.

Woah I didn't expect they would make a WHOLE BRAND NEW TRACK in the second wave! I love how they added Kalamari desert, Mushroom gorge, New York minute, and the fan favorite waluigi's pinball.
It's a mobile track. Shilling like crazy. There's only one anti-gravity course and it's obviously just anti-gravity for the whole thing. Nintendo isn't taking any criticism whatsoever. How does it take them 4 months to directly port tracks from a mobile game, put some shaders on them, and then call it a day. Seriously, don't people realise how lazy this is?!
This wave looks amazing, Im amped to play these and relive the past once again! I hope they bring Koopa Cape and Peach Gardens along the future waves. Those 2 tracks especially are my favorite tracks to run!~
This looks fantastic! And they even made a brand new track which is really cool to see. I do wish we would get some new characters with these tracks but still this looks great. It looks better than the first wave.

I called it people said that Blur looked like Vanilla Lake on that other render of the art but I noticed the track looked darker than vanilla lake’s so I thought it was Snow Land turns out I was correct
I can see the improvement. It is a lot better than the first pass. Though, it still has its MKT saturation and the weird single-color off-road problem. But so, I still think it is pretty good and I am looking forward to this.
Yeah the inconsistent art style is a bit off-putting, but not enough to outweigh the sheer amount of tracks we're getting when this is all said and done.
That's probably because all of these tracks are either ported from Tour or they were originally intended to be part of it. Still, I personally really enjoy tracks based on real life cities. I hope they'll add all of the cities featured in Tour.

There is not a single course I'd go "meh it's okay" I love them all and the graphics(compared to the last wave) is MUCH better now. 1 thing I like to point out is that sky high sunday actually has the anti-gravity mechanic in the course. Well done Nintendo, you blew this one out of the park and you actually listened to the criticism, props to you!

This looks great. The last wave did the tour city tracks very well in my opinion, so those should be cool. Mushroom gorge and Waluigi pinball are among the best courses. Snowland looks like it will be modified a little and be solid. Sky high sundae is new and looks great. Kalamari Desert seems to include the tour route on the tracks. Almost every course here is solid
Kalimari Desert has always been one of the most underrated tracks in the game imo. I actually even liked it more than fan favorites like Coconut Mall. I loved a course where it feels so open, and who doesn't love the train, of course
@@mguymario Actually, an image of Kalimari Desert can be found on the Mario Kart website… with a “Mario Kart” flag/checkpoint right in front of the train tunnel! It seems like they’re combining both tracks into one… just like they did for Paris Promenade and Tokyo Blur!

Nah man. They’re literally ripped out of Mario kart tour. All of these courses are done already I’d imagine. They look weird all characters are tiny compared to tracks. They should have made the tracks slightly smaller
not only do these courses look better than wave one but i cant belive we got mushroom gorge waluigie pinball and kalimari desert like that right off the bat. it feels like we have been waiting for wave 2 for forever . i played the heck out of the new courses and already play 8delux a ton so iv been taking a break to avoid burnout this is awesome!
Mario Circuit 3 looks weird compared to donut plains in the original MK8. But still, definitely an improvement from last time, so this is promising. I still wish they would get rid of the flat neon green grass in these maps.
While I am incredibly excited for all of them, sky high sundae has got me really curious and excited because it’s a completely new track and looks like something straight out of the arcade games
Same here I’m totally excited for this Wave 2 for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC: Booster Course Pass Is likely that I was totally correct about PushDustin’s Tweet about that MK8D DLC: Booster Course Pass 7-Eleven Advertisement because they’re definitely going to the exact same thing with Smash DLC Fighters when they’ll get a Early Release date time but I’m pretty sure this is confirmation means we will get Wave 3 somewhere most likely will to be revealed In Mid-September and Early October between those two months it could be a New Nintendo Direct very soonish I’m not so sure how the full year will end for this 2022 but what do you think?

@Pending title considering how many tracks you get, you're almost getting an entire new game anyway. Plus if you have the expansion pack, you don't have to pay for it. Also, there's always the option of not paying for it and just not getting to experience it. If you don't think they're worth it, don't buy it. Others think they're worth it.

