I can't believe Nintendo actually revived Strikers. And it looks faithful to the prequels, I was afraid they would remove the "violence" of the game.

You can tell its not gonna be as violent as Charged. They are all wearing protective gear, and their artstyle is more sanitized. Its more violent than the first one at least.

I really hope they still have their edgy and aggressive personas, that’s what made the first two striker games perfect, I’m really hoping they still have it because they went above and beyond with the creativity based on this trailer

It’s not from Next Level Games. It’s made by Nintendo……who has been having a bad track record for Mario spin-off titles recently.
@@crashban4t.f.s.b783 The only real thing to change we see is that there are no Kritters as goalies, but that's just Nintendo letting go of using Donkey Kong characters. The gameplay looks very much like the other Strikers games and by the animation alone, I'm pretty sure it's Next Level Games developing it. The animation looks about the same as Luigi's Mansion 3 which NLG also developed. Though Nintendo did buy them to keep them at hand for their games.

well there were 3 things i was happy to see. Cuphead DLC, Mario Kart 8 DLC and Strikers.
it's a shame to see this game die even though it had so much potential
All they needed was one extra year of development. This game should have came out june 2023 not june 2022. That extra year would allow for a lot more content and polish. + the fact that the game would release shortly after mario movie hype would help its sells and longevity even more. Literally everyone would benefit from it. Both nintendo and consumers. I dont know why they had to rush it like that for no reason.
Man, I remember that ultimate hype when this announcement dropped and how underwhelming the final product was. Still can't believe how they messed up that bad after waiting 15 years for this sequel.
You have no idea how heart broken Im about this game even year after release. Its like a breakup that you cant get over with. This game needed at least one more year of development. And it would sell even better if it was released a year later because it would be shortly after mario movie hype which boosted sales of mario games and we got a lot of mario games this year anyway.

You say that on the game that is the most clinical/marketable in the series lol. Im hype for this game but this feels like the most "safe" entry in the series. They replaced the kremlings with softer rounder boom booms and none of the previous characterization seems to be here. I dont think we're gonna have peach being a bratty diva here or waluigi telling everyone to suck it. Also L content creator
I was unsure if this was actually Strikers for the first few seconds, but when I saw the electric fence getting activated I lost my mind. Charged was one of my favourite Wii games and I’m so happy that a sequel’s finally here more than a decade later.
Imagine if it was Mario 𝔖𝔬𝔣𝔱 Soccer.
Too bad it sucks compared too charged. Only ten characters from the start? And the gameplay looks unbelievable slow and plain. It looks like the soccer mini game in the Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games series. This game is just a mini game
@@zeldzamezeeslak6082 I never played Charged, I only played the original on GC, and compared to that, this isn't really that slow. It actually feels like it pays more homage to the GC game than Charged to me. It probably should've gone closer to Charged, but given the decade gap, maybe they wanted to play it a little safer for their first time back.

This is one of those games i was afraid they'd just make a lifeless port/remaster of, but I'm glad they made a sequel. This honestly takes the game way further than I'd ever think was possible.
Its difficult to see how it will turn out atm, they changed the whole concept of the game it self really (all main characters on field, not unlimited charged shots, not able to be goali)

Holy crap we finally have a new Strikers game my life is complete.
I love that they're making a new Mario Strikers! I always wanted to play it, and I can't wait to play as Daisy since she's the best player. Daisy is literally the princess of soccer, it's her best sport and it's gonna be fun playing as her in the new Mario Strikers. ^^
I didn’t see her in the trailer or character selection sadly but I’m really hoping Daisy is in it!! She’s been in the rest of them so there’s no reason to take her out of this one she’s awesome

Man this brings huge nostalgia vibes. From what I'm seeing it seems to me like a merge between the simplistic but fantastic gameplay of Super Mario Strikers on the GameCube and the violence of Charged on the Wii, while at the same time adding new elements to make this game have its own unique feel. Kind of like what they did with Smash Bros Ultimate. Looks 🔥🔥🔥

This both brings back the Mario Strikers feel and also reminds me of the lovely gear style/sports aesthetic/music of the sadly-departed Brawl Busters. Yay both!

