Great video! Thanks for not starting with "What's up guys?!? Today I'm gonna blah blah blah..." Very concise and detailed, something RUclips is missing a lot of. Deeply appreciated.
I got a 2021 cold air intake, my stock intake box doesn’t have a PVC system but has a slot for it on my new cold air intake. Do I clog the hole or it’ll be fine as is?
Do you know where to find a replacement grommet for a 2014 300 ? I ripped mine and don’t want to have to buy a full intake but don’t know what size grommet to buy
So this adds some horse power ? Or better acceleration ?I’m looking to make some upgrades. I’ve been looking into a turbo as well. Does anyone know much about that? Or which one too get ?
My mounting bracket isnt lined up 100%. I got the bolt in but the washer kinda rattles when you touch it. It's not at all noticeable when the car is on or driving around. Did I strip the bolt? Is this going to cause issues with my engine in the future? Runs and drives awesome, but it's only been a day.
I had a similar issue but its with the rubber grommet, it doesn't seat very well. I haven't had any issue though. The other mounting points are enough to keep it in position and there is also downward presser from the hood. If I were you I would just check on it from time to time but overall I would say you should be fine. Thanks for the comment!
Hey Trevor, no particular reason for it being plastic. This style of K&N is plastic but I do believe they offer an aluminum CAI as well. If you're wondering about its strength, its very rigid. You'd probably have to run it over with a vehicle for it to break.
No engine light problems here. But if it did you'd probably want to hook a scanner up to see what's causing the issue. Normally your local auto parts store can help with scanning your car.
Hey M P, we have a video that goes over changing the spark plugs on a Grand Prix GTP (ruclips.net/video/MyUe1cHA0Qc/видео.html). Not quite a Chrysler 300 but the same general concepts still apply in regards to the removal, gaping and replacing. Hope this helps.
I don't know if it's 100% identical but I'm sure a large majority of the steps would be close enough to get the job done. Overall it's a pretty easy mod and the intake comes with instructions also. Hope this helps!
Great question. To be honest I'm not 100% sure but I wouldn't think so. From what I understand the warranty (at least mine) is only void if major alterations are made, like a new cam for example. I have the 100k Mopar Protection Plan and looking over the paperwork it doesn't seem as if a cold air intake would void the warranty but I'm sure a call to a local dealer would have better clarification. Hope that helps!
@@renegaderebuilds7338 No it shouldn't affect the warranty. My only question is why would you do this? It does absolutely zero for performance on its own.
@@joejones5653 there’s literal before and after dyno results to prove it does increase performance. I don’t think you know how intakes work, clearly you shouldn’t be building engines if you think otherwise lol
I have a daily commute of 50 miles so I normally get around 25-26MPG highway but on the weekends when I get into your more regular city driving it will drop down to 21-22MPG. And honestly, the way I drive it'll get lower than that on those nice summer days. Overall I wouldn't say there was a dramatic increase in fuel economy but the throttle response and sound are night and day. Thanks for the comment! I hope this helps.
Listen I’m an idiot, so I need to be able to see the shit you guys are doing not just saying it. If I wanted it to be hard I would’ve used the instructions
tu perds des hp avec ca ses fou le best se la boite origine avec filtre a air sport perce le fond et passe un tuyau direct de la grille avant a la boite tu auras un filtre a air sport dinamyque et tu gagne 10hp pi sa coute ben mois cher
We removed the MAP sensor and then replace it. It takes about a 1/2 turn to remove it and it just slides into the rubber grommet in the new intake. Hope that helps!
Thank you bro, I bought a k&n cold air intake and I never would have installed it without your video, thanks again
Glad to hear it helped!

You the goat for providing a list of tools needed. ‼️‼️‼️
When u put the air sensor back,u have to put it back upright not horizontal so it can measure the air
Great Instructions Thanks for Video
Awesome video! Thanks for breaking it down so very detailed.
I just got my second hand looks good
For $130 Probably by tomorrow I’m going to install it
Nice! It's a good upgrade, you'll feel the difference.
Tx bro was a real help 🙏
Good job with the how to video, thank you 👍

any reason you went with the plastic versus aluminum CAI? I'm looking to get one for my Chrysler 300c

Trevor Foote the plastic doesn’t hold in all that heat like the aluminum does. That plastic is a better way to go.
Hey did you have to drill the hole for the map sensor?
No, it was ready to go right out of the box. Just had to put in the rubber grommet and you're ready to go.
Did your engine light come on? If so how did u make it go away
No engine light problems here. But if it did you'd probably want to hook a scanner up to see what's causing the issue. Normally your local auto parts store can help with scanning your car.
My next venture right here. You know anything about doing spark plugs the right way?

Hi can you please recommend the best exhaust for 300c v6 mate?
Solo performance look them up on Instagram and Facebook
I got my exhaust from them it sounds great
I have turbo mufflers on mine. If you want a full exhaust take a look at RIPP Superchargers. They make an exhaust that's very nice and sounds great.
@@krisonsalley what kind of exhaust?
@@jc6593 it’s called solo performance
Would the step by step be the same for the 2017 model ?
I don't know if it's 100% identical but I'm sure a large majority of the steps would be close enough to get the job done. Overall it's a pretty easy mod and the intake comes with instructions also. Hope this helps!
I just did this. Of course it was getting dark. It barely sits in the throttle thingy! I don't think it will move though
Good stuff!
Hey bro would this be the same for the 2014 300s too ?
Realistically the install would be very close to the same, but you might need to buy a different model intake from K&N.
Is it true swappin cai can mess with the cpu and sometimes cause the check engine light to come on?
Yeah
@@tomcar302 have u gotten check engine light yet?
I haven't had any problems thus far or heard of anyone having this problem but I can see how it could throw a code.
You know it's the same step for a 2020 300?
What happens if you drop a nut down that hole beneath the filter?
You should make sure you get it out. You can use a magnet.
can you tell me what intake that is like the model ?
The part number for K&N is 57-1564 but you'll want to do some research yourself you make sure that's exactly what you need for your vehicle/year.
You didnt need to unplug the negative side of the battery?
No, that's not needed. If you'd like to do so for an extra layer of safety you can but overall you shouldn't need to worry. Thanks for the question!
does wd-40 work as lubricant?
Does everything needed to install the intake come with it?
Yes, it is 100% ready right out of the box.
Will this turn your engine light on ?
No, you don't need to worry about it throwing any codes.
Do you need any tuning?does it damage anything?
No tuning needed and it doesn't damage anything. It's a great upgrade.
Can you put this on a Dodge Grand Caravan 3.6?
This specific cold air intake, probably not. But I'd be willing to be K&N has one that is made for a Dodge Grand Caravan.
Is it worth the money ? I have a 2015 Dodge Charger 3.6.
Personally I think so. The throttle response is 10x better. I'd recommend it.
Thanks !! 👍🏻
Where did you get the rubber grommet from?
It came with the kit. Everything you need is in the kit or already part of the car. Hope this helps.
When is the after song bro?😢
Where*
Well for the video but the Amfilt race raises McCane's ability????
I wish I knew what you were talking about in your comment but that went right over my head! Thanks for the comment either way IBO.