I've worked out how they do the booster courses now, have 2 Tour city tracks at the start of a Cup, have 1-3 popular tracks they hype up, a underrated retro course and a kind of new course.

Wii rainbow road? That was just okay. What we REALLY want is the rainbow road from 7, that was probably the best rendition of the track that's ever been made

The track abbreviations already have so many “RR” tracks lol. We have RR, rRRy, rRRd, dRR, dRiR (8 Rainbow Road, 64 Royal Raceway, 64 Rainbow Road, SNES Rainbow Road, GBA Ribbon Road) any more than that and my brain will explode.
I think having a cup with just rainbow Roads would be cool specifically DS, Wii, Double Dash and 7’s Rainbow Road not much of a fan of GBA Rainbow Road

I wasn't expecting New York Minute, considering how fitting it would've been for the Moon Cup in wave 3, but I'm glad it's in wave 2. I'll finally be able to play this great course again, with cars from the T variant added in.
Gotta say, I definitely was NOT expecting a new, never-before-seen track in the DLC. I remember vividly how my teeth hurt from sugar cravings the first time I raced on Sweet Sweet Canyon. I bet Sky-High Sundae will do the same... and by golly, I'm hyped for it!

Agreed, they definitely cleaned up their act. I'm thinking they decided to stick to Tour's "artstyle" for the courses from that game, which is a strange choice IMO. I'm fine with it though since the courses that were built for the DLC itself and not Tour look great.
As someone who plays tour routinely, the tour tracks look substantially better. New York Minute has wet texturing on the road, which wasn't a thing in the original. Plus every track shown other than Snow Land and Shroom Ridge has appeared in Your, not to mention most redesigns and new looks like the exterior to Coconut Mall and the entire look of Waluigi Pinball is BECAUSE they redesigned them when putting it into Tour.
did they fix the courses though ? i mean there are courses in the first wave where you hit your head at a jump for example and go slower no matter what you do doesnt matter what you do you will just bump into things at certain places because the courses are just taken fom the mobile game with no adjustments for mk8 physics
For those not getting the update. Press + (options) from the Switch main menu for Mario Kart 8. Select Software Update and check for an update. It should then start downloading.
Sky-High Sundae looks like an amazing course! I can’t wait to play it! Oh and Kalimari Desert is back! That track was so fun back in Mario Kart 64 with all of the trains and stuff!
As a sydney sider i would like to say the amount of detail into our new map is incredible. From the fence around sydney harbour the Tanraga trains. It is truly a master peice.

All of these courses look so good. I’m especially hyped for Sky high sundae, Waluigi pinball, and the two tour tracks. All I can ask for is a character pack and some new vehicle parts, or maybe a rework for the ones we have already.

I REALLY hope we get Toad Factory, playing that track on the Wii was so amazing its such a fun course, some other Wii maps they could add could be ones like DK Mountain which wasn't as popular but its still a blast to play! (Literally a blast, a few seconds in you get launched in a cannon!)

I think I noticed a pattern:
Cup 1:
- a tour city track
(Paris and New York)
- a standard track that exists
(Toad circuit and Mario circuit 3)
- an old school classic
(Choco mountain and Kalimari Desert)
- a mega fan favourite
(Coconut mall and waluigi pinball)
Cup 2:
- a tour city track
(Tokyo and Sydney)
- an unexpected, forgotten track
(Shroom Ridge and snow land)
- a track with bouncy platforms
(Sky garden and mushroom gorge)
- a tour track probably originally made for mk8 or vice versa
(Ninja hideaway and sky high sundae)
I knew that already thanks to the datamining, but there are some exceptions:

I don't think the forgotten/classic/bouncy platforms part is correct, because the third course of the Moon Cup will probably be Merry Mountain, and many more don't line up.

Sky High Sundae actually looks incredible. It also features Anti-Gravity, which all of the other remastered courses don’t. This is definitely one I’m excited to play.

Fun fact, Tour only just started mentioning anti-gravity in its coding since the update came out according to datamines. So yeah, this track is coming to Tour. That would also mean that Mario Kart 8 courses are going to be in Tour soon.