So glad they brought back the Mario Strikers series! Mario Strikers Charged was one of my favorites on the Wii growing up!
I kinda miss the darker gritty almost cell-shaded looks. This one looks very sanitized (and not exactly like a graphical upgrade, i'd actually even say it looks downgraded which is a bit shockin)

I'm really missing the "agressivity"/"epicity" from carged. I understand they are different titles, but the color palette should be darker and maybe combined with stronger bright colors

After 14 Years, I never thought I would see a New Mario Strikers Game. I wanted this for a Decade. My wish finally came true. The art style looks fantastic, the gameplay looks really good, online multi-player, and the graphics are amazing. Definitely Day One For Me. Finally, Mario Strikers Lives On. My Childhood! I'm worried about the character personalities. One of the aspects of Strikers Charged that made it stick out from other Mario sports games was the anger, confidence, and overall personality displayed from each character. I doubt that Nintendo will continue this trope, however I hope that even a little bit of emotion is put into the Team leaders and sidekicks's animations, voices and logos, etc.
I'm glad you're looking at things differently. People just looking at it all hype and it's a new game. We just have to wait and see more.
Unfortunately it seems like this one’s going to be pretty watered down, which doesn’t shock me considering how modern Nintendo has been handling basically everything.
I’m really hoping Daisy keeps her personality (if she’s even in this game). Deanna Mustard was an incredible voice actor for her.
I totally agree with you here. I mean Nintendo just doesn’t listen very well and they reuse the old voice clips from their previous old games butchered into their new upcoming games or in development.
Facts bro I think for once seeing the whole aggression and anger and competitiveness was the reason everybody fell in love with this game more because it was so so different and and captivated a lot of people through that competitiveness and aggression 🤷🏾♂️ so game seems watered down and pg friendly but never righting it off I guess but if you see the trailer and game play for the old Mario strikers you’ll see a big difference in the energy alone 🙆🏾♂️

I have to tell you, the style of this series is a complete 180 from the rest of the Mario series. The characters are flashier with a ton of personality, and a lot of people came to love characters like Daisy and Waluigi from their crazy personalities in Strikers. Honestly, this looks a little tamer than the previous games lol

THIS IS AMAZING!! The previous game was simply fantastic and seeing a new entry in development was such a shocker to me. Although I must say that having played Charged very recently (I wanted to revisit this classic of my childhood and oh my god was this game good) this new entry seems a bit slower and way less aggressive than how it used to be...
I just hope that it was just due to the showcase trying to make it look less chaotic.

I’m so glad to see this series return in its former glory! MY GOSH that art style is so stylistic and unique! If this ALSO comes with the promise of future DLC, the soundtrack is as good as it was in the previous entries and Daisy returns with her signature sass, this game will be a switch title that’ll keep me coming back for a LONG time!

She’s been in every spin off Mario game for ages now from Mario Kart to Mario Party so she’ll definitely make an appearance! Never played a Strikers game but I’ve seen stuff about the previous ones (especially Charged) and they seemed very energetic and stylistic, not to mention the intensity and heart they put into the animations. With that in mind, this looks promising.
I truly hope this game lives up to its predecessors cuz I think I might actually pick this one up

Seems like many of OG’s game play elements have made it in.
Hopefully they make a much better tutorial because the original tutorial was terrible for beginners.
Explanations for setting up plays is necessary.
I wonder if special characters abilities are back like in charged
0:50 Looks like the ball lost its charge after it was passed. Maybe because toad didnt catch it perfectly. Either way the charging mechanic is probably different from previous game. Also 1:42 DK smashes his own teammate Waluigi which gives him speed bost. He would probably also tackle opponents on the way as we can see same thing happening in the cutscene at 0:25 where Bowser tackles his teammate Donkey Kong where he rushes forward and smacks opponents on the way. So it looks like there is new feature and its pretty cool. Also there is probably sprint ability (not mushroom). You can see rosalina sprinting at 1:03 when shes actually running on her feet reather than floating. You can also see peach sprinting at 2:04 and 2:31. There is colored trail behind them when theyre sprinting.
The electric slide tackles probably have something to do with the arrows that appear before a character tackles. Maybe you can charge a tackle like how you charge a shot.

At this point I wasn't expecting any new Mario Sports game other than Tennis & Golf, much less a new Mario Strikers! That's wild. Hopefully our next Mario Sports game is a new Mario Sluggers (baseball) game, because I played the heck out of Mario Super Sluggers as a kid.
It seems like Nintendo didn't let us down about another Mario Strikers game. We been waiting for another one since the Wii era. Now they brought it back.

I’m so very excited for this game and hope even more Mario sports games are announced. My favorite was Mario Baseball for the Wii and I still go back to it from time to time; oh I wish they make another Mario Baseball someday

I love the Mario Strikers series! It makes the Mario characters complete badasses and soccer itself cool! I’m so happy this entry is continuing the tradition!
Hoped we could’ve gotten an improved version of Mario Strikers Charged, but normal Mario Strikers is amazing too