Sky high sundae is not a “new course” in the fine print on the bottom right corner it says “will be added to Mariokart tour at a later date” ie. It was planned and developed for Mariokart tour but shoved onto 8dlc to make it seem “new”. I mean just look at it. It looks like garbage.

Absolutely love Kalimari desert! As a kid I loved chasing the train through the tunnel and having everyone wait for it to pass!! Great addition to this game.

i love kaiimari desert and i'm glad it's back, but I'm preparing myself to be disappointed with the tunnel, I feel like they're not gonna let us go into it, similarly to how they don't let us go to peach's castle in royal raceway. but hey I'm hoping I'm wrong lol

Excellent selections overall. The train and tracks in Kalimari Desert were a lot of fun on N64.
Hope they incorporate the alt version of this stage from tour where you race on the train tracks. Maybe make it a lap 3 thing. There were item boxes on there so maybe.

I honestly didn't think we would get Waluigi Pinball this early, and on top of a fully brand new map makes this a very good selection of tracks overall.

Nice catch of detail! The first wave felt to rushed which seems to be a problem with a lot of gaming things and also other stuff in this generation sadly. Also very good courses. I also liked the first wave, but some small things were not so great like the mall feels like great and wasted potential at the same time
Gee, looking back a year later and seeing all the comments is so heartwarming, everyone hyping up about the graphics, Waluigi Pinball and Sky-High makes me feel like I’m travelling back in time.

In a lot of ways the last wave felt rushed, and a lot of it seemed direct from Tour. This wave feels a lot more like the rest of the game. I kinda hope they do an art pass on the first wave to get it into the 8 art style, but its not a big issue if it doesn't happen imo

Same here. Sweet sweet canyon is one of my least favourite tracks but this one looks a bit less mediocre as I spotted one bit where you drive into a refrigerator

This looks even better than the previous pack. One of the courses even has anti-gravity on it. I think my favorite tracks are Sky High Sunday, Mushroom Gorge, New York Minute and Waluigi Pinball. Would still like to see new characters get added.

Looks like they were really listening to fan feedback from the first wave. These courses look visually better, feature fan favorites, and also use auto gravity it looks like!
I think all of these were planned, at least for New York Minute. If you look at the leaked banner, you can see New York Minute noticeably identical to its appearance in Mario Kart 8, including the new road and red arrows.

0:45 There are item boxes next to the train! This means we get to race on the traintracks similar to Kalamari Desert 2 in Mario Kart Tour, possibly on the 3rd lap just like on how they handled Tour Paris Promenade.
Edit: I also noticed that the traintrack doesn't have any railing on the inside (the space between the tracks and the offroad where you use a Mushroom to use the glide ramp). I checked the N64, 3DS and Tour variants of this track, and they all have guard rails on the inside, with this version being the only one without.
This means it could also be considered an alternate path if they didn't impliment the lap 3 change and just went with the standard 3 laps. Time should tell on what we can do.

I’m literally hyped for this wave, they have Waluigi’s Pinball! I do find it interesting that they are also creating completely new tracks as well ( like the sundae one), as most people suspected complete remakes of the originals. All in all, I’m excited

The Wario and Waluigi stages are definitely my favorites. It feels like they were created with 'as much as fun as possible'. So I hope the others come as well! And some of the DK stages are like that also, like DK Mountain (GameCube), which I would love to see too!

@@tiffoneyleach6975 I've been thinking about that too, but it's just the levels I like the most. And also, beside the castle from N64, the other castles have never showed up in other games as remakes. As far as I know.
These actually look pretty fun! Most are quite a step up in terms of both visual polish and stage dynamics compared to wave 1. Both cities have some pretty unpleasant, flat colours, but most of the courses look at least alright.
The MK Tour grass still looks pretty jarring and it's obviously not quite on the level of the original courses, but these are markedly more appealing nonetheless. It's good to see some exciting fan-favourites on the showcase that actually make use of the anti gravity in the designs. Don't know what they were thinking with that largely uninteresting wave 1 selection.

Only one of the stages seems to use anti-grav, which is unfortunate. And to be clear, it's still quite disappointing that this is the level of quality for the DLC stages.
I agree with you on the grass textures, they're still not perfect which is a shame however they blend in much nicer than Toad Circuit and Shroom Ridge. It wasn't really noticeable at first glance until I had a closer look.
Ninja hideaway is the best track from the previous wave and it was a MKTour track so it doesn’t matter how it looks!
They look just as undetailed and ugly as the first dlc pack stop kidding yourself.
And keep in mind that the Wave 1 trailer didn’t quite show the tracks in their final form (Coconut Mall was given brighter lighting and more reflective windows, and the sand in Toad Circuit was made a lighter shade of yellow, among other things), so they’ll probably polish the visuals up a bit more before release.

i think the snes and gba courses could do with an overhaul that removes the rainbow blocks around the course because it really breaks the immersion. I really couldn't tell the difference between snes circuit 3 and the other one on the switch. Also the way the blocks were placed on the mountain one was a bit unnatural.
With the leak, I expected SNES Vanilla Lake.
But GBA Snow Land is a huge surprise! And I love it

It's a mobile track. Shilling like crazy. There's only one anti-gravity course and it's obviously just anti-gravity for the whole thing. Nintendo isn't taking any criticism whatsoever. How does it take them 4 months to directly port tracks from a mobile game, put some shaders on them, and then call it a day. Seriously, don't people realise how lazy this is?!

Snow land looks like a completely new track and I love it.
That’s because it got revamped in a 3D appearance. The GBA version was entirely 2D.

I can see the improvement. It is a lot better than the first pass. Though, it still has its MKT saturation and the weird single-color off-road problem. But so, I still think it is pretty good and I am looking forward to this.
The off road grass has texture if you get really close to it. It just looks flat from a distance.

Yeah the inconsistent art style is a bit off-putting, but not enough to outweigh the sheer amount of tracks we're getting when this is all said and done.
I actually like the saturation of MKT. Too many pieces of media today are so flat and dull-looking, it’s nice to have some color pop now.
That's probably because all of these tracks are either ported from Tour or they were originally intended to be part of it. Still, I personally really enjoy tracks based on real life cities. I hope they'll add all of the cities featured in Tour.

There is not a single course I'd go "meh it's okay" I love them all and the graphics(compared to the last wave) is MUCH better now.
1 thing I like to point out is that sky high sunday actually has the anti-gravity mechanic in the course.

This looks great. The last wave did the tour city tracks very well in my opinion, so those should be cool. Mushroom gorge and Waluigi pinball are among the best courses. Snowland looks like it will be modified a little and be solid. Sky high sundae is new and looks great. Kalamari Desert seems to include the tour route on the tracks. Almost every course here is solid
Kalimari Desert has always been one of the most underrated tracks in the game imo. I actually even liked it more than fan favorites like Coconut Mall. I loved a course where it feels so open, and who doesn't love the train, of course
They should of added Kalimari Desert 2 instead since it is basically a new track reusing Kalimari Desert's accets were you race on the train tracks
@@mguymario Actually, an image of Kalimari Desert can be found on the Mario Kart website… with a “Mario Kart” flag/checkpoint right in front of the train tunnel! It seems like they’re combining both tracks into one… just like they did for Paris Promenade and Tokyo Blur!

FINALLY! Been patiently waiting for the second wave and these courses are overall better than the first one. I'm especially excited for Waluigi Pinball - one of the best courses in Mario Kart history and I'm glad it's coming back!

Nah man. They’re literally ripped out of Mario kart tour. All of these courses are done already I’d imagine. They look weird all characters are tiny compared to tracks. They should have made the tracks slightly smaller

not only do these courses look better than wave one but i cant belive we got mushroom gorge waluigie pinball and kalimari desert like that right off the bat. it feels like we have been waiting for wave 2 for forever . i played the heck out of the new courses and already play 8delux a ton so iv been taking a break to avoid burnout this is awesome!

Mario Circuit 3 looks weird compared to donut plains in the original MK8. But still, definitely an improvement from last time, so this is promising.

Same here I’m totally excited for this Wave 2 for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC: Booster Course Pass Is likely that I was totally correct about PushDustin’s Tweet about that MK8D DLC: Booster Course Pass 7-Eleven Advertisement because they’re definitely going to the exact same thing with Smash DLC Fighters when they’ll get a Early Release date time but I’m pretty sure this is confirmation means we will get Wave 3 somewhere most likely will to be revealed In Mid-September and Early October between those two months it could be a New Nintendo Direct very soonish I’m not so sure how the full year will end for this 2022 but what do you think?
Definitely like this wave what I’m hoping for hopefully by wave 4 at least would be delifino square, koopa troopa beach, Wario Stadium and maple treeway moon view highway may be a cool one too

This pack looks way better than the first wave! Even though I Love Coconut Mall, this one has 8 amazing, nostalgic courses especially with Mushroom Gourge, Waluigi Pinball, and Kalimari desert. So excited to play the new courses!!

@Pending title considering how many tracks you get, you're almost getting an entire new game anyway. Plus if you have the expansion pack, you don't have to pay for it. Also, there's always the option of not paying for it and just not getting to experience it. If you don't think they're worth it, don't buy it. Others think they're worth it.

I've worked out how they do the booster courses now, have 2 Tour city tracks at the start of a Cup, have 1-3 popular tracks they hype up, a underrated retro course and a kind of new course.

We have RR, rRRy, rRRd, dRR, dRiR (8 Rainbow Road, 64 Royal Raceway, 64 Rainbow Road, SNES Rainbow Road, GBA Ribbon Road) any more than that and my brain will explode.
I think having a cup with just rainbow Roads would be cool specifically DS, Wii, Double Dash and 7’s Rainbow Road not much of a fan of GBA Rainbow Road

Sky high sundae is not a “new course” in the fine print on the bottom right corner it says “will be added to Mariokart tour at a later date” ie. It was planned and developed for Mariokart tour but shoved onto 8dlc to make it seem “new”. I mean just look at it. It looks like garbage.

I wasn't expecting New York Minute, considering how fitting it would've been for the Moon Cup in wave 3, but I'm glad it's in wave 2. I'll finally be able to play this great course again, with cars from the T variant added in.

Gotta say, I definitely was NOT expecting a new, never-before-seen track in the DLC. I remember vividly how my teeth hurt from sugar cravings the first time I raced on Sweet Sweet Canyon. I bet Sky-High Sundae will do the same... and by golly, I'm hyped for it!

The tracks look easy and beautiful at first glance and in the 200cc they are mind-blowingly exhilarating.
When you play on Waluigi Pinball, THAT’S the perfect time to go cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs.
The tracks from Tour still look pretty rough, but overall the quality of the visuals here has vastly improved. Looking forward to waves 3-6.
Agreed, they definitely cleaned up their act. I'm thinking they decided to stick to Tour's "artstyle" for the courses from that game, which is a strange choice IMO. I'm fine with it though since the courses that were built for the DLC itself and not Tour look great.

As someone who plays tour routinely, the tour tracks look substantially better. New York Minute has wet texturing on the road, which wasn't a thing in the original. Plus every track shown other than Snow Land and Shroom Ridge has appeared in Your, not to mention most redesigns and new looks like the exterior to Coconut Mall and the entire look of Waluigi Pinball is BECAUSE they redesigned them when putting it into Tour.

i mean there are courses in the first wave where you hit your head at a jump for example and go slower no matter what you do
doesnt matter what you do you will just bump into things at certain places because the courses are just taken fom the mobile game with no adjustments for mk8 physics

For those not getting the update. Press + (options) from the Switch main menu for Mario Kart 8. Select Software Update and check for an update. It should then start downloading.

I REALLY hope we get Toad Factory, playing that track on the Wii was so amazing its such a fun course, some other Wii maps they could add could be ones like DK Mountain which wasn't as popular but its still a blast to play! (Literally a blast, a few seconds in you get launched in a cannon!)
